Very friendly service and close to the beach”
First, book your own transfers to the resort beforehand. I emailed Pearl Lanta to arrange our transfer and they charged 2,500 Baht. I said I thought this was expensive and the response was that it was the standard rate. However, upon arrival we found that you can book an air-conditioned van for 300 Baht/person or take a ferry for about the same to Krabi airport. Pearl Lanta even booked the van for us on the way back. I would have appreciated being informed of this service when I initially inquired. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay at Lanta Pearl. The family that runs this place is so nice! The room itself is very basic and small. We didn't have any room to unpack our things but it was okay. The fan rooms are hot at night so if your budget affords it, get the air conditioned rooms. This place is for budget travellers. If you are picky then maybe it's not for you. Bring lots of bug spray. Wifi in the lobby not the rooms, which was fine. The resort books excursions for you; stay away from Garden Hill! You spend most of your time on the speed boat and don't see much. They drop you off to snorkel for a half hour at a couple different sites and there is nothing to see. The coral is all dead and there are not many fish. We found one of the crews to be very unprofessional (waited in the boat for almost an hour waiting for one of the tour guides). I recommend booking a ferry to where you want to go. Koh Phi Phi was a disaster. The entire place reeks like garbage (which is everywhere and pollution from dozens of boats parked in the water - no beach and you can't swim because of the pollution) and they rebuilt it after the tsunami with left-over building materials so it looks old and decrepit. Koh Lanta is much better, although still very poor. The beach by Pearl Lanta is nice and long, but don't expect fine sand. The best food we've had was right on the beach at the Palm Beach Resort. From Pearl Lanta, head to the beach and it is the first restaurant on the righ

Exactly What We Needed: Quiet/Laidback/Efficient”
in many ways, lanta pearl beach resort is like the island of koh lanta itself - unpretentious, charming, laidback, with residents that are imbued with an innate friendliness that is gentle and never overbearing. we stayed in the fan bungalow and while it was exactly what we expected, i would probably opt for an air-conditioned unit next time, and the heat could get a little much in the day (though you prob wouldn't spend much time in it during the day!). we got mozzie coils and they did the job as some of the mosquitoe netting had holes in them. but the bathroom was such a nice surprise, basic, yes, but clean and well maintained. the water pressure from the shower was a tad low, but asking for a bucket and pail from the resort sorted us out easily. loved the wooden shacks in the hotel and anything you needed: tours to the other islands, transport arrangements were taken care of by the resort. with a predominantly muslim population, my only gripe about the resort restaurant would be the lack of pork, or more specifically, bacon! but other eateries a short walk away takes care of that too. must have at lanta pearl: mieng kam. a thai staple appetizer that involves putting bits of dried shrimp, ginger, toasted coconut, bird's eye chillis, onions on a leaf and smothering it with plum sauce. thai-cat down the beach had the pre-requisite coconut and good food, but it was a bit overpriced, although the sea view and romantic ambience were the perks. we loved mr. green down the main road. also the small roadside stalls had a limited menu but awesome food! i'd come back in a heartbeat! :)

Cute Bungalows w/ GREAT Service”
We stayed at Lanta Pearl in late December over the Christmas holiday. We had a wonderful stay and loved the staff and property. Pros -very friendly staff that always went out of their way to help and make you feel welcomed -Easy to book activities and travel with hotel staff -coffee bar and drink bar were very cool (some of the best coffee we had on the island). Also, lots of cozy hut areas for lounging and relaxing. Bar area also had a pool table, books, and some games -bungalows were private and included a patio with hammock and seating area. Rooms came with a/c and fan which kept the rooms very cool -price was great! Cons -2 minute walk to beach but still very close and located in convenient area by bars, restaurants, mini marts Overall would definitely recommend booking with Lanta Pearl, the price is a steal.

Amazing!”
We stayed here for 1 wk and i didnt want to leave, everything was perfect, they met us at the pier wen we got off the ferry and drove us to the resort, check in was quick and easy, they carried our bags to our bungalow and showed us how everything worked like air con and safe. The bathroom was really clean and the shower was amazing. The bed was really comfy. We had a hammock on our balcony which was great for lazing in the shade during the mid day sun. The beach is nice and about a min walk from resort with lots of bars. There was also a mini mart right next door which was really handy. All of the staff are really friendly and speak good english, they go out of their way to help u and make ur stay enjoyable. We booked a day trip to the phi phi islands through the resort which ran really smoothly and we also booked our travel from koh lanta to koh phangan through them and that also went really smoothly, it took the stress out of doing it ur self. The food at the bar and restaurant is really good, i had breakfast there everyday and lunch most days, we did have a few evening meals as well. They have a computer in the reception, we needed to print off booking confirmations so that made it easy. Every day we got clean towels and bedding and two bottles of water in our fridge, little things like that make all the difference. I would defiantly recommend this place, it has everything u need and is so relaxing, we went to the beach every evening to watch the most amazing sunsets, if u want to explore the island they do motorbike, car and bicycle hire or there is a taxi rank out side the resort. If we come back to Thailand again i would defiantly stay there again😊

Beach location with Sustainability philosophy”
When we got to Lanta Pearl, our bungalow was already booked but Michael found us accommodation across the road at Lantawadee (a very nice place to stay with clean bungalows, private outdoor showers, and very beautiful landscaping). We ate at Lanta Pearl's restaurant almost every meal, they make a very spicy green papaya salad and extremely tasty hot pan. The place is family-run, who make your stay very relaxing and carefree (even if your bungalow was already booked!) They have a sustainable philosophy and try to use as much organic and local produce as possible. This place certainly added to the wonderful time we had in Koh Lanta. We did get to stay in a bungalow the last night we were on the island. The bright pink mosquito net was a bit shocking, but overall the bungalow was pretty good and the shower quite clean.

The attention of the manager are unique”
is one of the best resorts, where ever in Thailand. The attention of the manager are unique, with which it is now natural to tune in! I'll be back at the Pearl Beach resort, whenever I am in Koh Lanta. The tropical Asian garden where the bungalows are surrounded by wonderful, and also oversaw the design of the rooms.

Wonderful!”
The Lanta Pearl Beach was amazing - it was our "splurge" stay in all of thailand. Private bungalow with AC is great, spacious room, hammock outside the room, about 5 min walk from bed to beach, handful of cute beachfront and in town restaurants. Staff were really helpful in helping us book tours and transport. Would definitely stay here again. Felt similar to a resort in Mexico.

A stay to remember...”
We have been living in this resort during the 2020 March - Mai lockdown. For a longer period, Koh Lanta was cut off from the mainland so we have been living in this resort for 2 months, a lot of the time as the only guests. The owners (Ae and his wife Nah) have helped us a lot in many ways to make our stay as comfortable as possible since a lot of business on the island were closed. In the beginning of our stay the restaurant, poolbar etc. were still open. The athmosphere was relaxed, staff are very friendly and helpful and the food is of good quality. I would like to say thank you again for all you have done for us.

Very Relaxed”
We enjoyed our stay at the Lanta Pearl Beach Resort. Located a short walk from the beach, the cottages are large with good a/c, comfortable beds & a nice-size outdoor deck with a hammock. Room amenities include TV, mini-fridge & a safe. We were provided with two bath towels, no hand towels, no bath mat. The wifi connection is poor in the cottage. A buffet breakfast is available at a cost of 150 baht/person (less for children.) The restaurant is excellent with many delicious choices on the menu. The resort does not have a pool (yet) but has an outdoor bar complete with pool table & great music!

Nice Resort & Friendly Staff”
We stayed one night in this resort in an A/C bungalow. It was clean and a nice hammock on the front balcony. It was a small walk from Long Beach. The street beside the resort didn't have much to do on it so we had to eat in the resort but the food was quite good and about the same price as other restaurants in Koh Lanta. The owner was very nice and brought us to the nearest bar to watch Liverpool v Chelsea.

Great family run hotel with helpful kind staff”
We stayed for three nights at the Lanta Pearl Beach Resort and were more than satisfied. The hotel is far from luxury but at such a reasonable price you can not really expect too much more. Our bungalow style room was clean, with good air conditioning, hot shower and a working fridge. The bed was large and comfortable. The staff really make the place, they were always quick to attend to any request that we had and did so with a smile on their faces. With just a 300 metre walk to the beautiful beach which is lined with some quiet but lovely restaurants I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Lovely staff, nice rooms, 2 min from beach”
We loved it here - group of 3 friends stayed 5 nights. Staff are super super friendly - bar staff were great and made awesome cocktails! Bar was open til 2-4am, depending on guests, but was considerate of guests going to bed early and turned music right down. Very family friendly too; most guests are couples or small families. The room is cleaned on request and you can get fresh towels whenever you need them from reception. It was fairly 'cosy' but good for the price - we asked for an extra bed for one night but they didn't take it away for 3 - a bit annoying, but they were otherwise great. We ate in the restaurant every day - food was great, service was friendly. The smoothies and juices are awesome - coconut smoothie was addictive! This are of Lanta is generally more for couples & families; there are plenty of bars & restaurants with a laid-back feel to them. You can get motorbike taxis from the hotel to other areas of the island, though getting back at night might be tricky - not sure though as we just stayed in the hotel bar & a few bars along the beach. Loved this hotel, would definitely stay there again.

Fantastic service, couldn't be more helpful.”
Despite Agoda not fulfilling our booking and informing Peal Beach, the owners Mike and "A" were able to find us accommodation nearby despite most places being full. A personal service throughout. Meals at Pearl Beach were excellent, nice and spicy! Would definitely recommend Pearl Beach Resort to anyone looking for a family run resort willing to look after your needs and help when/if required.

Good value & 2 mins from Long Beach”
There's a decent buffet breakfast you can pay 160 baht for. Bungalows are very quiet, spacious and functional. Just 2 mins walk from the beach and it took around 10 mins to get there in a tuk tuk from the pier. I've stayed in Lanta before and I do think there are nicer beaches further South in the island so I wouldn't stay in Long Beach again but Pearl resort is a good option if you are wanting to stay in this area.

Exceptional”
Lovely resort, very decently priced. I was lucky to travel with 2 friends during off season, so we got the resort almost all to ourselves. The pool was beautiful and the owner went out of her way to make us comfortable even though there was no food service at the hotel due to staff going home during the off season. We were at one end of Long beach, with access to the beach about 5 mins away. This was wonderful for our peaceful holiday but can be quite isolating for some. Rooms were cleaned everyday with cresh towels and bottled water provided. Would 100% go back again.

Excellent Resort. 5 Minute Walk to Beach!”
Super cute resort! The bungalows are situated in a great layout and the pool is a super addition to the resort amenities. There is also a massage place within 5 minutes walk of the resort. We enjoyed our meals at the resort (portion sizes are smaller than what we experienced at other resorts but still acceptable) and also ventured outside the resort to other restaurants. Long Beach is within 5 minutes walk of the resort. Be careful on the beach, many rocks and accidentally split my toe open on a rock, did my own first aid. The bathroom in our room was dark as the tiling is black, therefore any light is not reflecting well. Loved the foot wash station outside the bungalow doorstep and loved the hammock and sitting on the covered balcony. Would gladly stay again!

A little disappointing in low season”
the lanta pearl beach resort is conveniently located on long beach close to the main road which has many restaurants, bars, 7-11, etc. the rooms were nice, small and basic but perfectly adequate. we stayed for 6 nights and loved the island of ko lanta. however, the resort staff were very absent. our room wasn't cleaned the whole time we were there. a sign in our room said to contact reception if you wanted any cleaning done but no-one was ever there, despite signs saying is was open every day. the restaurant mentioned on the website was also closed as it was low season which was another disappointment. the saving grace of this place was nit's bar (also on site). it was always open and nit was incredibly helpful, booking tours etc for us. if i went to ko lanta again in high season then i might give this place another go. if low season, i would stay somewhere else but definitely come back to nit's bar.
