Hotels near Varee International School

I've been travelling in chiangmai for many times. Gategaa village gives one of the best experience for me and my family. With this affordable price, the hotel is much more than a value-for-money. Nice decoration all around, clean and comfy bed, plus small little things showing the well-thought design every here and there.. swimming pool with extra towel, gym room, parking space, nice and caring cooked breakfast, helpful and smiley staff (yes, english language for foreigners)...what more could we ask for... :) a full score for this newly-opened hotel. we will back here if possible. <3 ps. no sponsor, we just really like this place..

simply the right choice to be based and explore chiang mai, or to relax at the gym and swimming pool / sun roof. wonderfully attentive staff. the concierge was so friendly and caring. he suggested what activities we could do and asked us what we preferred. when i told him that hiring a scooter would be our first choice he called the motor rent. within 15 minutes 3 scooters were delivered at the hotel for baht a day. far lower rates than elsewhere. yes, the hotel shows it age. during my first stay it was a westin, than sheraton and now holliday inn. i still remember when it was grand and one of the top places on the river bank on the out skirts of chiang mai. now it is a efficient place, great service and good vale for money. for 6 days we had 2 executive river view including a very good breakfast buffet, free wifi internet and 2 free laundry items a day. executive river view means spacious rooms with breathtaking views from the top floors. the best to explore and understand the lay out of the city and its surroundings. there is no best location in chiang mai. if located in the old city it is as for to the night market as from the holliday inn. staying in the night market area it is not so close to china town and its markets. doi suthep, ban tawai or sankamphaeng is out of the city any way and hiring scooters solves the hassle of finding tuk-tuks or taxis. despite of the free hotel shuttle to the night market. i will remember the holliday inn chiang mai as the right choice that contributed to a great stay in the north of thailand.

Living up to all the best reviews! Quiet and very cosy room and large bathroom. Lots of greens and lots of sofa to read a book or for conversation. Swimming pool is not big but good for a dip and relaxing. Good breakfast spread. 100m to Ping River and 15mins walk to nearby Night Bazaar or restaurant. Tucked in around local houses and small lanes leading to the property, still quite safe. Great place for couples and even for family retreat. Will recommend to those who want a little luxury in CM. Thank you to all the staff.

This hotel is located outside the city in a quiet, jungle-like setting with lovely air-conditioned, clean bungalows. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The food was very good and the breakfast buffet had a veriety of food to choose from. For the price, this was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at and would certainly stay here again. A free shuttle service was offered to and from the night bazaar for shopping. Internet service was offered at an extremely low price compared to other hotels.

At first I was hesitant to stay at Chu due to its location a distance away from old city and the mixed reviews on breakfast selection. I'm glad in the end I chosen Chu as my lodging in CM. Yes, it was a distance from old city but also closer to the warorot market and some cool cafe and restaurants. Anyway, the transport is not an issue in CM, just 5 minutes drive to old city. Breakfast options were good, you can choose like 4-5 main dishes and sides you have porridge, fruits, yoghurt with muesli, pastries and salad. This is definitely worth the money you paid. Oh please, don't expect 5 stars breakfast buffet when you are not paying 5 stars price. Only only one down side, there's lots of mosquito!! I basically had to open and close the door in few seconds each time with just a small opening, the Mosquitos were all lining up to attacking you! I noticed second floors have lesser mosquitos. Hope the Management could do something about it. Overall, I had a pleasant stay in Chu :)

nice staff； nice environment； nice everything. 4 nights in chiangmai here. especially the staff； not like other hotel staff who just know selling out something to you； in villa sanpakoi； all staff will treat you like their real family to think about for you； offer the best service for you. drive the free bike to ancient city， very close. I loved staying at De Wiang Kum Kam. While it was a little out of Chiang Mai center, I felt like I was getting an authentically Thai experience, and genuinely felt like I was a part of the owner's family. Nothing was too much trouble for him! I rented a scooter to get around, and the owner called the rental company and arranged for them to deliver a scooter to the hotel for me to rent -- 20 minutes later I was scooting around all the ruins and temples in the area. Was only a 10-minute ride into the walled city area. I would absolutely recommend this place again for someone who wants something with a "rural" feel just a short drive away from the buzzing restaurant, bar, & shopping scene in Chiang Mai

Pros: The building was attractive, especially the internal courtyard area. The family room that we stayed in was very large. It had a double and 2 single beds (not the bunk beds shown on the photo - that room was being refurbished). The pool was pleasant. Cons: The beds were very hard, the bath looked amazing but it would have taken too much water and time to fill so was not practical, the large windows looking into the courtyard let in noise - a big group stayed at the hotel when we did and we were disturbed by them shouting in the early evening and early morning. The breakfast room was not big enough for the number of people trying to eat. The staff did their very best to help us find a space at breakfast and were trying to restock the food, but it felt very crowded. Overall: The appearance of many parts of the hotel was lovely and the staff were very helpful, but we did not find it practical or comfortable enough for us.

Hotel is great high speed internet, swimming pool "salt water" fitness breakfast had a good assortment at the Buffett but you should get their early before 9 am the food might not be as hot, orange juice is pretty decent toast with the jam and butter is pretty nice also try the thai food and fresh eggs, many ppl say its far away from the main city, i can walk home drunk 2 KM, make sure you walk down the right road and you will be there faster night bazzar is also close, best to walk toward the night bazzar by going up the road by the hospital or you can take the longer way. thai friendly staff always welcoming very few back packers, so the rooms are very clean shower is nice lots of water pressure, flat screen tv lots of channels in english, a/c has remote also has a small couch the bed is comfortable daily cleaning and new towels everyday just press the button when your ready for cleaning by the door :) also free 2 bottles of water, also the owner was very kind in giving me a ride to the airport for 200 baht for 2 ppl after hours 10pm im very greatful for this and will always stay at this hotel in the future hotel is very quiet and relaxing.

It is a tourist hotel. 06:00 to 09:00 Guests up and about, plenty of slamming doors and loud hallway discussion. Can't really sleep. 09:00 Impact drill and chipping at the outside walls (tile removal?) begins. 12:00 Construction noise stops. 13:00 Construction noise resumes. 17:00 Construction noise stops for the day. 19:00 Live music from nearby restaurant begins. 19:00 Loud hallway conversations and door slamming begins. 23:00 - 24:00 music from nearby restaurant stops. 01:00 Loud hallway conversations tend to taper off most nights around this time.. 02:00 - 06:00 Usually possible to sleep during this period. The staff was very friendly. Careful with those steps down to the sidewalk -there are three sets. The one with evenly spaced steps and a handrail is the best. The worst is the one directly in front where the distance between steps varies greatly from step-to-step is the worst.. There is a 7-11 and small pharmacy only steps away from the hotel.

I would highly recommend to anyone to stay at Zz Guesthouse. Boyd was a fantastic host from the second we arrived until we left four days later. He was full of great advice and helped us to find a great cooking school, scooter rental, cheap food, fun activities, and helped us book our journey onto Pai. This guesthouse itself is quite lovely also. With excellent wifi it was easy to stay in touch with family at home and research anything we might need to know about Chiang Mai. The place was a short and safe walk to Loh Kroh Road and also to some delicous markets with great curry. All in all, a great place to stay!

I absolutely loved the room. It was super clean and smelled like perfume. It got the room with 3 single beds to share with friends. The bath was deep and so relaxing. The room was so comfortable and nice. I just wanted to rest and chill with my girlfriends and that’s what I got. The hotel is going through renovations ( they are building a pool that should be ready for news year, but it did t really affect our stay). The restaurant is a little small and limited so we ordered food in and had it in the room as we watched a movie. You can easily order food on “food on weeks ” through the Internet. The hotel served us a Thai style breakfast with Thai fruits.

* Not a hotel is like an apartment. The environment, according to some photos, is not in place. I went to the booking room 2 rooms to check in. I just had a room to talk to talk about. Very quiet atmosphere. No other guests upstairs. 3-4 off dark lights. Open air with water heater. Cut off 3-4 times. Must walk to open yourself. The journey is fairly deep. Out to the balcony, but dust catch the island. The door slides out to the balcony can not lock. Be careful of the U lock key card. But the condition of the room as a whole is still not new. Good mattress pillow. *
