"It is a very nice beach with big trees behind and great surrounding. Unfortunately we could do only a little swimming, kayaking, or snorkeling because of wind and waves; this may happen. Meals are buffet style, quality is good enough. Getting there is expensive! Best is to stay a few days at Koh Libong and arrange the boat from there. At Hat Yao it will cost 3000 Baht (though on a board 2800 are written), from Libong you get it for 2000 or less. Hat Samran is mentioned at the resorts homepage, but no Thai seemed to know it on the islands near Laoliang. You still can go back via Hat Samran from Laoliang th Trang for 800 Baht per person."
