“New Year Stay ”
Addressed to the management of Ibis Style Fraser Business Kuala Lumpur to take a serious step to look into my report which I have actually experienced during New Year . Booked for 1 night as solo travel for a New Year staycation. In terms of value , it's pretty reasonable and considered good value for money and the location is perfect , 1 stop away from TRX via MRT and it's a quiet pleasant place and decent hotel amentities . Now for the surprises I faced during my stay : 1. Arrived at 2 pm at the Front Counter and the staff requested me to wait as rooms were not available and currently being cleaned . So waited patiently at the cosy chair at the lobby for about 30 mins . I noticed that a few checkin after me were all given rooms while I was made to wait . Went over to the receptionist and demanded that a room is given . Only with a stern tone, i was allocated a room at Room # 1147 . Staff needs to be alert , though it wasn't many people checkin. Room is ok and meets to expectation. 2. Surprise No. 2 - Rested on the bed for about 30 mins and suddenly , sound of door unlocking via electronic keys. Shocked when a man popped his head into my room and I was completely stunned . A least I was still in pants, couldnt imagine if I was in my undies. Security has been breached for my uninteruppted stay as I found out that was another duplicate checkin from a foreign tourist. Same room, same security keys . what a blunder !! 3. Screw up no. 3 - Came back to the Ibis hotel at 1.45 am after new Year's celebration at TRX . Tired and mentally exhausted and hardly could walk . Took the lift up to 11th floor and relieved to be at the door of my room - Room cannot be accessed by the Security key even tried many times and i was boiling inside . I was very sure I got the correct Room # 1147 . I had to drag my feet down to reception to reset the system . Looks to me the reception wasn't even apologetic nor shown any compassion towards the trouble caused . The management needs to do some recalibration here and improve any wow factor if there is . If my room can be accessed by another uninvited person, then I felt my privacy has been invaded and safety cannot be compromised !
