Reservation was made because of concert held at Impact Arena. The location is quite close to the venue (sure is not as close as Novotel). There's shuttle bus or a bridge to link to the venue which I found very convenience. However the way from airport to the hotel is around an hour and a half drive. The hotel is very straight for the check-in time and once started to check in the queue is super long. I waited around another hour for check-in. I found a bit disappointed while I check-in the staff used Thai-language shouted for few words and there's a lot of people was jumping the queue after. I guessed she was asking guests with membership to check in first, however, only in Thai but no English, was feeling bad about this. And specially who did this is the Manager or Leader of the team. Anyway, the hotel beside of staff is all fine, and the room is like all kind of Ibis, same design and same size. Don't expect there will be a bathtub.

This is the best hotel in this area. The friendliness and professionalism from all of the staff is what makes this five-star experience. I usually don't go out of my way to write reviews, unless a venue stands out above the rest and this place certainly does. Aside from a great location, every thing was above par. Rooms are clean and we'll furnished. The executive lounge and restaurant offer a fantastic breakfast with stunning views of the city. Checking in and out was so easy and fast. We come to this area of Bangkok quite often as my son competes in tennis tournaments at the LTAT which is located about 1km away. We always stay here and will continue to do so. Truly a fine hotel with the friendliness staff I've ever seen. Well spoken English as well. Thank you for making our stays memorable.

We stayed here for 3 nights. We have chosen this hotel because we went to Thailand to watch a concert. This hotel is near impact arena. The location is quite far to the city or other tourist destination in the center of Bangkok but this is not issue for us because we have read the location before we book this, besides our main purpose is to be near in the impact arena. We still went to the city proper via grab or taxi as it is not that expensive and more convenient. About the hotel itself, it is excellent. We feel like the hotel we booked is a five star hotel in a very good price. Facilities are very good too. Don’t ever miss the breakfast as there so many choices! We will definitely stay again here if we are going to watch a concert!

For those using Don Muang Airport for international or within-Thailand travel, Amari Don Muang Airport Bangkok Hotel is perhaps the most convenient location to rest at. The best thing about this hotel is that it is not near the crowded central Bangkok. But even if you decide to travel to inner Bangkok, taxi meter is not expensive. Don Muang area is very nice to be at. You can travel to Nonthaburi and Pathumthani very easily. If you're here for a shopping spree, The Mall at Nonthaburi, Central Rattanathibet, even Zeer Rangsit and Rangsit Futurepark are all alternatives and far from the beaten path. Food and drinks are available at the hotel, but I'd recommend you learn some basic Thai for conversation, which will help a great deal cos local food providers are just across the road from the hotel, with sane local prices. I picked up a black tea for 160B at the hotel lobby lounge. Across the road? 20B. So do consider learning basic colloquial Thai. Include it as your total travel experience. Learn the language, the culture... and I'm sure you'll be visiting Thailand again, and again... even though your flight is 12hrs far away. The hotel itself has a nice pool which is far from public view, perhaps only visible from the air. This is not a new hotel, but some renovations must have been done at some point in time so it's not terribly old. The rooms are generously big and spacious so no issues if you (and your mate) are giants. Room facilities are all modern and up-to-date. Flat screen tv, hot shower, toiletries... all at your finger's touch. Hotel facilities are also more than adequate. Lobby bar, restaurants, and even a bridge to get you direct from the hotel to/fro Don Muang Airport. Trust me, this bridge (airconditioned) will be very useful to use during the hot seasons, so that you won't have to reckon the heat and the sunlight. Staff at this hotel are all helpful and friendly. My wife and I have stayed here many times. It is very convenient for us. It is a rather long and not cheap ride from Suvarnabhumi (BKK).-we always arrange a car from inside for safety and security rather than take a public taxi-but the hotel is quite close to Don Muang (DMK)-though no airport noise. We usually stay a couple of days to unwind from the 30 hr trip before going to our winter home upcountry for about 4 months then another couple of days on the way out. The great attraction for us beyond the comforts of a nice hotel is the huge number of mainly Thai style restaurants (at least 40) in the Zeer shopping center. Excellent roast duck. A sushi bar. A food court and a food center. A supermarket. Bakeries galore. Shopping for any electronic item available in Thailand. Much ordinary quality clothing. All is directed to the local market. Foreigners are not a large part of the customer base though not at all rare. A night market in the parking lot. McDonalds. About 2 km from Future Park one of the largest shopping centers in Thailand. The hotel itself is very quiet. The hustle and bustle of commerce does not intrude on your rest. Several banks and ATMs. Great place for our needs.

The Journey Hotel is one of the best minimalist hotels I have stayed in. This hotel has a business hotel feel to it and is very close to Don Muaeng Airport. It is perfect if you want to catch an early flight from Don Muaeng. The rooms are very very spacious! The price is very affordable and the staff there go out of their way to help you despite their lack of English conversation skills. You should keep in mind that this hotel is close to Don Muaeng. Which implies that it is far from the central Bangkok and all the attractions. It'll be a good 1 hr taxi ride in one direction considering there is no traffic congestion. The hotel doesn't have its own restaurant but there some nice local and European food options at a stone's throw. This is a perfect stopover hotel and I would definitely book it again if I have an early morning flight from Don Muaeng.

the hotel is in good size grounds set back from main road but not noisy at all. It's not a modern boutique hotel but an older style though the rooms are larger and very clean. There is a large car park in front which unfortunately was full due to a meeting there but there was parking at the rear, if there is a meeting the place is busy, you can't sit in reception and breakfast is busy BUT the staff were very helpful and speak acceptable English, We were upgraded for free to a deluxe room with a fruit platter, gowns, slippers, bath tub, minibar, safe, sofa and chairs and we weren't disturbed from neighbours or the hallway as they have covered the tiles with carpet. We actually had a good night sleep, the bed was very comfortable with 4 pillows and there were black out curtains.The buffet breakfast was pretty good with quite a large choice of foods . There is also a coffee shop and alternative restaurant there. The lift has signs for fitness, massage , sauna and pool, none of which are at the hotel any more. They have been closed since March 2015 and are being relocated to a new area and not expected to be completed for another 2 years ! Internet wasn't the fastest but it was free and worked. Next to the hotel is a small night market selling local foods and a short walk, as well as a 7-11 convenience store and across the road (use the footpath) is a mall called the Avenue which has a mix of foods, Pizza, Korean, Japanese and Sizzler ( steaks, burgers, salad bar).. We were there as we had to visit the Government offices a short 500m walk away so it was very convenient for us. Overall it's a great hotel in a great position but don't be surprised if there is a meeting on, this won't ruin your stay but it's not a quiet hotel.

had a full day of business at Immigration and had no desire to fight Bangkok traffic, so looked for something close and reasonably priced. This place priced right in my sweet spot (40-60 USD) and it wasn't even a short taxi ride; I could walk to the immigration office from the hotel in 5 minutes!! The hotel is also pretty darn convenient to Don Muang airpot- which handles mainly domestic, Air Asia and charters The rooms are spacious, clean and loads of tv channels - the vast majority in Thai, Chinese, Bahasa etc. But there are a few in English with stuff like news and a movie channel. All-in-all, not bad, not great. The class of room I booked (the cheapest one) is only available in twin bed arrangement, no single queen bed available, That may not be true for the higher categories. But other than the bed thing, it was frankly, an international class hotel room for 3-4 star hotels. The place is very clean, very new and modern. The staff quite helpful. Checkin was a breeze. I got breakfast as part of my package but didn't use it because when I went at 720AM, they were being totally innundated with a large contingent of Chinese tourists. I can only assume they were all in the same group. If you stay here, and expect to do the breakfast, you may want to avoid the rush hour, or not. Take part in the pandemonium. It could be fun. In short: when I have business in that part of town; I would certainly be willing to use these guys again

I took this hotel due to my early morning flight the nextday. Its located far from any tourist destination. 7eleven is about 500m away. Tesco 1km away. Its facing Shell petrol station. Theres nothing much here. Most taxi dont know where it is located. Need to call the hotel for location. Plus is its about 25mins to Don Muang international Airport. Trip cost bth88 only. If you taking the taxi from airport to the hotel they overcharge us bth600! Breakfast spread was sufficient. Room was clean on the 5th floor. Very well design. Lobby is inviting.

This hotel is best for staying if u have a connecting flight from DMK or BKK There is a fashion island mall close by which is good for branded shopping stuff if you have some time. Otherwise typical markets and tourist attractions are far from this hotel. This is not a tourist area at all. I didn't find any restaurants with menus in english. Otherwise in Bangkok tourist areas, all restaurants have bi lingual menus.

The hotel is clean and tidy and very near to Don Mung airport, It is perfect as a 1 night stay as a place to stay before travelling from DMK. The best feature for me, was the car park there. It is covered, very large and locked - very secure. It costs 100 baht a night, first night free as you have booked a room there. The room is OK for one night, clean and functional and costs around 700 baht. The hotel is very hard to find even though it is very close to DMK. There is a free shuttle sevice to DMK, but it only runs at 6am and 7am. Taxi from the hotel to DMK is around 100 baht. I stayed there 1 night and parked for 9 days and the cost for parking was 800 baht. I was very pleased to stay here overnight as we had a very early morning flight to Korea and it meant we did not have to miss a nights sleep with all the extra travelling to DMK, Very relaxing and stress free (well reduced anyway!).

Ebina Hotel is really really near don muang airport that's why a few airport cab drivers seemed hesitate to drive us, so we didn't want to bargain when the taxi counter staff charged us 200baht. From hotel to airport, the very nice lady cab driver used meter and the fare was about 100 baht only. Hotel to Chatuchak market is not too far but the journey back is further due to one-way road and cab driver have to drive pass the hotel on the other side of the road towards airport then u-turn after IT Mall. After passing by two 7-11, ask the driver to turn left into the lane , you will see the tall hotel on the left. The hotel surrounding might look remote at first, but after exploring, in fact it's quite happening. There is a big spa & massage place next door(staff quite friendly), and a restaurant (in residential house setting) which serves very very yummie thailand food, many local customers, we ate there every night-big bone soup, papaya salad, bbq fish, etc. all are really aroi, price reasonable and staff are friendly, miss the food... There is a market right next to the hotel too which opens in the morning till around 1pm, yummie food & lots of stuff to buy. There are also several convenient stores outside the hotel. Staff of Ebina Hotel are very friendly & helpful, especially Ms Chanchao & Kat-sorry if I spell your name wrongly :). Concierge always willing to walk all the way outside the hotel to call for cab for us. The room we stayed is very spacious, comfortable and clean. We like the breakfast too, many variety, fruits, salad, noodle, etc. Will stay in this hotel again.

Booked a double queen room through agoda, arrived late at night to be given a twin room which was much, much smaller. Nothing could be done that night as it was a night receptionist. Next day we queried with both agoda and the hotel reception. Reception made the relevant calls to agoda and cleared up the problem and moved us into the correct room which i had booked. The double queen room was very nice lots of space in the room which we needed as we had three large suitcases. Comfy queen size beds, shower room and toilet also nice. The Room also had a fridge and a safe. Note some of the roads in the area close at 11:30pm so you will need to go via the roads near the university when they are closed. You can hear aeroplanes occaisionally but they weren't really loud enough disturb our sleep.

If the hotel considers iself three star, and wants to atract international customers , it should make the tv channels attractive to non Thai visitors. cheap guest houses in Laos and Thailand have better tv facilities. the room was not finished - the bedroom back wall was unpainted, and there were gaps in plastering of the bathroom door jam, and there was an odour from the shower drain. the trip to Don Mueang in the very early morning was just satisfactory - if it had been later on then the distance to the airport would have created a problem.

This hotel is very new and clean. The room is very good and big. The bed is very comfortable and nice. I love it here. Will come back again. The staff is really really nice. She helped me with everything. They even provided free dessert when I came back from work. Breakfast is very good. They change menu every single day. Especially dessert, it is very varieties. The hotel also has a free bike in case you do not have a car to go out. You will love it here.

I am a frequent traveler and I stay at dozens of hotels each year. We booked this hotel due to it's price and close location to Don Muang Airport as we were flying out early morning. We were pleasantly surprised at how nice the hotel was and the quaint old city neighborhood it was in. It was a newly renovated couple of row-houses and was very clean and modern. The free WiFi worked great. We walked around the neighborhood at night and there was a bit of a travelers vibe to it with Thai and foreign tourists staying at the many hotels and guest houses in the area so they could be close to the airport. There were plenty of nice restaurants and street food vendors for us to choose from for dinner and we got a great meal about a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Walking to the airport in the morning was very easy and took myself, my wife, and my 60+ year old mother-in-law only 10 minutes from the hotel to inside the Don Muang Airport. Very nice and professional staff.

We stayed there with kids and major factor to book it was that it is close to airport and it has swimming pool. The pool was on the roof and our kids loved it. Hotel restaurant is good and inexpensive. There are plenty of local family restaurants nearby as well as shops and market places so the hotel has perfect location. I recommend to go outside and try local service as this is very cheap and very local. It is not a tourist area so you can try Thai.

We arrived at night and were a little worried at first but when we pulled up to the hotel we were greeted by very friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere. The rooms were basic but very neat and tidy and perfectly adequate for a night near the airport. After settling in and booking our airport transfer with the friendly staff for the following morning we wandered down the main street for a bite to eat. We stopped at the first little street restaurant we saw and ate delicious authentic Thai food and met the locals with whom we sat and had a few drinks and lots of laughs. A great night all in all..!! We will definitely stay at the Pool House Service Residence again while in transit in Bangkok.

Western travellers are not comfortable with the name "Buddy" in the hotel name. They think it is a cheap low class hotel becasue of the "Buddy". It's certanily not bad to be friendly, "Buddy" -like but it's not suitable for hotel name if you want to attract westerners. Sad coz the Buddy Oriental Riverside is a fantastic hotel! A SLEEPING BEAUTY!!! I have stayed in more than 100 hotels in Thailand - from 2 stars to 5 stars (Royal orchid Sheraton, Ramada Riverside) but this is my favourite. I and my wife (who is thai) just love it. Great personal, great breakfast, 2 great pools, such beautiful decorations and artefacts, such spacious rooms, diner, outdoor restaurant by the Chao Praya river,secluded from traffic and the. And on top of that this beautiful colonial style architecture with high ceilings in rooms and everywhere.. This second time my wife and I also tried the spa with massage and that was the best we have had in all Thailand, and then we have had about 1000 massages around all Thailand, ok! And on top of it all - since the main road is a bit away,the serenity, the calmness, and just the slow river traffic... wow... I am sure you are gonna love it if you go here too. This is actually a 5 star hotel,. ok. /
