My buddy and I were doing a cycling trip from Taipei to Yilan and returning the next day. We needed a safe place to store our bikes (they locked them up in their store room for us foc), cold as Pluto air-conditioning (18 oC within the hour and quiet too), simple amentities and super comfortable twin beds and pillows (10/10 there) with a hassle and noise free environment. My buddy kept saying I struck gold with this online choice. Sure, the hotel is not young and spectacular, but it was clean, no musty or cigarette smells, providing good value and a reliable stay. We didn't eat there, as we departed 6am, but the dining room they were preparing as we filled out water bottles from their ample water filter machine looked pretty good. We will 100% stay at Kavalan on our next cycling adventure in Luodong, Yilan.
