good location, decent facilities ”
hotel is very near to the train station, which was why we choose it as we were travelling from taipei via train. room was decent size, with 2 big double room. there's not breakfast provided, but there is a very nice local breakfast shop just next to the hotel. hotel has a self wash facility at the roof top and there is a nicely decorated outdoor glamping / chill out area there too. unfortunately weather wasn't too good when we stayed. lobby was nicely decorated and there are free snacks and drinks provided as well, which was a plus point. my only issue is that there is no water boiling facility in the room which makes it inconvenient when u want some hot water . there is a shared heater dispenser near the lift for this.

Good value, but noisy AC”
The only complaint is that the Air Conditioning unit is really noise and it really hard to sleep with it on. As the city is mostly hot it gets really uncomfortable at night as you have to choose either feel really hot or try to sleep with the noisy AC. If you are noise sensitive during your sleep I would not recommend you to stay here.

Meci Hotel is conveniently located near the train station(5-7 min walk). The staff were very helpful and friendly! Free drinks and snacks at the lobby is a huge plus! As the hotel is moving towards being more environmentally friendly, some amenities like toothbrush is not provided in the room but can be purchased at the lobby at a small fee. Overall a very comfortable stay!

Our stay at Meci hotel was really enjoyable . The staff were all very friendly and helpful. They recommended good places to eat and made us feel at home. We had a last minute addition of one more person and they kindly accomodated all of us. The hotel is well serviced with lots of free snacks, cold and hot drinks available. The family quad room we had was very spacious and the kids really loved it. The location in proximity to the train station made it easy to commute to Taipei and the Taroko national park. We had a really enjoyable stay there and will highly recommend to anyone. Kudos to all the hardworking and friendly staff there!

Free bike rental and helpful staff”
Really appreciated the free bikes for use and the recommendations from the staff. Easy to walk there from the train station. We took the bikes to Qixingtan, walked to the night market, and rented a scooter to go to Taroko Gorge (45 min ride). Liked the shower and the slippers and amenities provided. They also helped us get better pillows. Beds are harder than in the US, but that’s pretty standard in Asia

We got the room with mountain view, absolutely love it. Such a great view with park, train and mountain all together. They provide bike for free as well. Just that it is a bit dangerous to bike if you are foreigner and wanted to visit Dongdamen Night Market as we have to ride on the main road but for bike trail. Anyway, else are perfect! We enjoyed our 2 nights stay here. Thanks!

Near to the railway station and the place was very clean and cosy. There is a snack bar at the lobby that is free of charge. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

The hotel located just right in front of the train station, people are easy to get any help like food, transportation or anything. Going to other places around the city was also supported there, they could advise you to make any decision to go!

A great place that I recommend to everyone!”
Though the room is a bit small, it equipped with all the stuff that a traveler needs. Plus, the bathroom is relatively large. There’s also an awesome place at the basement where everyone can eat food, watch tv, chat and have fun. They also provided very good services. They’re all very friendly clerks. The price is absolutely a steal cuz basically everything is great there!

Close to the train station but relatively far from the city and night market (if walking). Staff are friendly. Rooms are clean and well equipped. But I only had two electrical sockets (spaced closely together) which made it hard to charge all the various gadgets we have. Check out their cute outdoor rooftop (with washing machine if needed).

Compared with other similar low cost sites in Taiwan, this is good, clean, nice staff. They can store bicycles safely. Rent full 24 hrs (same price as full day) from the nearby Giant and can use bikes over evening and start early morning. Been there twice, only drawback is somewhat small room, but enough space for shower and sleep.

Clean and convenient”
I chose this hotel because it is in walking distance to family that I was visiting. The location is a short, easy walk from Hualien train station. The room is very clean, bed is comfortable, A/C was nice and cool, and they had lots of free snacks in the lobby. One small thing: the shower only has glass covering front half of shower, so water ends up getting outside the shower. Being from US, I'm not used to the bathroom floor getting wet. Shower was good otherwise, even has body jets. Good hotel for the cost.
