how to feel humiliated”

Very bad experience because of the reception. The room is clean and good (except that you can hear all the cars going by but that didn’t bother me). On the other hand a very cold welcome, the lady at the reception who doesn’t speak English at all and who does not even try to understand what you want to ask. And most of all, I wanted to ask questions about the breakfast and the check-out for the next day, the lady did not want to open her door, and told me to go away…. I stayed shocked in front of the door!!

I wouldn’t recommend it for a light sleeper or/and someone who’s looking for a quiet place to stay at (can hear cars and motorbikes driving day time and night time + dogs barking). Otherwise, we had a good stay. The room gets quiet hot though, so I’d recommend you to leave the AC on. You can rent a motorbike, do your laundry (the lady offered to do it for us. She even hung the clothes up!) and have breakfast. They can’t speak English very well, but you can still understand each other. The location is great; close to a very nice restaurant called poo (which means crab in Thai) and to the night market which takes place every Saturday from 3pm (would definitely recommend you to go, it’s amazing).
