    “Clean accommodation”

We stayed for two nights and three days from March 30 to April 1 with three family members. The location was close to Kamogawa and had a nearby bus stop, making access easy. Although we stayed without meals, the Japanese-style room was spacious enough for the three of us to sleep comfortably. It had an old-fashioned feel but was very clean, with thorough housekeeping, and the staff were very accommodating. I definitely want to stay here again next time.

“I was able to feel relaxed in the large room.”

I made a reservation for a one-night, two-day stay without meals, but after the reservation, I requested breakfast, and they kindly accommodated me. The room, large public bath, and lobby were all well-prepared, and I was able to spend my time comfortably. I also thought it was nice to be able to choose and wear a yukata, which feels very Kyoto-like. They responded with a smile even when my child spoke to them. If the opportunity arises, I would like to stay again. Thank you for your hospitality.

    Japanese-Style Room - Annex
Stayed 3 nights in March 2023

“Great way to experience a traditional Japanese hotel in Kyoto”

We just left this inn and really had a wonderful stay. We were in the annex with a very large tatami room complete with enclosed patio space. It was plenty big for 4 futons as well as the tatami dining table and chairs. Bathroom was a wet room with tub and a separate toilet space. Our room had a beautiful view of the mountains. Bedroom came with kettle and refrigerator, as well as extra futons which I used to layer and Yakata for the whole family to use. There is a traditional onsen for guest use as well. The location is fantastic. Very central. 3-5 minutes from a few bus stops and within 10 min of two railway stations. There are restaurants nearby including an amazing ramen place on the Main Street to the west. It’s not in the chaos, either, so perfect to base all of your touring without being right in the insanity. It was very safe and quiet, and the area was mixed residential and business. We were there with a 6 and 8 year old boy, and would absolutely stay again. Futons are an experience if you aren’t used to them. I have an injured spine, so I’m very picky about sleep spots. It was firmer than I’m used to for sure, but my back never hurt when I got up - much to my surprise. 😂 Water in the tub gets VERY hot, so be mindful depending on what you’re used to. We got it to the right temp, but don’t put a kiddo in without testing it. The hotel common areas are beautiful and there’s a little enclosed garden space that was nice to glance at. Tea was in the room. Coffee was in the lobby. They stored our luggage on the day prior to departure. All in all, a great stay! I highly recommend.

    “No problem.”

It has a somewhat retro feel, but I was able to spend time comfortably without any issues. The staff members were also very nice. However, there were few parking spaces and the partner lots were full, so I was surprised to have to search for parking on my own. It would be appreciated if at least a map of the nearby area could be marked and provided as a copy.

    “A place without regrets.”

The accommodation was really spacious and clean, which was great. The staff was also very friendly and spoke English well, so there were no communication issues! It is a bit far from the city center, but the bus stop to Kyoto attractions was close, making it easy to get around. The breakfast was satisfying, so if I visit Kyoto again, I think I will come back to this accommodation.
