Hotels near Siam Amazing Park

We stayed at the Novotel Airport Hotel in March 2008. It is a fine place to spend an overnight when arriving in Bangkok in the evening and catching a plane the next morning. Shuttle busses run with high frequency [at least every 10 minutes]. At the 5 am hour of our morning flight one was waiting at the front door for us and as soon as we loaded we were on our way for the 5 minute ride. It makes sense to stay at the airport because the ride to downtown hotels is 30 minutes without traffic and 90 minutes or more during busy times. We found no dedicated walkways like the sky bridge for the Sheraton in Frankfurt or like the underground tunnel for the Hilton at O’Hare. It seems like one could walk across a large parking lot and arrive at the hotel; but with the heat and humidity of Bangkok and the timeliness of the shuttles why bother. Once inside check in was friendly and quick. We booked through Agoda [search for them on Google] and saved 20-30 percent over the best prices at the Novotel website. Part of the savings was that breakfast was not included, which aligned with our preference as there was a breakfast on the next morning’s flight. Agoda provided a voucher [by email] which we printed and was necessary to turn in to pay for our room. The rooms were modern with all the amenities expected in a top notch business class hotel. The bed was very comfortable and the towels wonderfully plush. Wifi is available in the rooms at approximately $15 for 12 hours. The hotel staff was attentive, friendly, and always smiling. Security guards were posted in several spots on every floor. The football field sized lobby is worth a dinner, snack, or cocktail. The highly polished black marble floor reflects the light used to illuminate the large potted trees creating a splendid illusion. Two food/drink establishments flank the lobby where we ate sandwiches and a glass of wine -- $45 for two.

I had a great stay at this hotel for two nights. Their airport shuttle service works very smoothly and the hotel is literally round the corner from the airport in the Lad Krabang area. I stayed in the main building where you check in, and the interior is very nice and modern. I stayed in room and it was spotless, really spacious and furnished beautifully, with a balcony. The bathroom was tiled really beautifully as well. You can see they take a lot of care as everything was labelled and organised, towels folded into shapes etc. The aircon worked well as did the wifi. There was no sound on some of the TV channels, but this was easily fixed by swapping round the audio cable at the back. There was coffee and water available in the room, and ice in the freezer compartment of the fridge. They provide shampoo but no soap/toothpaste which I would have liked, especially it being an airport hotel. The only thing I'd change is ask to be in a room further down the corridor and away from the stairs, as it was possible to hear people going up and down the stairs, which was a disturbance at night with people arriving late from the airport. The location is good as it's near Lad Krabang Road with bus stops very close by, and just about five to ten minutes from Phra Chom Klao and Hua Takhe railway stations on the Eastern line. Outside the hotel are 7/11s and Family Marts and lots of night food stalls. Five minutes on foot is an amazing, huge night market open 4-9pm with a huge variety of goods, including a great food section. Another five minutes from there over the bridge is a really beautiful public park called Prana Korn with all the bushes trimmed into shapes of animals. It's full of songbirds, lakes and a public childrens swimming pool. A 20 min taxi ride (140-180 baht) gets you to Mega Bangna mall for shopping and restaurants galore. Also near there, just before reaching the mall is a huge Tesco Lotus. I think there is a public bus to get you most of the way there too.

The Miracle Transit hotel is located on the airside part of the terminal. Actually on the departure side. As transit passenger you don't have to pass immigration and all that hassle. There are just two things to know: After arrival you have to go one level up and pass the security check for connecting flights. Then locate where you are and know which of the hotels you booked (there are two according info staff) The signing on the BKK airport is marginal at the best and the electronic info boards are not detailed enough to help... so expect a bit of search to find the hotel. The hotel itself is booked by the hour. I booked via Agoda for one night. After payment I got the booking confirmation mentioning for 6 hours only. This was the first time I have seen it. May be it was in the fine print some where before, but the contract from Agoda with them is for a 6 hours stay only - not a night! I paid 2 additional hours for 36US$ which is a lot compared to the price I booked before - kind of a rip off. I would not book it this way anymore - sorry! But as I said, may be it was written in the fine print before that is NOT a night, as mentioned and expected. As summary I have to say, it was ok and gave me a good rest. Very basic facilities but clean and quiet. I may use it again

I have arrived at the hotel and welcome by great smiling staff with complimentary drink while we check in. Room is spacious bed is so comfortable. Hot water available AC is perfect. Safe and other amenities such as kettle provided. I found staff are extremely helpful and smiling with greetings at all times. Breakfast is 5 star. Restaurant staff kindest ever seen. Shuttle bus available. Superheros robots makes hotel special touches. Car park is convenient. A lot of restaurant and live music places walking distance. I needed assistance Mr. Worravit Pholab, General Manager personally take care of with professional and friendly manner. I will definitely stay again this hotel. Because I am completely satisfied and happy during my stay. I strongly recommend anyone who needs airport hotel accommodation. No noise. Relation through out my stay.

We stayed there for two nights because we wanted a place near the airport and didn't want to switch hotels after one night. It is in a bit of an industrial section of town but very close to the airport. We had a car so we were able to drive anywhere we wanted and they had parking on premises. If you're looking for a place near the hotel it's a great option but I don't think I would stay there if I didn't have a car and wanted to do things in the city.... Location is 5 stars if you want to be near the airport but probably 2 or 3 stars if you don't...

Stayed 1 night in Superior room (incl breakfast deal). Had some business to do near Airport, so chose this hotel for its location. Easy to find using Google maps. Car parking no problem, although limited in front of the hotel. Checkin fast and easy with Agoda voucher. Reception staff very pleasant. Room was large, clean and exactly same as Agoda photos. Kingsize bed comfortable. Aircon very efficient. Bathroom clean. Good shower. Our room faced the busy front street (Ladkrabang Rd), but traffic noise was almost inaudible. Certainly not a problem for us, however, the rear rooms would certainly be a little quieter I think. We had evening meal in the hotel restaurant. Extensive Thai and Western menu. Very good. Buffet style breakfast in same restaurant. Reasonable Western selection. Good Thai selection. All good. Overall, a very nice hotel near Airport. Staff, rooms, meals all very satisfactory. Would stay again.

We live in Thailand and have stayed in many hotels throughout the country over a number of years. We werer staying one night to say goodbye to my daughter who was emigrating to Korea. The hotel was minutes away from the Airport so we benefitted from the 2 way transfer. This was on time, no waiting and efficient. Saved me driving and parking at the Airport. Huge plus. Booking in was excellently handled as the English spoken by the staff was very good. Better than most English we hear. The room was large enough to also have a single bed in the room. The balcony overlooked a small lake at the end of the klong, giving a real sense of privacy. Amazingly although next to a main road, with Aircraft flying almost overhead, there was no noise. Considering how close we were to the Airport I was impressed by the peacefulness throughout the hotel. The beds in Thailand are almost always too hard. Whist ours seemed hard at first testing, we noticed that we both slept well with none of the aching backs normally suffered. In fact I would say the bed was excellent. Nice big quilt too. Nice to snuggle under when the Air Con gets going. Excellent again. The deal included a buffet breakfast, which was adequate. A choice of fried eggs, chicken sausage and ham (ABF) and some thai dishes. Lashings of toast and jam, tea, coffee, orange juice etc. Help yourself, which I like as it means I get properly cooked toast. To a Thai, toast means warm bread, not the golden brown we farangs know. The swimming pool looked inviting but time was against us. But a nice size for those looking to relax in the sun for a few hours. I particularly liked the fact that the hotel is with metres of the new bicycle lane which runs into Bangkok. The hotel rents out bikes which actually look reasonably decent ones. Great for those keen types. Fishing in the klong too, and will cook your catch too. Free, you pay for the ingredients only. Judging this hotel against similar in its price range (we paid under Bht900) I

the hotel is a 2-minute walk down a quiet side street. from one side of the hotel, you can actually see the airport control tower and planes parked on the tarmac, but you never hear noise; only a slight distant rumbling if you stay on the airport view side of the hotel, but nothing at all if you stay on the street side. good staff and excellent small restaurant that services only thai food but only has the menu in english. this food starts from 80 baht a plate and the most expensive dishes are ! very cheap and big portions, perfectly cooked. don't miss their red curry which is delicious and spicy. we have stayed here 4 times, usually 1 or 2 nights only, and will stay for 1 month (got a special price) later this year when my girlfriend has to go to bangkok to sit law exams. the most convenient airport hotel and probably the one with the best price-quality ratio.

This place was a lucky find. We had booked a nearby hotel only to find that there was mold growing all over the bathroom. After being shown several other rooms, all the same or worse, and being refused a free cancellation, we contacted Agoda. The representative got us out of that bad deal allowing us to find the Park Nine. It was a lucky night. The place is brand new and offers amenities and services that one would expect of a hotel twice the price. The staff is well trained and everything is very clean. We originally overlooked this place because they did not advertise a shuttle service to the airport, as do other hotels in the area. Do not worry about that. Taxis are clean and safe and cheaper than shuttles, and the front desk will have one waiting for you with upon request. Do make sure you book through Agoda, or another OTA as the walk-in price is higher. Overall, we could not have been happier with our stay. I highly recommend this place if you need to stay near the airport.

I stay here only for the night. It was very cheap so I was bit worried but when I got there I was quite surprised as room was very big, clean, nice shower and bath. The swimming pool was the best part of this hotel. I knew the hotel was close to the Suvarnabhumi airport but didn't know that close. When I was swimming I could see planes taking off just like right in front of me. This amazed me so much. I totally forgot I was swimming. The pool was nice and clean! I definately will stay at this hotel if I have chance to go to Bangkok again!

We flew in at 8pm and flew out 11.30am the next day so mainly just wanted a hotel with shower, comfy bed and shuttle service from/to the airport. During our tour of asia we've stayed in numerous hotels of various star rating. Previously I'd stayed in a hotel right in the airport but was looking for something less expensive. We were delighted with the Lilac-it ticked all the boxes for us. Most importantly the hotel and shuttle bus were clean and fresh. As arranged, somebody was waiting at Gate 4 with a placard bearing our name upon arrival. I guess this was an agent (probably working for a few smaller airport hotels) who rang the hotel to advise of our arrival. We were asked to sit and wait until the driver arrived. We waited no more than 15 minutes. The shuttle bus was clean and fresh and the driver packed our luggage and took it to our room upon arrival at the hotel. Its about a 15 minute drive to/from the airport. Check in was fast and they asked whether we'd like a wake up call and made arrangements with us for our shuttle service the next morning. The room facilities were shown and a very nice touch, which was unique to the Lilac in our travels, is a small but free selection of goodies in the mini-bar inc 2xbeers, 2xsoft drinks, 2xwater, biscuits, chips, tea/coffee/fresh milk. Free wifi to the room. There was an ad in the room advising that massages could be arranged at 250Bhat for an hours foot massage. Although we never ended going in to town, they did offer to drive us to the local railway station to catch a train in, if required. The bathroom was compact but functional-probably the best shower we'd had in weeks staying at other hotels. The beds/pillows were comfy. The Lilac has a feminine signature about it, inc its colour and decor. From a marketing perspective, this may not be so appealing to men but this aside you could not beat the value, cleanliness and service at Lilac given the low cost. I'd highly recommend it for a stopover.

I had very good sleep time, very quiet at night, only few guests were leaving early for the airport around 4 or 5 a.m. What I like the most was the firm mattress which was good quality as in 4 or 5 stars hotel, stuffed pillow, nice blanket, clean bathroom but too small shower area. I heard the noise of airport link railway in the morning but wasn't really disturbing me. This hotel was located near to the airport. Hard to find the place which shown on the map if you were new to this area, GPS did't help much because it made me drove around in the loop until I hit the Paseo the place where many good restaurants there about less than 3-4 kilometers away, so I would know that I was around that area. Breakfast included was 'American breakfast' served to your table (not the buffet), nice one but not really filled your tummy. The swimming pool was small and was set right there at the parking lot, opened air, between the hotel building and the restaurant, so that everyone could see you swim. The sun light was too strong to swim needed to wait until late afternoon. I would recommend for the travelers who have early flight or late arrival, one night there would be ok.

I stay here regularly. I live about 4 hours north of Bangkok and when I come to the city, I take the outer ring road to Lat Krabang instead of driving into the city. We leave our car at Panini and then take the MRT Skytrain into the city to do our things and then come back out in the evening to sleep at the hotel. Hotel is new and clean and on the main road so easy to find. Much cheaper than the hotels in the city and can take a 2 min taxi ride to Skytrain and take a stress free trip into the city and not have to worry about parking and getting the car dinged up. Also, there is a mall nearby the hotel called The Paseo that has lots of good restaurants. I particularly like the authentic Italian place there. Anyway, for us this is a great solution and I would recommend the hotel to anyone else who is considering what we do.

this place was a pleasant surprise, there were no reviews when i booked here so i decided to take a chance, glad i did. the round trip transfer from the airport is very convenient, only a few minutes away and no traffic, the room was good, fair size, new aircon, good cable and complimentary tea and coffe. the best surprise however was the bed... it's soft and not as hard as i found in the rest of thailand, comfortable soft bed and soft pillows with clean bed linen allows you the best sleep, simply great! there is not much happening at the neighborhood, but for the price at this hotel, you can't beat it! wifi was amazing fast and free of charge!!

This is an awesome hotel with that price tag. The room was beautiful and had all the facilities like a five star. The hotel is close to the airport making it excellent stay for over might transit. The hotel is very well maintained with all friendly smiling people. The pool was also good, the breakfast was good for the price. I would definitely stay there again if I just want to stay in BKK overnight. There are lots of street food near the hotel, but I didn't have a chance to try. The downside of course is that it is far from CBD, but again there is not much they could do. The airport shuttle for was the best.

I stayed here for 10 days and it was a very good stay. The hotel is modern and clean. The room is large, has a good bed, nice bathroom, nice HDTV, BBC on the cable, large refrigerator, excellent air conditioner, no musty smell that is common with many tropical hotels, and a safe. The free internet is WIFI only with daily changing username and password…the speed averages only around 1 Mbps download and .2 Mbps upload (speedtest.net) but is adequate. The restaurant is decent and looks very clean in the kitchen. I did not wake up in time to have any breakfasts but I ate a good dinner there almost every night. There is a mini-mart right down at the corner of the hotel’s street. The hotel has a nice coin washer and dryer for the guests…awesome (buy detergent at the mini-mart). All of the staff members are very friendly and very helpful. Best of all is the price. Consider this hotel for not only a close by the airport stay, but for your entire holiday in Bangkok. Yes it is away from the city by the airport, but it is so easy to flag a taxi at the mini-mart to go to the nearest Airport Rail Link (city line) station called Lat Krabang, which is only about a 10 minute/50 baht ride. Then from the Lat Krabang station it is only about a 40 minute/40 baht train ride into the city connecting to the BTS Skytrain transportation link or the MRT subway link before that…so easy. (Pick-up several different maps from the many booths at the airport arrivals level…and buy the best map of Bangkok by Groovymap.com (available from Amazon) before you come). The trains stop running at midnight which is an important consideration if you are a late partier. Ask the hotel staff to write the location of the hotel (Lat Krabang road 24) in Thai on a hotel business card. If you are not a late partier, the amount of money you save by staying out at this nice hotel with the minor inconvenience of about an hour of travel into the city and back is awesome, plus you are near the airport when leaving.

Booked this hotel for a night between flights. It was cheap, very close to the airport and did have very nice grounds. However, there's that many trees and you get eaten by mosquitoes - I mean you really do get eaten. I have over 15 bites and used mosquito cream/spray. The majority of these I got throughout the night in the room. They defiantly need to provide a mosquito net or plugin. They do provide a bug zapper but it is not effective at all.Secondly, there is no stated check in time when you book so when you arrive they tell you to wait 30mins in the restaurant area, while your rooms been made ready.You then feel obliged to buy food/drink whilst in there, to which they add a total 10% service charge to the end of the bill - each person eating. I know your not forced to buy food/drink but they know you've probably had a long journey so going to your room straight away you'll just want to shower/sleep so by them telling you to go to the restaurant and the waiter saying 'pad Thai, you want pad tai' you'll be more likely to eat food first - it's not cheap neither but is nice food. When we had finished eating and was told our room was ready (coincidently) we were shown to our room (and walked passed serval made up rooms) and the person showing us entered, wiped dust off the safe and then told us what was free and not free. Obviously hadn't been 'just cleaned'. They do however provide complimentary water, tea and a lovely pool side area. I also seen a rat run into the sauna. The shower curtain also had mould on it and isn't the best shower. Overall though it's ok to use as a bed for the evening as a one night lay over stay

We found this hotel as it was close to my wifes parents house, at the time that was sole motivation. Now, I would and will stay here again, the welcome from staff was very warm, to restraunt prepaired some amazing food and the location is great with easy access to the near by "siam adventure park". I had some good converstaions with the workers at the Chana, who always tried their utmost to make customers feel welcomed. this hotel catters for familys with split rooms. loved it

We stayed at this hotel for two nights before traveling to krabi. Hotel staff picked us up and returned us to the airport. We wanted to go on a day trip to see ayutthaya thailand historical park and the staff booked us a driver for the day named lek, who was lovely, and took us to all the places we wanted to see and too a couple extra that he thought we would like, which we did! This service was provided for around £75 which we both felt was excellent value for money! The room was very clean and the beds were huge. Great stop over location due to its proximity to the airport! Would highly recommend. My only nit pick would be the breakfast food being left out cold, but the dinners we had there were lovely. Staff were also very friendly and welcoming.

Very good accommodation - which is close to the airport but pay attention the hotels which are indicated in the vicinity of the airport are actually a bit farther away from the airport than indicated by the booking-website…the booking website just mentions the linear distance and because of all the bends and curves the real distance is much bigger (indicated was about 2,5km- but in reality it was about 7km so I had to take a taxi- costs about 150bahts- so about 4 euro)

There are several cheap hotels on this street but this one is excellent for 2 reasons: airport pickup and close to good mall. Note: for pickup just ask all the small hotel people milling around door 4. Regent does have a sign but your name is probably on it. You may wait a few minutes for the ride as they try to consolidate. Agoda checkin was smooth. Elevator to 4th floor room which was not 5 star (small chips out of furniture etc.) but was large and mine came with air, fridge and balcony. The shopping centre is only about 2 blocks away and has everything you need including cheaper stores. Many cheap restaurants and a few in the "food court" (closer to the road) with $3 Thai meals. Wake-call was correct and staff are cordial without being over-friendly. Just want I want with an airport layover. Well done Regent!

Not the best area(people) but close to shops and market. Please avoid booking this hotel if you're travelling with kids. Its not the hotel fault but just our bad luck. We came the same day with the chinese tour. Whole night the whole floor was extremely loud and noisy. They kept waking up the kids. The staffs were nice trying their best to help but unfortunately the tour was out of control. You won't be able to get a peaceful stay and sleep. The door issue was built poorly. Not blocking any noise whatsoever. On the other hand they installed some stupid system that you can not leave the door open for more that 3 secs. The alarm will go off like crazy. Can you imagine how are you going to have a peaceful sleep without the interuption from your next door or the whole floor guests.

Was only there one night. Room on the ground floor was OK but a little noisy. Parking is limited but luckily there was one space available for my pickup. Staff are helpful and friendly. Room is a good price and included breakfast. Sometimes when you book here through Agoda breakfast is not available as part of the price. Have a care. Hotel is small and not easy to find. Signage is a little hidden. Location near to Suvarnabhumi and courtesy bus service is great. Room has TV, good air con, nice shower facility, comfortable bed. There is a small selection of drinks and nibbles in the mini bar. Room service food is available but not too impressive. Breakfast is adequate only, in my view. The hotel is situated near to many food, drink and entertainment outlets. You can have a vey pleasant local evening out from the hotel base. Good choice as a hotel stopover.

Its total value for money. At the price we got the hotel we feel extremely happy and satisfied with our choice. ROOM is just perfect, avail a triple bed room if you are more than 2 adults and kids are free to stay if not older than 12 years. THE room is very clean and big too, no matter what type of room you have booked. The best part is wake up call from HOTEL for your flight and free drop. They offer 2 way pick ups also.... to and fro if you want.. During our trip .. we stayed in 5 star hotels throughout our trip and since we were to check in late for an early morning flight we choose this budget hotel but fell 100% satisfied. Highly recommened and trust my words you wont complain on the cleanliness and freshness of the rooms as most rooms are with a open air balcony. Must compliment on super clean washroom.
