Stains everywhere and overall poor hygiene. Dusts in corners and air con. Constant beats of noise from water pipe all night. Super strong smell of cigarettes / smoke. Definitely not worth the money. Probably the worst hotel room I've ever stayed in.

Metroplace Boutique Hotel is great for Hongkong traveller who wants to explore Hongkong. About 5-8 min from MTR Sham Shui Po exit A2, and just walk distance to bus shelter to explore Mongkok - Tsim Tsa Shui Area. Very convenient. Room not too big. a little bit noisy. Near the hotel there is market and some great food, 7-11, hongkong dessert, supermarket

Metroplace is a genuine find in Hong Kong: very well located and reasonably priced. Yes, it's small, crowded, and beds are too close together, but Hong Kong accommodations are so expensive that such a hotel as this is unusual. The room is priced in the micro-mini range, but has aspects of a more expensive property, a comfortable ottoman and desk, enclosed shower and hot water, good A/C and strong wifi signal, and the appearance and feeling of a higher quality room. Good find!

A Nice Stay”
I would say that the Metroplace Hotel is fairly typical of Hong Kong hotels in terms of room size but there were a number of things I liked about my stay here. The kettle and mini-fridge were very useful and although typically small, I liked the hot water availability and setup of the shower and bathroom. The hotel is very close to the Sham Sui Po MRT station and the No 2 bus (across the street) easily takes you down to the Star Ferry terminal area which is very convenient. The nearby street markets provide a typical HK experience and there are many shops and local eateries nearby. The staff were friendly and my only concern was that the tv selection did not provide any real English channels. I would stay here again.

Hotel Meet my needs just fine. Cheap ( for Hong Kong ) option. Not far from the metro ( Sham Shui Po) and near the Apliu Street Flea market. Safe and great location to explore the city. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms are small ( that is what I figured so no surprise). Will surly be back to stay here.

Good option to experience how the locals live”
First time trying a property at this part of Kowloon - usually I'll be at YMT or Jordan area. The 10-walk from Sham Shui Po MTR station is acceptable, provided you're not carrying too many things or mind navigating the crowds along the stretch of second-hand goods peddlers, elderly browsers and shoppers of all ages. Other than navigating to the hotel from HKIA via Airport Express and MTR, you can consider taking Bus A21 to Nam Cheong MTR, then taking a taxi to the hotel (around HKD30). Night-shift staff Stanley was thoughtful and remembered my remarks to be assigned a room away from the elevator. The room was clean, and while small, was serviceable. Storage was in the form of "kitchen-style" cabinets, whereby you hung your clothes facing the doors, not perpendicularly. There is a good mix of eateries in the neighbourhood (the Vietnamese baguette joint downstairs is affordable and very popular), as well as a supermarket and pharmacy across the road.
