"gallaghers hotel in the centre of letterkenny enjoys a great location in the centre of the town and has a modern, glass-fronted facade which is appealing. this is a modest 3-star hotel which appears to be built over many levels as it occupies a site that rises significantly at the back. it's best selling points are its location and its rates as a single room (including breakfast) costs just which is as cheap as some b& b's. the bedrooms are reasonably-sized and boast tea/coffee-making facilities and flat-screen tv's although many of the rooms i suspect are like the one i stayed in and face out onto yards or carparks etc. but at this price, one can hardly complain. the staff are friendly and efficient. the only gripe that i had during my one-night stay is the although my laptop picked up the hotels' wi-fi network, the signal was too weak to connect to. another plus-point in the bedrooms is that the pillows felt like they were down-filled. certainly not foam-filled anyway."

"We really enjoyed our two nights in this hotel notwithstanding the "cons" above. It is of a very good 3 star standard and was excellent value for money at the price. The staff are very concerned at the problem they had with drunk people and I am confident remedial action will happen. It is a great base for touring Donegal."
