“Very good”
The hotel is in a great location, just a 5-minute walk to the Miaokou Market and a number of cafes and food options around the corner. It’s also walkable from Keelung Station (about 10-15 minutes), and there’s a bus stop right in front of the hotel with two buses that go to the station, which is really convenient. Another plus is that it’s only a 5-minute walk to a bus stop (in front of Starbucks) where you can catch a public bus to Jiufen. Ask the front desk for an easiest route, because Google Maps showed me a bus stop that’s a bit further away. I got a small room since I was traveling solo. Even though it has a window, I wasn’t able to draw the curtains much since the building next door is really close. Mould is visible on the walls, which is likely due to the constant wet weather. I opened the window slightly for ventilation, but some rainwater seeped in through cracks on the wall. Overall, it’s generally clean, well-located and good enough for a short stay, but I’m not sure I’d stay here again due to the room conditions.
