Hua Hin Beachfront hotels & places to stay

I booked a flight to Thailand as a birthday present for myself. A Thai friend had a female friend that likes to travel, and I made arrangements with her to spend a week, most of which was in Hua Hin. My friend suggested three hotels in Hua Hin (smart on his part as I can not blame him if the hotel is not as good as I think it should be) and I selected the Anantara. I am very happy that I did. The staff greeting with moist towel fresheners and snakes was a perfect way to start the week. We had an ocean front room (#106) and the view and yet privacy was amazing. The room was nicely sized and the shower/tub perfect. Flower petals adorned the king sized bed with "Happy Birthday" and this was a great mood setting nice touch. I had not told them that this trip was a birthday present and I did not inquire who or what had informed them. We tried to eat in all of the restaurants. Two were our favorites. One was on the main level where the entertainment is featured and the other was the waterfront tables. We recommend the "Aussie Steak". It was tender and tasteful and just what I expect from a steak house back home in California, USA. There is not much to do in Hua Hin and our week long visit was a little long for us. But, for a spot to just relax, this is top notch.

family vacation was our regular tradition during summer time. i chose dusit hua hin because i want to try different hotel after i had tried and got impressed with cape nidhra and intercontinental hua hin before. dusit was probably among the oldest hotel/resort in this area (other would be centara hua hin). hotel buildings were built in colonial style with thai style decoration. lobby was awesome, huge with nice interior. staffs were superb at their services. check-in/check-out was fast and flawless. front desk recognized my reserve promptly and direct me to the rooms. i could really not find any hotel in hua hin that can match dusit's service, even several other 5-stars hotels that i previously stayed. the breakfast here was perfect. so many varieties to choose and 'all' were delicious. i can say this hotel had the best breakfast in hua hin by far. few minus i can mention here, room decorations were quite old and dark. the amenities here could not match those of cape nidhra and intercontinental. tv was crt, not lcd/led and remote was difficult to use, sometimes did not respond at all. lighting switches were so complex and not centralized. i also think lighting was not adequate, esp at night. i don't like room to be too dark. however, if you consider services and food to be your priorities, those dusit provided trumped everything, ... hands down.

This resort is nice and the room is clean and spacious. Staff was helpful and friendly to book taxis for us. One bad things about this resort is a distance away from the hua Hin main city where all the food and some little shopping centre is located. The taxis fare at hua Hin is outrageous expensive with a straight road of 2-3km it charge around 300-600 baht per trip, the bigger the taxis the more you have to pay. If the distance is more than 3km they might charge you per private van/car, per trip, maximum up 700-1000baht.. There is not taxis company only private cars which out to skin tourists for getting around hua Hin. Recommend to rent car and drive around if you are visiting this lovely resort!

This is a fabulous hotel with everything you could ask for, on the beach and right in the centre of everything - and best yet, at a reasonable price! I was a little dubious about staying at a Hilton as their hotels around the world are very inconsistent in quality but the Hilton Hua Hin is a completely different and wonderful experience compared to any other I've seen anywhere. We would stay there again in a heartbeat if we're ever back in Hua Hin - it's great for kids and adults alike, there's something for everyone. The only downside is the over the top prices for internet, which is a little disappointing. I still fail to understand why so many smaller, cheaper and boutique hotels can offer free wifi, yet the more you pay for a hotel, the more you end up having to pay for internet on top of the room rate. Go figure. That aside, our experience at the Hilton was awesome and we're looking forward to going back there when our daughter is a little older and can enjoy all the kids activities on offer.

Marrakesh Hua Hin Resort & Spa is my number 1 list hotel in hua hin right now. The hotel is totally new with really cool decoration. Good for both honeymoon couple and family. Food is good and their staff are excellent. I love every single detail of this hotel. My family and I had a great time here. Also the atmosphere of the hotel at night is really romantic. And my child enjoy the beach and pool:) I will come back here again soon. Love it :)

Our family have been to Hua Hin at least twice a year in the last decade. So we have a lot of experience for the difference hotel in Hua Hin. This is the first time we ever come to Hua Hin Marriott Resort and Spa. I have to say that this is exceed our expectation. The hotel is very new with a fantastic swimming pool. I haven't seen the swimming pool this size (and a lot of complex design) inside the hotel before. The room is quite spacious. The breakfast is full of variety of selection from everywhere. And above all, the service is really fantastic from the front desk, security guard (especially the one at the sea gate), and room service. So far, we haven't tried lunch and dinner there yet, but we will definitely be back there to test it for sure.

I have enjoyed my stay in The Palayana. I have booked a villa with private pool & stayed with my husband and 14yo son. The villa is very clean & well maintained. the pool area is huge & well kept. Ideal for a small family like mine. Our villa is just 2-3mins away from the beach which is behind The Palayana. You can get to see the sunrise right at the beach area. The breakfast area also has a good view of the sunrise. Variety of the breakfast is just nice for me. They also served different live station during my 4 days stay. Beside the breakfast area is the resort open pool. they have a pool bar for you and it is beautiful during the night when you have music & stars as companions. There is a free shuttle which can bring you to Hua Hin Clock Tower, but you need to book an hour before departing time. The staff are very friendly & helpful. I have received lot of smiles during the stay. A good villa resort to choose if you want to relax. Will be back on my next trip to Hua Hin!

I have stayed at multiple hotels in Hua Hin over the years, as well as hotels elsewhere in Thailand and around the world. REST DETAIL IS AT THE TOP OF THE GAME! WHY ... 1) Staff - absolutely outstanding, proactive, kind & efficient 2) Attention to detail - staff anticipates needs/wants ... terrific attention to detail 3) Beautiful rooms - comfortable and clean with great balconies 4) Grounds - two great swimming pools 5) Scenery - right next to the ocean 6) Dining - first rate restaurant 7) Location - short 10 minute taxi ride to downtown Hua Hin 8) Peaceful - no traffic or big city noises, not a huge hotel so not crammed full of guests 9) Facilities - complimentary wireless internet service 10) Price - less expensive than other hotels in the area that are comparable

This is one of the best hotels in Hua Hin that we recommend. The room is very nice and clean, with extra large bathroom. Staffs are so friendly. Buffet line for breakfast is second to none. Situated in the perfect location, right in the center of Hua Hin town. But only one disappointment, the private pool is too small compared to other pools of other hotels in the same range. However, we will definitely come back again for our next trip to Hua Hin.

This hotel is located very close to the beach and is very quiet. However it is about 15 min from Hua Hin downtown by shuttle. We took mini bus from Bangkok Victory Monument and after arrived, we call the hotel and they send a free shuttle to the mini bus station to pick us up. The hotel provides free round-trip shuttle service 3 times a day to Hua Hin downtown. They also provide golf cart service to take you to the beach and to the main road (where you can walk to a local market and a shopping outlet). I have had some very interesting chicken skewers at the local market at the entrance of the main road. If you walk outside the entrance close to the reception, there is a small local store (for water and beer) and laundry service within 3 min walking distance. The hotel provide free Wi-Fi, although they have problem with their network settings and was not working properly at the time I stayed. I will explain my work around to this problem later in this review. Most of the staff does not speak English very well. But don't worry, they are super nice. They have most of the information I needed printed out in English. The hotel provide free parking. I would rent a car next time I stay here. Shuttles 3 times a day is not very convenient. I hope they have fixed the WiFi problem when you stay. If not, you can try the following. Their subnet is 192.168.20.x. However, their DHCP keep giving out IPs in the 192.168.1.x range, and there is no route between the two subnets. During my stay, the hotel is not crowded, so I randomly pick an IP from the 192.168.20.x subnet (x is any number between 5 to 254). Gateway and DNS should be 192.168.20.2. Then you hit http://192.168.20.2 to register your device. You will have to do this for every access point within the hotel, but you should keep your IP the same across all access points. If you have an IP conflict, pick a different number

I think this is the best resort in Hua hin since the rooms are very good designed ( I mean the best for materials, style of decoration, and partition in the room). The staffs are professional and well-trained. However, one small complaint is that the abf line is less variety (not delicious and tasteless) than expected and the area for abf is so small which is not enough for peak hour like 9 am. Apart from that, they are truly the best. The beach is clean, secure and nice. Well, I like the fat chickens that hotel decorates around the area which is so good to take photos. Again, I really like the room design and a speaker in the restroom is amazing.

We stayed 2 nights at the Grand Suite in the 3rd floor of the main building of this small resort hotel which came with 2 spacious bedrooms (one with bathtub and the other with shower), spacious living and dining rooms and a balcony with the view of this resort's impressive swimming pool and beach from the living room. Have to pass through the resort restaurant to get into the lift to bring us to the room which was no issue. Hua Hin's night market is reachable by walking no more than 15 minutes or by tuk-tuk at the cost of 100 THB for no more than 5 minutes. Try Chao Lay, Hua Hin's best recommended seafood restaurant near the night market area. Use Hua Hin Cab, the best taxi service in town to explore Hua Hin and Cha-Am for 10 hours a day at 2200 THB. A family mart is also very close to the resort for 3 minutes walking. Overall, it was indeed a very nice family friendly resort for leisure and holiday in Hua Hin.

I have just returned after two blissful days at the Devasom Resort in Hua Hin. This place is exquisite and I just didn't want to leave!!! What I loved about this place: 1. It is unique...from the hand-picked antique furnishings in the lobby, the original set of Encyclopedia Britannica from early 1950s in the gorgeous library, to the deliciously refreshing welcome drink, the Devasom is original. It is like being welcomed into someone's home in the 1920s in southern France! To top that off, the staff are wonderfully friendly and the owner (Ms Rasri) is such a delightful woman whose passion for this place is evident in the care she has taken in making it so nice. 2. The fact that it is not a sprawling mega-resort like many others in Hua Hin. It is a sanctuary....a place where you come to find peace and quiet while being surrounded by beauty both inside and outside the hotel room. A place you can be left alone to dwell in your thoughts but if you wanted some help, a staff will eagerly assist you. 3. The bathroom! I loved the bath products, the wooden floors, the beautiful bathtub and the fact that it could be a completely open bathroom if one wanted! So you could relax with a nice glass of Pinot and watch a movie from your bathtub! 4. Location was great. The resort is right on the beach. The beach spot in front of the resort is small but you can take a walk to surrounding beach areas quite easily. It is 10 km from the bustling town centre of Hua Hin...so it is close enough if you wanted to go into town but far enough to be away from the crowds. The hotel provides shuttle service three times a day until 5pm (last one) into town. If you wanted to go into town for dinner or the night market, they can also help you arrange a taxi (approx. 250 baht one way) 5. The infinity pool was divine....as was the sunset! All in all - a perfect, peaceful getaway

Like others, we enjoyed our stay in InterContinental Hua Hin Resort for 2 nights and this was our 1st time visiting Hua Hin. The resort has very nice swimming pool, Jacuzzi and beach. We only got to know that this resort has extended its hotel rooms next to the Bluport Shopping mall. The hotel breakfast was average to me as I can't find there is a section to serve vegetarian foods. The staffs are nice and we're offered a surprise with a birthday cake in the next day as it was my wife birthday. I must thank the InterContinental and we feels your warm hospitality as this was never a request/note when we decided to book this hotel to spend our time in Hua Hin. Another plus point is the resort will provide a free entrance to the 'Vana Nava Water Jungle' and my gal really enjoyed her time here.

This place makes you feel comfortable and relaxed. Not a huge place but the layout is spread out over quite a bit of peaceful, private property off of a busy road with a very nice and new mall across the street. The other side is of course directly on the beach which is outstanding. The staff is absolutely wonderful. It's full of mostly 10, 20, 30+ year employees that actually seem to love the place, from what I understand it's the first hotel in Hua Hin but kept tidy and clean by a helpful and friendly staff that it feels like I was visiting an older relative in their charming older house. The cook staff has been there forever and are masters at Thai dishes so the locals come by in the evening to enjoy great food by the beach.The price, location and staff makes this a wonderful place to stay.

If there was a choice of six-star to rate, I would give them six stars. We went to Hua Hin to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary. The staff welcomed us with a specially decorated room. We were very well attended by well-trained staff from the moment we stepped out of the car until we came back home. The breakfast was also very good. Before I left the hotel, I wrote down a little complaint about the mattress (too firm for me) and left the note in the room. I didn't think anyone will care. (Well, I did this to other hotels before and no one seems to care.) However, the staff e-mail me later saying they are sorry that I was upset and told me I can ask for a softer mattress next time I visit. Overall, I would say that although the building itself isn't as luxury as other famous 5-star hotels, its service is definitely at a luxury level.

The Veranda Lodge is a wonderful weekend get a way if you have a trip to Bangkok planned. It is a quick 2-3 hr drive . There are many hotels along the beach in Hua Hin, but the Veranda Lodge combines good modern rooms, good food, a quiet clean private beach with access to "city" services at the Village Market, Hua Hin's new super mall. We will definitely be returning to the Veranda Lodge. We have been traveling in Thailand for 15 year and know that it is a rare find to have all these services and conditions together in Thailand.

I have to say I choose the right hotel for my honeymoon, Sheraton has arranged for a free champagne with special decoration for my room. It's indeed very thoughtful from the management team, room is huge, quiet with pool access, also have unique design that feature a window that can see through the toilet. I have truly enjoy my honeymoon stay in this hotel, with great pool, marvelous room for the night and great breakfast in the morning. I must say, I'm already missing my stay in Sheraton Hua Hin and can't wait to plan another trip back to this hotel. Apart from the hotel itself, Hua Hin is a nice town which I think people ranging from hotel staff, sellers in night market, taxi drivers to policemen on duty are generally helpful and honest to deal with. I also have some of the good genuine massage in town and me and my wife have truly enjoy our stay in Hua Hin. My trip is basically 5 days Bangkok, 4 days Hua Hin. Bangkok has not been able to impress me nowadays compare to years back. Things are getting pricey and taxi no longer use meter to run. Hua Hin on the other side still preserve the nice virtues of Thailand that has in the past attracts so many tourist to this country.

we talked with a local guy during the trip to Hua Hin and he said this is the best hotel in Hua Hin. Indeed , it is. Very good and polite people. It is best for honeymood and fully relaxing holiday. Just spend half day in Monkey Moutains by taxi or by public bus ( green) and half of the time on white sandy beach which you could reach there with your pajama on and take a deep breath on the beachfront in the early morning with dawn light shinning into your eyes. !! Awesome!!!!

We stayed probably far longer than most people and really enjoyed it! Our beachfront bungalow was spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great, with fresh mangos from the tree and everything replenished as soon as it was looking low. The restaurant was often closed in the evening but there are some good places to eat along the beach in both directions. Staff were all cheerful and helpful, better trained than in many 5-star hotels! One night there was a party around the pool and we were offered one of the new loft rooms for the night, which was very kind of them. Have to say, the new rooms are extremely nice, too! It's a bit of a trek into Hua Hin but the hotel provides an efficient taxi service. We purposely chose the hotel for its location outside the centre so worked well for us as we wanted a more local feel. Thanks for a lovely, relaxing stay!

I had an amazing time at the Baby Grand Hua Hin Hotel. I looked for a while for a hotel in Hua Hin that had the waterfront location and view (At moms request). The hotel was very quiet and served a good breakfast on their beautiful patio next to the pool and ocean. What a view and setting. I would confirm with other reviewer's that this hotel is a little drive to the downtown area of Hua Hin. The location is difficult to get to but if you have your own car, this is the place to stay. The room was very clean and I liked the modern feel to all of the furniture and appliances. I would definitely come back and stay here at the Baby Grand Hua Hin Hotel. This hotel is smaller than the other hotels in the area and that is probably what added to the serenity and quiet location.

This is a great choice in Hua Hin if you want to be on the beach, in the town center and not pay very high prices. The rooms are newly furnished, quite spacious, nice TV, DVD etc. They are mostly set in villas in a garden running down to the beach front. There's a small but well-designed pool overlooking the beach with comfortable loungers and a bar / restaurant. Free coffee, tea, snacks and cheap beer during the afternoon is an excellent touch. We didn't try the main restaurant menu but the steak and seafood looked very reasonable. Breakfast was very good - buffet selection with fresh bread, omelets, cheese, pancakes, Thai rice and noodle dishes etc, etc. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The hotel is in the town center so bars, restaurants, night market etc are all just a short walk away. I'd definitely recommend this place as great value compared to some of the other similarly placed options in Hua Hin.

this is my 2nd stay @ the hen. it's a small 6 rooms hotels with interesting history behind it. each room has a different cute decor that i enjoy. so it's quiet & can make you feel like you are in your own private vacation house. their staffs are very nice, super polite. as we all know english is not their mother tounge but they tried their best to please & make our stay as pleasant as possible. the hotel price is reasonable. the location is a walking distance from downtown hua hin. 5-10 mins walk, i would say. the beach there is very quiet. i feel like i had the whole beach for myself, unlike other hotel i stayd that located south of downtown hua hin. there is no vendors hang out by the beach @ the hen try to sell you foods or merchandises. i think that i don't like is the bath tub they have there. their bathroom itself is very pretty & clean. they look like one of those chic bathrooms i have seen in the decor magazine. but it's not functional! how many time would one take a bath a day? there is no shower in a room. what they offer there are stand alone tubs with no shower/curtain. so if you want to take a shower, you have to sit in a tub & do so. hmm... maybe you can shower outside by the pool, i guess. i gave hotel condition/cleanliness a 4 because it's quite warn out compare to i first stays there 2 years ago. but!! it's still lovely & clean. overall i like the hotel & i'd recommend it to friends.

we left a dump of a hotel in chaing mai to come to hua hin again, this is our 3rd stay and we would never stay anywhere else in hua hin , staff so so nice they remembered my wife and were delighted to see us both , they arrange everything for us taxi , trips , what ever we need and we always feel like we are so welcomed , i can not say enought about this place, i travel so much and to enjoy this hotel which icon the top of my list of any hotel in the world should go someway of reassuring people about the quality of staff a and rooms, only downside if i had to say is the power in the shower is lacking , but rooms stunning , staff great , ... you will not be disappointed in your stay here .
