"Very nice staff, helped me carry luggage upstairs, communicated with driver while the driver can’t understand English well. They provided various breakfast everyday plus it’s free. Good Location. Just close to Wat Phra Singh, beyond the Sunday Night Market so that you can get there easily but not too noisy. The restaurant next door is very cheap and yummy."

"Normally, you don't expect much from a hostel, this one definitely gave you some surprise. The breakfast is simple but decent, you can get 3 kinds of bread, one dish to share with everyone, usually chicken with veggies, tomato and salad, as well as eggs, which is perfectly boiled, I'm not a fun for boiled egg, but here they are delicious! The room are super clean, and with all the things you gonna need (for girls, can't say for the boys tho), hairdryer, Q-tip and towel (with a deposit). Location is superb, too! It took 10 mins walk to Wat Phra Singh and Wat Chiang Man respectively. We didn't book anything from the hostel, but the staff are very nice, always smile and greet their customers. I did try to book a shooting activity from the hostel, but apparently the pamphlet I found inside the hostel is not "permitted" by the hostel. Very confusing... All in all, it was a great stay."

"We had an amazing stay at this small and very comfortable guest house. The room was generous, comfortable, well appointed, and it was in a terrific spot in the old city right near the Sunday market, restaurants, and Temples (including the amazing Wat Chedi Luang). The highlight for us, however, was the incredibly helpful and friendly owner, who gave amazing tips and recommendations and even took us for a ride into a market to help us get a souvenir we were looking for at a great price. Highly recommended!"

"We booked the Roseate Hotel for 2 nights and upon arrival wanted to stay for our full 5 nights in Chiang Mai but they were booked a couple other nights. This hotel was our best experience and value for money by far. We got a room upgrade simply because they had it available. The only thing it didn't include which most other hotels did was breakfast. The staff were very friendly upon arrival, and we left our bags (without any issues) at the hotel for 2 days while we went trekking in the northern hills. The rooms were spacious, the hotel was very well maintained with clean rooms, the rooms had functioning air conditioning, and the rooms had safety boxes. It was beneficial being on the perimeter of the old city as all drivers had no issue accessing our hotel, and everything within the city limits is in walking distance. There were plenty of delicious restaurants nearby. The only area this hotel was a little ways from was the night bizarre on the east end of the city. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would recommend this place to anyone looking to spend ~$40 CND/ night. "

"Luckily i was here with my partner otherwise i would’ve had a different thought in this hostel. We absolutely loved the cooking class (Saturday was pad Thai night) in the front courtyard. It was delicious and so much fun to cook! The following morning they offered free yoga also in the courtyard (Mat provided). It was a great class & im so appreciative of the perks. In addition, breakfast was great & accommodating! For the negatives: People keep to themselves & i felt awkward talking, even in the common areas. After attempting to chit chat with fellow travelers, i got the weird vibes that people just wanted to be left alone. We got back to the hostel around 10:15pm & my entire room was asleep! The entire hostel pretty much goes to sleep at 10 & you’re left sitting in the common area reading a book. But i realized why everyone goes to sleep early... i was woken up (i was in room B) by the bass of the jazz music they blast in the common area.. AT 7am. No it’s not one of those you can sleep through, it’s booming through the walls. The beds are comfortable & i slept very well but you have to be kidding me. I woke up agitated & instead of staying another night, we decided to leave. Great for the free cooking & yoga class. Poorly rated for the lack of socializing & consideration."

Only 40 rooms but very nice. Our balcony overlooked swimming pool and we could see the centuries old wat chedi luang. Awesome view. Breakfast was nice though recommended to change the menu everyday or provide more options. Overall very pleasant stay."

"Hotel is strategically located and near to minimart, wat phra singh and even Sunday market. Maya mall is only some 10 mins ride. But the real gem are the staff. Very helpful and accommodating. They can help you book a tour and give a discount, help arrange for your laundry and even for giving useful tips and small conversations. There is a pool but i didn't try it. The only minus point is there's lots mosquitoes around, so if they can give a mosquito sprays be in the room, it will be perfect. With its price, location, and staff I'll would very likely to stay here again when i go to chiang mai."
