We've become the repeat customers at Leaf over the years. I love the design of these modern rooms inside of this older stone building. They feel welcoming, comfortable, and classy. Our rooms are always fresh and spotless and for some reason it always feels very relaxing to stay here. We also love the cafe a lot, it feels like a secret spot. On our first visit, we saw an indoor fair with live music playing by local bands there, it was quite the pleasant surprise! Highly recommended!

Exceptional”
Leaf inn is a beautifully refurbished building with aesthetically pleasing decor. Each room is uniquely designed. The room that I was in had tiny figurines and thought provoking phrases (in Chinese, so it was mostly lost on me). Breakfast is served at the cafe and it was lovely. There was a nice designer market the weekend I was there with some live singing. It's not in Hualien town centre, but it's a simple taxi ride away. The staff will help you call a taxi to anywhere you want to go.

Nice and with character”
Was looking for a special place to stay and Leaf Inn definately worth it, rennovated from government warehouse or sth like that, the Inn is a place with story(there's story boards telling you about the building). Very friendly staff. Although a bit away from public transport and shops, but there's bike to borrow. Great breakfast. Will certainly visit again!

Nicely decorated hotel but far away from city centre with no public transport”
This boutique hotel is very beautifully converted from Harbour staff quarters and a warehouse. The décor is very hipster and every room is decorated differently. However, there is nothing surrounding it except another hotel and houses. There is no mini mart or any shop nearby except for a 10 min walk to the nearest eatery . As Hualien has very limited public buses to begin with, there is no bus coverage in this area so every trip in and out can only be by taxis for those who don't drive. Each journey to the city centre is about NT$180 which should be factored in when choosing this hotel. Staff are overall friendly and nice, but did not update me for a change of timing for my Taroko Gorge bus tour. Reception is also only open till 10.30pm, while their housekeeping is done on when I hang their sign and they only replenish towels and clear rubbish bins (don't make your bed nor replenish the refreshments). Despite the nice furnishing, I won't choose this hotel again mainly due to location

Very trendy Hotel with Rustic Decor”
The hotel is converted from an old dormitory and designed by local artists. Decor is trendy and cool- we stayed at a family room and the room size is spacious. Staff does not speak a lot of English. It is about 15 -20 mins from the train station not a lot of restaurants nearby and so plan to arrive early as most eatery are closed by 9pm. Good for long term stay at Hualien.

Room (103) just as shown. Very clean with huge bathroom. Reception friendly & efficient. Only drawback is its remoteness from the city centre -- you need your own transport. Noticed that there was no phone in the room.

Wonderful Service in an amazing architecture ”
I believe the hotel is settle in a reused building. The building shows the ancient style of Taiwan architecture yet very clean and modern after regeneration. The staff is very helpful. By knowing I have a sickness, even have a call back the other day to check me up. Bicycle is free to rent. Recommend to ride the bicycle to see the sunrise nearby. Only draw back is the location is a bit remote. If you are driving or willing to take taxi, then it’s all fine.

It was a dormitory and a warehouse and they renovated them with industrial look. Everything was nice, all the rooms were designed by different artist, and our room was clean and spacious. We joined the live performance which was very relaxing. You can enjoy your trip with great vibe here!
