this is my second time to stay in imm. i stayed here for 6 days this january. i love the great location and the clean room. that is why i chose to stay here again, especially when i traveled with my kids this time. the spacious and clean room allowed my kids to play around comfortably and happily. and what impressed me most is that they do listen to customers. why? when i stayed there this january, i couldn't get any hair dryer during my 6-day staying. i asked for one every morning and every evening, but the answer was "sorry" even though they promised to keep one for me. that actually irrated me a lot. so, when i came back from that trip, i wrote a review on the tripadvisor. they replied several days later that they would equip the hotel with more hair dryers. and this time when i checked in and asked for one hair dryer, they did provide me one without any hesitation and waiting. that is really nice and that is why i said they did listen to customers. in a word, if i have the third chance to visit chiang mia, if i would like to choose to stay in hotels, imm will still be one of my best choices.

Even though it is supposed to be a 4 star hotel, everything in this hotel was 5 stars! The staff was incredibly polite and helpful, the room was immaculately clean and well designed (we even got a free upgrade), a lovely pool area (though stairs are very slippery so be careful) and great breakfast (there were not so many choices but everything was of a very high quality, though there could be more choices for vegans). The hotel is just outsite the East gate and all sights are easy accessible. Close to the hotel there were some great massage salons (for cheaper but also very good version - "Oriental massage" and for more luxorious version - "Kiyora Spa"). Also, there were no problems for all tour organisers to find our hotel and pick us up. In overall, a fantastic experience!

I really enjoyed my 4 night stay at this hotel, the staff was great, the room was nice, big and clean. There is lots to see in Chiang Mai, and you can spend a day just walking around the old city (which is very close to the hotel) looking at wat (temple) after wat. I ordered room service once in the hotel and it was very good Thai food. Just down the road there is lots and lots of restaurants, massage etc etc. If you get a chance check out the Thai boxing one night just inside the old city, it looks a little sketchy but was good fun watching the fights. Overall if I go back to Chiang Mai I will be looking at this hotel first.

My husband and I stayed to Kate and Hasu for three nights. The warmth, thoughtfulness and humor of the staff made us want to extend our stay. It was the most convenient base to access central Chiang Mai. The included breakfast was delicious and substantial. The facilities were modern. The bed was comfortable. After missing the deadline to book a cooking tour we were informed about back in the states, the hotel made reservations for us to attend what we experienced as an even more authentic cooking school that came with a recipe book. Staff remembered our names and called us by our names starting at check-in and lasting through the end of our stay. We even received morning tutorials over breakfast on communicating in Thai. This was very helpful and I was able to share the one pager with a friend residing in Chiang Mai for a few months. I highly recommend this place and look forward to staying here during future trips...that's if they aren't fully booked at the time. 5 stars.

This hotel had the feel of a 5 star hotel, but a 3 star price- absolutely perfect. The room was big, light and airy, good flat screen TV- not a great range of English programs on but we came to see Chang Mai not hang out in the room. The hotel is located just outside of the Tapae Gate- so within walking distance of the night market, and on the door step for the sunday walking street. Many Wats were within a 5 minute walk. We made good use of the bookshops in the street behind the hotel. The hotel breakfast buffet had a good variety of choices and the egg chef happily made us delicious omlettes most mornings. I consider that this hotel offerred very good value for money.

Advantages: 1. Very near to Thapae Gate (3 minutes walking) and Sunday Night Market which is held every Sunday at Rachadamnoen Road. 2. Room size is acceptable, clean and free breakfast daily (Choose from 5 menus). Wifi signal is very strong. Friendly staffs. 3. Very near to McDonald's, Starbucks, Burger King, restaurants, bars and etc. 4. Walk-able distance to all temples such as Wat Chedi Luang Worawihan, Phra Singh Temple and also Warorot Market, Weekday Night Market. Disadvantages: 1. Air ventilation in the toilet is not good, I hope they will install an exhaust fan in the toilet in the future. 2. No lifts. You might need to reconsider if you have big luggage. Conclusion: 1. Value for money. 2. I will definitely come back to Thapae Happy House if I am visiting Chiang Mai.

Staff were very helpful. Recommended us places to eat, though may not be the best that suit our taste. Helped us booked taxi back to airport. Location was very good, walking distance to food street and market. Breakfast was fantastic. Set menu A, B, C, D and E accompanied with small buffet of greens, fruits, brownie, croissant, toast breads, fried you jia kuey, coffee, tea, soya milk, milk. Only minor issue was the walls were thin, not so sound proof.

Located opposite Wat Buparram and just a short walk to TaePaeGate. Easy to get to all the places of interest. WiFi available at lobby and restaurant which makes it easy to use the Grab App (Asia's version of Uber). The breakfast spread was quite disappointing and the constant banging of doors from other rooms might get on your nerves. But excellent lounge area just outside the room that overlooks the pool. Short walk to the night market (also where you can get Halal food; its near the mosque) but not that near to the Weekend Market.

...this hotel turned out to be quite a nice surprise!! My room was nice and spacious; comfortable and well-furnished... The bed was soft and big...and then I must have had one of the best views in Chiang Mai, as the room was overlooking the adjacent Wat Buppharam. The staff was friendly, attentive and yet discrete... And you can't beat the location...located in a quiet soi, off Tapae Road, in the shadow of Wat Buppharam; you have a lot of traveller-friendly restaurants and the first four or five temples, walking down towards Tapae Gate and the old city - which is just some 10 or 15 minutes walking away... ...walking in the opposite direction, you're even closer to the busy night-market... And walking right, you're minutes away from the busy night-life of thanon Loi Khro. The hotel is certainly recommended....value for money. I ended up staying one more night than planned, at the same rate, as I had paid on the inter-net....

I had a very pleasant stay here. I took a risk of trying a brand new hotel which had no earlier reviews and I'm very glad i did it. Location: Strategically located in between Thapae Gate (sunday market) & the weekly night market. It is easy to miss this hotel as it is slightly hidden & tucked away behind the building of a local bank. It was so easy for us, my elderly mum and I to walk around. Also close by to Wararot Market where the locals frequent. Amazing location. If u wish to escape to noise of night market but still stay close enough to walk..this is your hotel. The are many cafes, restaurants, tailors & gift shops nearby. Breakfast: Delicious breakfast. I have read other hotels offer very standard breakfast and usually buffet. Ours was served freshly cooked with perfect eggs and a variety of Asian as well as western meals. Served on timely manner next to a small open garden. Not to mention they have their own coffee machine with good quality of coffee. Facilities: The Wi-Fi speed was excellent. Did not experience any interruption. Rooms were very clean as everything is new. Nice functioning elevator and security system. It was exactly as in the photos. Suggestion: maybe could include toothbrush & paste in the toiletries. Staff: Very friendly, attentive and helpful staff. Felt almost like we were in a home stay. Even felt will miss them at the end of our stay :). The speak good English not to worry. They offered guidance around the town, even contacted a massage center for us and presented us with a parting gift on our last day of stay. They even paid attention to little details such as food we tend to avoid as my mum does not take beef N pork. Was very touched. They often ask how was our trip and even offered umbrella on rainy days. I would recommend this place to anyone with family or couple. Thank you and good luck to The Signature Hotel.

This hotel is at strategic location, walking distance to thapae gate, 7-eleven, massage shop. It is tourist shuttle bus pick up station. The hotel lobby is simple and nice, good place to hang up. Free coffee, tea and snack is provided at the lobby. Massage chair is available at lobby. Hotel staff are helpful and friendly. We are in group of 10 are very satisfied to this hotel and would recommend others to have the stay.

I’ve stayed at numerous higher-starred hotels around Thailand, especially Bangkok and this is by far the best value for money. Hotel design is absolutely beautiful, creative, and classy. Love the Chinese astrology themed rooms and my wife and I stayed in the goat/ram room. They put a lot of thought behind every little design aspect and you could spend hours walking around this hotel and admiring the artistry and design. Only minor gripe is the bathroom area is separated by a chainlink curtain so there’s no real privacy. Hotel is kept immaculate, staff is friendly and the food and drinks at the restaurant downstairs are reasonably priced and delicious. If I return to Chiang Mai, I would definitely come back to this hotel.

It's a great pick of a boutique hotel among hundreds of types of lodging available within similar price range. We stayed in a suite which was huge with suoer comfy bed, latex pillows, well appointed interiors and extensive bathroom featuring standalone bathtub, high pressure shower and double sink vanity, perfext for couples. We enjoyed the quieter side of the building though lacking any desirable view but still shielding us from the racket of traffic surrounding the Old Town circuit road which the hotel is conveniently located at. Sliding window or balcony door, if you can consider a balustrade a balcony, was an additional perk for us as we always crave for fresh air in hotel rooms. We picked this hotel purely based on location and availability with same day check-in so we found the 50% off deal on agoda highly attractive given the value for money. Staff was super friendly and helpful, speaks decent English, and the whole interaction is behind a coffee bar / restaurant counter which makes the check-in experience more laid back though no less efficient than in any other big brand five star hotel. Some Guests might find the lack of elevator missing, we didn't having only light carry ons. The safety deposit box is rather non intuitive so make sure to check with front desk staff how to operate it as there are no insteuctions left in the room at hand. You may opt to take it down with you to the reception area like we did, as there are no phones in the room to call which we found rather odd. Free breakfast choice is rather basic and portions are minimal ( my partner recieved a tiny serving of half a mango while I was already out and about, even though she precisely requested for a portion for 2 Guests) Overall the design is pleasing to the eye, feels modern, almost New Yorkish, and we loved the super high, lofty ceiling which gave the open-floor plan room an extra spacious dimension. My stay was excellent. Chiang Mai Thai House is a lovely place, comfortable fan rooms or air con on the ground floor with a little zen garden if you prefer. The rooms have cable TV, great movie channel if you want to relax after a hard day on a tour! The staff speak several languages & will go out of their way to help you. They have been working together for a long time as a team & this shows in their professional and efficient approach to making your stay a very pleasant one. Chiang Mai Thai House is centrally located to many attractions in Chiang Mai such as the Night Bazaar, the weekend market & only 10 minutes walk to the river. 3 minutes to Thapae Gate. THe swimming pool & restaurant are spotlessly clean. The restaurant has a selection of traditional Thai dishes along with some Western dishes which are very good. Chiang Mai Thai House can recommend and book many tours from their travel section. All of which are reasonably priced and competitively priced. Don't waste time looking elsewhere, they have it all! I will be back, many thanks.

I recently stayed at Hotel de Origin for 6 nights with my girlfriend, and we both loved it. The location is excellent, about a 1 minute walk from the old city's Thapae gate, right next to several restaurants, drug stores, clothing shops, and an interesting book store, not to mention the temple right next door. It's about a 10 minute walk to the night bazaar (great in the evenings). The lobby of the hotel is spotless with a nice mural design on the walls, and there is a lovely little garden courtyard right next to the front desk and the stairs leading up to the rooms. The room itself was nice. We had a twin room on the fourth floor, which was big enough for and the beds were nice and comfortable. Breakfast was included in our booking, and there are a few good options We went on a couple of tours that departed early, and the staff were kind enough to prepare sandwiches for us instead so we could eat and run. The staff were lovely and made everyday pleasant. A lovely little hotel!

I am so lucky I found this place! It is located a very short walk from the ThaPae Gate and with that the eastern end of the Sunday Walking Street, everything the Old City has to offer, an easy walk to the Night Bazaar, and countless restaurants, bars, and yet it is located in a very quiet Soi. It truly offers the best of both worlds. The hotel is, as the title says, delightful. The manager and staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable, good airconditioners, and there are really nice "home style" touches everywhere. Each of the three levels has a balcony or courtyard (at ground level) to sit and relax, read a book, or regroup for your next venture into this great city. I guess the one thing I did notice was a lack of power points, there are none in the bathroom, however there is a hairdryer in a make-up table in the room, and my shaver is cordless so no big issue for me. There is no lift but the stairs are really wide and accessible. I booked online and the rate was very good, for the price I paid I did not expect anything half this good, and I would definitely stay here again. My recommendation, if you are active and like to get out and explore, book 5 to 7 days here, the location caters to all, really, whether you want to hit the ground running or spend some time relaxing. I notice other reviewers have mentioned dogs and pigeons, yes, I heard them occassionally but to me it added to the homey feel of the place. It really is a home away from home. Book it and enjoy!

My wife brought her mother to Chiang Mai to enjoy the Loy Krathong festival there for the first time. We needed 2 rooms near the parade route. I was hesitant to book this hotel because of some of the reviews. In the end, the location and the price won out. I was not disappointed. The manager turned our two bookings for two rooms into one booking for a two-bedroom apartment. Each bedroom had its own facilities. And there was a kitchen / living room between the two bedrooms. Everything worked out very well. A note about the reviews. This is an older hotel, and many other reviews reflect this. The room(s) we stayed in were very spacious, especially for a hotel in a central location. And especially for the rates we paid. During the Loy Krathong festival, other hotels charged double or triple their normal rates. This older hotel stuck with older rates. It is with that perspective - that we got way more than we expected - that I rate this property so highly. And yes, I would gladly book this hotel again

P21 Chiang Mai Hotel deserve better rating than currently shown on any travel website. I decided to stay in this hotel due to its close proximity to the famous historical Tha Pae Gate, which is also one of the most important landmark during Songkran festival (be it as a water battle station or key religious procesion pathway). I managed to secure their last room through Agoda and this hotel is definitely beyond my expectation. The hotel is located on a soi (small road) parallel to the main road and stands behind slightly higher building facing Tha Pae Gate. This is probably the reason I hardly hear any loud sound from the ongoing street party. The reception is simple and they served us nice welcome drink and hot towel upon arrival. As I mentioned earlier I secured the last room for the night hence I get the furthermost room on the fourth floor. Unfortunately they don't have elevator and I believe this is probably the reason all their staff are lean if not having a slim body. By the way first floor is reception area and there are only 21 rooms spanning between second and forth floor. The hotel just open their door earlier this year with a practical modern design, nice in-room arrangement and they have all basic amneties including bed robe. The grey wall definitely make me feel relax. Air conditioning and water heater are equipped in every room so no more reason for uneven cooling in the middle of the night or burning feeling under the hot shower. On my last night I switched to the first room on the second floor (next to staircase) which is exactly the same as the one I stayed before except that you can hear people talking or accurately bitching while climbing the staircase. Breakfast is somewhat limited but nicely done with good choice of salad and both American or even Asian spread. The reception are manned by nice people speaks average English but always do what Thai people do best - smiling. Truly enjoy and I even promised them to return back on my next visit.

Location just next to road ,it's quite good and near to Sunday walking street .Free breakfast everyday,mango sticky rice are tasty.There is a souvenir designer shop at downstairs ,like the items selling over there .A lot of mosquitos in bathroom and open area. Locker has provided,but key lock need to prepare by ourself.Even though the room rate is little pricy compare to other hostels in CNX.Overall it's great to stayed in a awesome design hostel that come with good services.

To enjoy the night life here, stay here on Sunday night and join the Sunday Night Walk (SNW) where one experienced lots of people moving around, the traffic policemen directing traffic and tourists. The SNW is unique where local products from various communities mix with modern wears display colourfully. There are many stalls including food of various delicacies with plenty of customers around. A must for any visit to Chiang Mai. The only drawback is the door is not safe, not solid with no extra safety lock and not easy to close - need to bang hard to close. The 2 males staff are friendly, speak good English and good cook who prepare meals and breakfast also. Free computer with internet use which is excellence. For book lovers, there is a big book store across the lane which also sell used books. A money changer down the corner which gives good exchange price and opposite side, is the pharmacy. Budget airline, Airasia's office is nearby. The Hotel also involved in tour business, so one has no problem of getting tour packages. Just check with the hotel staff.
