“Good value hotel in a convenient location”
This hotel is located right in front of a massive mall (with Uniqlo, Daiso, Muji, etc and a large selection of mid to OK quality restaurants) and 7 mins from Kyoto and Toji Station. A good base of operations for reaching any location in Kyoto via the Kyoto Station. The rooms themselves are simple, but we got a great room with a window that can be partly opened for a bit of fresh air and light. The beds are rock hard... which seems to be common for this region, unfortunately! Cleanliness could be better, there were two hairs on the wall in the shower and hairs on the ground, but the bed was clean. AC is comfortable and convenient to use. They can receive luggage from another hotel but do not have a luggage sending service. Also, you can keep your luggage locked downstairs in the small lobby for free, so you can arrive before 3 pm and leave your stuff there to go explore until you can check in. Overall, I'd recommend this hotel. There are obviously better options, but this was a good value and our stay has been comfortable!
