Cash payments are not accepted for same day bookings. Credit card only payments for same day bookings. If you wish for us to use that pre-authorisation towards payment, please request this on check-in and you must present the same card at Reception and we will be happy to facilitate. You may of course pay by an alternative method on arrival and the pre-authorisation hold will release within 30 days depending on the policy of your bank. The exact period varies between banks. Hotel definitely showed its age and was not a fan of the bed but staff were very friendly, breakfast was good and it represented good value for this city.

The hotel ignored my request to put my company name on the receipt. Before checking in, I had send the request and the hotel people said they they could only manage it on departure. They issued an invoice with wrong content and amount and ignore my follow up email. The only reason I requested to put certain information was because we need to claim for business trip as the company request. If we were not on business trip, we wouldn’t care about the receipt.

Highly recommended if you are in Cork. The friendly crew of Lancaster will make you feel at home. The rooms are spacious and with beautiful views from the window. They have the best croissant I ever tasted! Everything interesting is walking distance especially the English Market and St. FinBarre Cathedral. :)

Ok for one or two nights”
Very mid range hotel. We stayed their twice and second time we got a bigger room which was better. Quite noisy on first night as now sound proofing. Fine for just a quick stay as stopover in cork.

A hotel with great service”
I enjoy our stay at this hotel, although the location is not at the heart of downtown, but we enjoy our walk; there are restaurants nearby and churches surrounding the area. The things that I really like about this hotel are the great service - everybody is nice and the cleanliness of our room and the hotel itself - the lounge and the dining area.

Pleasant stay in Cork”
Stayed overnight here on a Sunday. Not much was open in Cork when we arrived (about 7pm). A few nice restaurants and the city center is maybe a 5 minute walk. Free parking onsite if you are travelling by car from memory. The hotel decor was nice and the room was reasonably comfortable. I would recommend staying here.

Great hotel, spacious and clean”
the lancaster lodge is a great hotel and a very good location in cork. its just a few minutes from the city centre with all shops and restaurants. the room is very clean and spacious. the bath has a bathtube and is big and nice. they provide free coffee and tea and even have a hot press in the room. on the floor is a vending machine with drinks, sweets and chocolate. the staff is very professional and friendly. we would stay again.

I recently had an experience at Lancaster Lodge and unfortunately, I was left feeling very dissatisfied and unhappy with the treatment I received from the staff. It is disappointing to have to leave a negative review, but I believe it is important to share my honest feedback to help improve their service. From the moment I entered the establishment, I noticed a lack of attentiveness and professionalism from the staff. Despite their pleasant demeanor, they seemed disinterested in providing quality service. Their behavior left me feeling uncared for and unwelcome. Furthermore, when I sought assistance and guidance from the staff members, they exhibited a dismissive attitude. Their lack of patience made it apparent that they were not interested in addressing my concerns or helping me find a suitable solution. It was disheartening to be treated with such indifference, especially when I was genuinely seeking assistance. Moreover, during my interaction with the staff, I noticed the absence of basic etiquettes such as listening attentively, maintaining eye contact, and displaying empathy. These qualities are essential in fostering a positive environment and establishing a strong rapport between customers and service providers. In any establishment, regardless of the industry, I believe that every customer deserves to be treated with respect and consideration. Unfortunately, this was not the case during my visit, and it greatly impacted my overall experience.
