“Not happy-1st and Last”
Stayed 3D2N, Family of 5 (2A3C). Really far end of JB, with terrace estate surroundings and high ways view. 24 hr Indian coffee shop, police post and some shop houses not operating. Convenient shop at the lobby only open at 3pm. Waterfire Restaurant opens 12-10pm mainly burgers, curly fries, kids meal set that comes with nuggets+curly fries+ ice lemon and there's steak too. We arrived at Hotel around 8.30pm, tired and hungry. Got delayed getting our paid rooms as we were told the rooms unavailable and our room order from Agoda didnt went through which surprised me as all bookings has been successful and all is good from our end. After so much delay, inconveniences caused by the Hotel, we got a Free Upgrade to 2 rooms that has a connecting room with 2 double bed (aka King Beds) + 3 single beds in other room, each room has its own door and a shared main door. Side note: Our booking rooms that we paid were 1x double bed (Queen bed) and 1x single bed and we booked 2 exact rooms. These 2 rooms we paid were available upon booking with Agoda but it was not available when we arrived. Anyway 2 room cards were given for this new free upgrade arrangements, the 3rd card if needed will be charged at RM50, IF NO deposit (RM50) made upon check in which we didn't make any deposit as we were also not requested upon checked in last night. Initially we wanted to have the 3rd card but we abort the idea of having it coz it was not really necessary for us too. Ok our king bed room, when my wife went to the toilet she found a used sanitary pad in the toilet bin, she also got shocked as there was a big lizard jumped to the cornice as she was closing the curtain! It was already late and we already tired, we didn't bother to make a complaint at all, not even the next day because we told ourselves this is 1st and the last we will be staying here. Since its really a short stay (3D2N), let's just make do this 2 nights! Ok, the floor was not a nice feeling so some of us put on socks in the room. The water pressure is inconsistent with water temperature if adjusted to cold, the pressure is slightly high but if adjusted to between warm and hot, the water pressure becomes low. There's 2 in 1 shower+ shampoo mounted on the toilet wall to be used if you want but we bought ours so we don't use much from the hotel ones. The toothbrush set with toothpaste and shower caps, hair dryer and small glass were placed on the tray. Only 1 toilet roll in each room given. More than enough towels for 5 of us. 4 towels from the 2 king beds room, 3 towels from the 3 single beds room. The bidet is built-in type from the toilet bowl. 4 mineral water bottles and those coffee/tea/ glass and cups/ stirrers were also given. There's a mini fridge in each room. The rooms take sometimes to becomes cold, but unfortunately the room with 3 single bed continue to feel warm even after 1 hour. We request to check the aircon, and were told the technician is on his way. Oh by the way how we communicate with the staff is through WhatsApp. It takes forever for them to respond. We have to keep following up. While waiting for the technician to come, as my wife was closing the curtains, she realised that the windows were not closed and locked! She could hear the traffic from highway as this windows is facing highway. This room is occupied by our 3 children. So we were thinking could the room not being cold could also contribute to this too? Possible chance! When technician finally came, he checked and said the filter is dusty and he will clean it once its done, he tested the coolness, and said it's not warm already, and as mentioned the room needs sometime to feel cold. Its finally cold but we didn't keep tracked how long it takes coz we were all busy unpacking etc. We did told the technician that we found the windows were not closed earlier before he came and he said probably the housekeeping forgot to close! What in the world! Are u kidding! We can only breathe in and out, holding on
