The breakfasts are also great: the tables are right by the water, you choose one of three menu options, and they cook it specifically for you (and it’s delicious). We stayed in the "Blue" room on the second floor. It’s spacious, with river views from two sides and its own little balcony. The decor is so stylish and beautiful that we honestly didn’t want to leave the room. The entire hotel is incredibly photogenic—**while we were there, a film crew was even there shooting a commercial for a Bangkok travel guide**, and the walls are covered with magazine clippings about the hotel from over the years. There are some quirks to keep in mind: the soundproofing isn't perfect, the floors can be a bit creaky, and the hotel isn't right on the main road—it’s tucked behind a temple, so you have to walk a bit from the taxi (you might even run into some monks along the way).
