[Location] There are convenient dining options, convenience stores, and supermarkets where you can buy souvenirs within walking distance. Even without a rental car, the airport shuttle bus, which operates in coordination with flight arrivals and departures, stops in front of the hotel, so traveling to and from the airport shouldn't be a problem. (However, if you wish to freely move around the island, a rental car is recommended.) In front of the hotel, there is a beach, making it a perfect location for just relaxing. During the winter off-peak season, there are fewer people and the sunlight is weaker, so you can enjoy the sandy beach at a leisurely pace. [Room] It's an established hotel on the island, but the rooms have been renovated and are spacious. Everything you need is provided, so there's no inconvenience. Personally, I found the nightwear easy to wear and liked it. [Recommended Time] If swimming in the ocean is your main focus, summer is the best time. However, if you want to escape the daily hustle and bustle and just take it easy, visiting during times other than summer is also recommended. Compared to Miyako and Yaeyama Islands, this place feels less like a tourist spot, and there are fewer inbound visitors, allowing for a peaceful experience.
This time, all the staff members were Japanese. While the overseas staff I had previously been taken care of were also wonderful, I was very comforted by the polite and warm expressions and hospitality of the Japanese staff. Thank you very much for providing such a comfortable stay. However, when departing from Kumejima Airport on the first morning flight, it would be nice if breakfast could be served earlier at 6:30 instead of the current 7:00, so we could enjoy the delicious morning meal without being rushed.
We enjoyed our stay here so much that we extended our stay. The beach is beautiful and we did some snorkeling steps away from the hotel. The staff are all very friendly and the room is great. The beds are a bit hard, but when I asked, I was given extra pillows. The breakfast is absolutely wonderful, with so many choices and variety. The Island is completely charming and we have had a great time exploring on our bicycles. The staff were also very kind and let us store our bicycles on the balcony of our room. Just wonderful!
The hotel is beachfront and has very nice views on sunny days. Actually, it's not good for swimming because the beaches have white sands with many corals and shells along the shoreline...you need sandals if you want to go into the sea. When the tide goes out, the beaches are really fun as we can walk far and see shrimps, crabs, and fish 🐟. The colors of the water are beautiful and very clear 👌, even just staying at the beachside is very enjoyable. Around this hotel, there are many restaurants, so even if you don't plan to dine at the hotel, you can enjoy some local foods. If you need a bicycle, they have rentals available—1 hour is free for customers. If you need a supermarket, you can bike there in 5 to 7 minutes. I rented a bicycle for 1 day and rode around; it wasn't difficult and I enjoyed it a lot. Also, the breakfast is good because there is bread, fruits, salad, and a Japanese style breakfast, which is also good. There is no cafe around the hotel, and there's no chance to have bread without a convenience store. The staff is really nice and kind. There are also some English speakers. I highly recommend staying at this hotel for sure.

I stayed for 6 nights from July 6th to 12th. The location is amazing, right in front of the beach! I could stare at it for a long time. Also, the daily changing egg dishes at the breakfast buffet were incredibly delicious!! It seems to rotate every three days, and I went through it twice. There were three types: sea grapes and mozuku seaweed omelet, small eggs benedict, and omelet with cheese sauce. Refills were allowed for all of them. Other dishes were also tasty! Every single dish was just delicious!!! The room is old, but it was well cleaned, and I spoke with the staff who were very attentive, so there were no issues. The bathroom in the room had a slight sewer smell... Also, the detached bath was great too! The staff were somewhat busy, so I couldn't talk much, but their service was polite! There were no bugs in the room, and I think there were few outside (compared to Miyako Island, Ishigaki Island, and the western coast of the main island). So, it was a hotel I would like to return to! Thank you to the staff for a comfortable trip!
