“Good budget hotel near Chathuchak market”
I stayed 2 nights at this hotel because I wanted to go to Chathuchak weekend market. It is near the market but you still have to walk a bit (about 1.5 km) or take the BTS (one stop only). Considering the low price I would recommend this hotel. The rooms/studios are big and clean and the staff is nice. Unfortunately there was a problem with my room because somebody smoked in it (even though it is not allowed to smoke in the room), so I asked to change the room but it was complicated because my flight arrived late (around 10:30 p.m.). Also, the TV didn' work. After insisting and arguing I managed to get a new room with no smoking smell and a working TV, but there were NO English channels, only Thai! The bathrooms are small and the shower has no curtain and no door, so that the bath will be flooded after taking a shower. It would be nice if you could arrange a curtain! The rooms have a balcony and a fridge, I loved that! Luckily there is an elevator. The main entry is near the temple, but I didn't know that, because Google Maps sent me to the small back door, which closes at Midnight and reopens at 5:00 a.m., so I was worried all the time about not being able to get into the hotel after midnight. Just when I checked out and called a taxi I discovered there was a big front door which is open 24h! Anyway, considering the low price I would stay here again if I want to go to Chathuchack weekend market again. Thank you!
