Great budget guesthouse ”

I had a great night stay at the little Lanna guesthouse. I arrived a bit late on the night I was supposed to check in, and Tew was waiting for me (thank god!) he was very friendly and checked me into my room. The room was simple but had everything I needed and was comfortable and clean. The next morning I had a great breakfast of meats and eggs and fruits. I went on an all day excursions so they held my bags for me and when I got back helped me call a taxi. The staff was very friendly and the guesthouse was very clean and welcoming. I would recommend this guesthouse to anyone looking for a simple place to stay in Chiang Mai!

Good location to explore Chiang Mai ”

Little Lanna Guesthouse is a good starting point to explore Chiang Mai. Its only 10 minutes walking away from the city centre. Also there are more hostels and hotels around from where you can get a coffee or food. The staff was excellent and very friendly. On one day we had technical issues with the motorbike, a lady was very helpful to sort out the matter for us with the rental company. The rooms were clean and spacey, nothing to complain. We been happy we our choice and pleased to recommend the Little Lanna Guesthouse.

As I told, don't hesitate to choose Little Lanna when you come to travel at Chaing Mai. The room is very clean. Anyway, Staff and owner are very nice and kind. I absolutely appreciate on there service !!

Worth every penny. ”

The staff was friendly, the rooms were clean. You got the feeling as if you were staying at a friends house more than at a hotel. You leave the shoes downstairs and walk up to your room that receives new cheats, towels and water every day. In the morning you receive breakfast for a small cost which is basic but enough for most. On the same street as the guesthouse there are restaurants and cafes as well. Some extremely cheap (35-45 baht per meal) and some with more western sort of food (200-400 per meal). Chiangmai isn't big on tourist stuff so for me there wasn't any real city or centrum to go to. But everything is a bus fair away so you'll manage. I would recommend this place for the very cheap price but good quality. Don't expect to much though. It's not a "real hotel" so if you're looking for a better than basic place to sleep at this is your pick. But if you're looking for spa/bar/restaurant hotel you'll be disappointed. Although they said that they soon will open their restaurant where they have a bar. But it was closed when we were there.

Nice host, nice family ”

We stayed fir five night in April. Host family is very helpful. Everything is clean and tidy. You could have a good sleep at Little Lanna! Will stay at Little Lanna again!

A good place to rent with cheap price”

Little Lanna: Pros: + Good location: near tourist attactions, malls, markets,... + Friendly and helpful staff + Flexible check-in/check-out time + Facility in general looks new Cons: + One primary staff is only fluent in Thai and Chinese, not English + No sound-proof between rooms and floors + The cushion on my bed is not soft

Cheap, lots of dust, bad bed”

At first, the room looks okay for the money paid, the floor is clean and the bed looks okay too. But once i turn-on my hair-dryer all the dust flown down from top of the cabinet, i guess the owner forgot to clean that area. So many dust that i have to run out of the room, after 10 minutes I went back in and clean it up, most of them. (if you dont use hair-dryer or turn your hair-dryer to other direction then you will be okay.) Secondly, because the price is cheap, you can expect "cheap" bed too. I feel like i was sleeping on second hand or thrown away bed, if you have backache problem or you are heavy, avoid this place. I didnt make any complain becuase i stay only 2 nights. Third, the bathroom floor is always flood when you shower, took around 30 mins for all the water to drain from the bathroom floor. We experienced this on both of our room, still we manage to use toilet same time, then shower the same time and left the place immedietly, so water can take its time to drain, no bad smell from bathroom though. Forth, the place is very deep down in the street, end of the road, it will took you 5-7 minutes to walk to nearest only main road. But there are many cheap hostel is in the same area too. With all the comments and considering the price we pay (we got flash deal -40% extra), none of my group can complain about Little Lanna, owner is extreamly friendly and helpful, i see several customers smiling and happy too. It is a cheap but decent place if you buget concenred. I hope my tips can make your stay more happier.

Live up to its price”

This place is very close to Chiang Mai's city center, about 10 minutes walk. I would recommend this place to those who travel without renting a car. The area in front of the guesthouse can support few cars only. The owner is very hospitable. The room was clean and exactly look like the example pictures. Since the wall is not thick enough, you will hear everything if someone walk or talk around your room. Overall, we do satisfy our stay here.

Great clean place with a good location.”

I loved my short stay here. It is located on a dead end street, so it really is quiet. It's only 3 minutes walk away from a huge night street food mecca, and the red trucks that can take you anywhere. The rooms and entire building were spotless, high ceilings and large rooms with large windows also. The owner and staff were super friendly and very accommodating. The owner even sat and spoke with his guests just hanging out, both nights I was there. I would recommend this place to anybody.

Their cleanliness is superb, i hope they will continue keep up the good work in their cleanliness. Host is definitely very warm and very friendly, checked in at odd hours like 4am, the host was already at home sleeping, but he still drove all the way down to give us the room and explain everything. Location is quiet can definitely have a very nice sleep at night. Keep up their good job in making the place so comfortable, will definitely recommend this place and i will definitely come back to stay again.

Great stay”

We only stayed here for 1 night but it was a very comfortable stay. The hotel was extremely clean and cozy. The bed was a tad hard (like all mattresses in Asia) but it wasn't too bad. We enjoyed our stay.

Good location, owner is super friendly ”

Right in the old city, close to temples, Sunday night market, restaurants. The owner was so nice and helpful! He got us a tour cheaper than I was able to book it. We had to leave before 5 am the day we left to get to the airport so he said he would book us a cab. The morning we left we were surprised to see he showed up to drive us to the airport!

honestly, maybe because this is a new hostel so the equipment inside not enough. but the receiptionist is so friendly and help us many time. they rnot so professional but make me feel like living at home. I hope hostel can be had some other equiqment like: oven microwave, wash machine,... One more, pls turn on the light overnight, it maybe help performance:D

nice and large room. Cleanliness could be improved ”

The room was large with a big window (we took the standard one with window) and we felt quite nice there. Only downside is cleanliness, which we felt could be better, even though it was not repulsive either.

We stayed there for 3 days. They have original tour by staff driving so we could go many places. And the location is very nice! We could walk around in the old city easily.
