“Clean room with good amenities”
Clean room, good aircon, hot shower. Very comfortable bed with clean linens, cold fridge and TV console. Room size is ok though short of a small desk and chair - there is a stool. Working TV with only few (5 or 6) local digital channels; not smart TV for online streaming. Receptionist over emphasized on not to split door key from access card on key ring during check in otherwise penalty applies (forgot how much, 500thb or 1000thb), presumably as the access card is needed to keep electricity including aircon on when guest is not in the room. Other reasonable penalties listed on check in form with 300thb refundable deposit. The favourable guest house amenities/ facilities are shared coin laundry by load - 30 thb washer, 50 thb dryer (around an hour run) and 10thb detergent - and kitchen with complimentary beverages, hot/drinking water, tasty cookies and small cakes (in plastic pack) and instant noodles with dining tables & chairs - only for consumption in kitchen and not to be taken out of hotel (displayed only in Chinese). Also wooden tables and chairs at the entrance. There is a male staff on duty at night with main entrance glass sliding door closed; think this is the only guest house / apartment with a duty staff at night as most are just self check in/out with no staff after office hours. The night duty man is also very courteous and speaks English well. Convenient location to Lanna Square eateries and Sunday night market from Tae Pae Gate. There is also an economical barber (for man/woman) down the same alley.
