I went on a prenatal trip and visited the Phu Quoc Intercontinental.”
I have read many reviews on blogs and even joined the Pukuko Cafe, but this accommodation was just perfect for me. First of all, the staff were very friendly and quick to bring things like water and towels when requested. Before entering the accommodation, I bought 4kg of mangoes and when I asked for a knife for eating, they immediately brought one and even asked what I needed it for. The swimming pool is spacious and nice. The water depth is the same at 1.2m and the bungalows and sun loungers are placed very comfortably. When you take a seat, the staff bring all the towels, so there's no need to bring them from your room. The meals at the restaurant were also very satisfying. Especially the seafood. It's great to watch the sunset, but having a meal while looking at the sea during lunchtime is also fantastic. Be sure to try the Pad Thai and fried shrimp. I went on a prenatal trip, so I didn't do any sightseeing outside the hotel. Sometimes I walked on the beach or went swimming. On the first day of my trip, I got off the plane and got a massage outside, but I had back pain, so I went to the Hanspa inside the hotel and got healed. It was so relaxing and nice to have a spa in a separate building, and they even recommended organic oil instead of fragrant oil for pregnant women. It's only been a day since I came back from my trip, but I already miss it so much. I've been to many places in Vietnam, but this was my first time in Pukuko and the hotel was just amazing.

"Great service and excellent staff attitude"”
My friend and I had a wonderful time at the InterContinental hotel. Although check-in time was at 3 pm, we arrived at 1 pm and were able to check-in right away. Despite the rainy weather during most of our stay, we were able to enjoy many activities offered by the hotel such as painting classes, yoga, kickboxing, cooking, cycling, and most of them were free. I had many interesting experiences. The staff was extremely professional, always smiling and providing the best quality service. I was particularly impressed by the chef at the Ombra poolside restaurant who greeted us at our table and offered us a plate of fruit. The pasta and pizza were especially delicious and reasonably priced. The hotel's swimming pool and gym were also very nice. Although breakfast did not have a wide variety of dishes, it was very delicious. I will definitely recommend the InterContinental to my friends and will come back here. We found the Intercontinental Phu Quoc to have been a wonderful stay. We ate mostly at the Intercon and found the food and drinks to be good. Lava restaurant is a good place for steak and seafood. We had in room dining most nights as our daughter was not feeling well and a had a very high fever. Intercon staff helped to arrange for a Doctor to visit. The Doctor is very good and got her the medication required. You can stay safely and comfortably at the Intercon, even if you are not well, they will help to arrange for a Doctor or whatever you may require. The staff is the best, Mr Anh who is the Rec supervisor was brilliant and ensuring that we had whatever info or assistance.

This is a great resort. The rooms are big and cozy and well-maintained. The buffet breakfast is one of the biggest I've experienced in my world travels and has great choices of food both Asian and Western. The resort grounds are beautiful and kept very clean. The pools are big and fun. The kids pool with the water slide kept my daughter entertained for hours. She didn't even want to go to the big water park since she had the kids pool area at the resort! The beach is very scenic and the staff do well to keep it clean. Three issues: there isn't much to do around the resort yet, but it looks like a complex with the potential for shops, bars, and restaurants is being built next to it; the bed could be a bit softer (needs a pillow top, considering the cost of the place), and it needs a sauna and steam room in the gym area (being an expensive 5-star resort, not sure why they didn't build a sauna/steam room as this should be standard in a place like this). Overall, it was a great stay. Would love to come back.
