Best Hotel in Chiang Mai”
This hotel was unbelievable. My husband and I came here for Songkran 2015 and could not believe our luck in choosing this hotel. It is so clean, modern, trendy, adorable. The best were the staff - they are so kind and friendly, and they wear the cutest matching outfits. The hotel is very boutique and trendy. The food was wonderful. The atmosphere was amazing. The location was so amazing too - walking distance to everything, and if not a quick tuk-tuk. I can't say enough about this hotel - we will definitely return to Chiang Mai, and definitely stay at this hotel. Thank you to everyone at Kampaeng Ngam for making our stay so amazing!!!!

We just loved out 4 night stay at Kampaeng Ngam. It is a perfect location. Near the night bazaar and 10mins from old city. On a nice quiet street. What really makes it though is he staff. Front desk are all extremely friendly and speak perfect English. Also, the rooms look exactly as depicted in the pictures. Very nice and great value for the price. Would definitely stay again

Great value! Excellent location! Friendly staff! ”
Kampaeng Ngam Hotel was great! Conveniently located and about a ten minute walk to the Sunday Market and the other night markets during the week. The staff was incredibly friendly and courteous. They held my suitcase for a few days while I left town. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thank you again!

My new go-to hotel in Chiang Mai”
I really liked this hotel and will definitely go back. The rooms are really nice and good size too. The bed was comfy. The front of the hotel has a cute little bar with decent drink prices. Breakfast was good. Pool is small but looked beautiful. It's on a quieter street but just a few minutes walk to the Night Bazaar and the Sunday Night Walking Street. My only complaint is that when I asked the staff to book us a taxi to the airport, the best she could offer was a car for 600 baht! I go to Chiang Mai a lot and know that that is a ridiculous price. She wouldn't call any other taxis/car services. We ended up just flagging down a songtheaw on the street for 200 baht - it was 4am.

Excellent”
A little quiet hotel at one of the little roads but near enough to walk to the 7-11 and night market. Staff were really friendly and helpful - we asked for extra pillows and were told that guests have to pay extra for the pillows. I think because our stay was almost a week long, one of the staff let us have two complimentary pillows eventually. Helps a lot for someone that had an ATV accident in Chiang Mai and needed to sleep comfortably to recuperate. Did not buy hotel breakfast when buying room nights but right outside the hotel, along the streets are little local stalls and restaurants so need not worry about food. Rooms and bathrooms are quite big, good for families travelling with young children. Pool is small but very clean.

Wonderful & Amazing Hotel”
I love this hotel so much! Entering the room, I found a welcoming letter with my name on it! The staff were extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. Was served with welcoming drinks. A nice Roselle Juice. The hotel it’s on a quiet road but only two minutes from the busy main streets. It's quiet and away from the crazy bars so you can actually get a good sleep. Everything was in walking distance so it was great that I don’t have to pay extra for the transport. Room was well set out. Air-con and WiFi were excellent and had a comfortable bed. Very clean bathroom and room. Makes it feel really cozy and relax. My room was provided with torch light and the electric mosquito repellent. I would recommend this place to anyone, and would stay again if i ever went back to Chiang Mai.

Good ”
Pro: Walk distence to the old city, the river and night bazaar. Room is clean , comfortable and the atmosphere is nice. The price is acceptable. Con: Taxi drivers need to call the hotel first to locate it. The hotel missed one breakfast for us. Can hear other visitors clearly in the morning.

great hidden gem”
otherwise than its location being tucked along a less travelled road ( still main road of a small one), and some 10 minutes walk to the famous night bazaar, this small hotel is a relatively new and beautifully wooden structured gem. The rooms are wonderfully clean, and well spaced. To boot, you get beds with posts,so somewhat romantic for couples especially. Despite its location, you can get a couple of good massage outlets within a few doors away. And to the entrance just before the lobby, there is a nice open space , with even a bar to while away if you don't feel like going out. Best of all I say is the warm and helpful reception staff. Ms Kate, in particular, is most charming and helpful. The other male reception staff, too, are equally cheerful. And this includes a male staff at the bar,who also happily doubles as porter. ( sorry didn't get all their names) Really, they are a bunch of service orientated fellows ( hope Management is well aware and rewarding towards them ). Will return if I am back to Chiangmai.

A great spot!”
We were here over the New Year and it was perfect! The price is great and the common areas are really nice. The pool is small but was perfect for us to sit by each evening. The rooms are very basic. We had 2 rooms. One bed was soft and nice and the other was hard, so it depends room by room. This is perfect walking to the old town or to the Night Bazaar. Many restaurants in walking distance. Breakfast is really basic but was just fine for us. Easy to and from the airport....about 15 minutes.

Perfect little place”
I stayed here recently for 5 nights and it was everything that you need in a hotel. The pool was lovely and actually cold! A lot of pools in Thailand are just like bath water and this place is great. The hotel can book and arrange all tours and confirm other tours. Always met with a smile every time. The breakfasts are a set menu, however there is ample choice for what you need. Bathroom was clean, the shower is next to the toilet so there is water in that area when not showering. Beds were a little hard but pillows fantastic and after a long day of temple visits it's just what you need. As a solo traveller I felt very safe in the area. About 7mins walk to the old town, another 10 or so minutes walk takes you to the first of the main temples in the old city. 5 mins walk in the other direction of the hotel is atms, seven eleven and the night bazar markets. Everything is in easy reach. Printing boarding passes was very easy as well through reception. Would stay here again in Chiang Mai and would recommend to anyone visiting the town.

Nice quiet hotel close to a busy district”
It was good, room was clean, staffs are very friendly. The location is not so bad, talking about walking distance to the Night Bazaar (while you do not have to stay IN the night bazaar area). The swimming pool looks good and clean but I didnt try it since I saw one of the Chinese looking guests washed his feet in it (he didnt go to swim, just stopped by and clean his feet in it) - Didnt have much time to enjoy the swimming pool anyway. Two critics though, first, the breakfast worth THB150 wasnt good and second, since I'm a business traveller, transportation is a big deal - the hotel couldnt call any good taxi for me (well, she could but it's more expensive and trust me I've been traveling to CNX every month, she can do better than that) so I ended up waiving for tuk tuk right in front of the hotel and no one to help.

we are so sorry about the inconvenience. We have noted your feedback and we are planning on how to improve our service and facility.
Good value and location”
We had no complaints at all except for the hard matrasses during our first 3 day stay. Our second 3 day stay we got another room, same same but different because the marrasses were OK now. The location is just perfect. If you do not want to walk you just take a tuktuk and for about 100bath you are in the old town. The night bazar is just around the corner of the main street so a 5 minute walk only. In the hotel you can arrange several excursions if you like to. We booked a perfect cooking course there. On Kampaeng road just a few houses right of the hotel we arranged a nice and well organised mountain trekking. Also about 15 min walk to the Ping river where the popular Riverside restaurant is located.

Average price with good service ”
Overall it is a pleasant stay. Staff are friendly and helpful. Location is located near night bazaar. It is on more a quiet street compared to the rest of the hotels around the area. Room is clean. Pool is clean. Breakfast can be improved with more varieties. We stayed there for 4 nights, on the last day we walk out the street and try some other breakfast.
