Mini Central is a convenient compact hotel everyone loves. The first advantage is that it is at the heart of the city and is not hard to find, not far from many landmarks. The simplistic design of bed, toilet and shower means it best fits backpackers. Having said that, there are some factors you may not like. And that is just based on my personal experience as a solo traveller. The room is quite cramped, and the bathroom is visible from the bed one glass wall away. Which means it may not suit you as couples or family or someone with large luggage. Of course that just happens to solo rooms, other rooms may be good. Second of all, the walls seem to be a bit thin that you can easily hear your neighbours. Other than that all is fine.

An amazing find!”
I stayed here for more than a week. It was a great base for activities in and around Hong Kong. The staff's gracious helpfulness and hotel location get top kudos. It was like new and had all I needed. Even the lounge was artistic and comfortable and a good place to chill or chat with others--it sounded like a mini-UN around me with several languages' simultaneous conversations. Highly recommended!

If you love the city with all the convenience, business hub, delicacies, nightlife, culture, hiking… this is a perfect place for you… Room looks exactly as the photos. Room Wi-Fi on some certain room are not working (518), but big lobby has good Wi-Fi.

Great budget choice with a fantastic location”
I stayed at Mini Hotel Central for a week and couldn't have asked for anything better. I was in a double room by myself and I didn't find the room too small. The walls are thin but with earplugs I didn't have any trouble sleeping. Loved the lounge area downstairs, and the location is unbeatable - right in central close to lots of great restaurants and close to Central and Hong Kong Stations. Highly recommend for short or long stays.

Very cosy place in a very reasonable price”
This is a very great hotel located in the Heart of Central (LKF), the room is small but it has nearly everything a hotel room needs. Check-in/ out were smooth and convenient. Strongly recommend for people with limited budget but looking for stay in the heart of the city.

Staff are helpful. Hotel is clean and tidy. Staying for 40 nights with very good prices. Just one thing that no special late check out request can be made. Luggage storage HK$10 per piece is reasonable. Have recommended my friends this hotel.

My second stay here, and would certainly do so again. Lovely lobby lounge area. The rooms are small but with a neat minimalism. My only gripe would be the plug points- don’t forget to bring your three-prong adapters.

I have to say there are two sides of the building, one side you can see beautiful church view and the other is shit, only faces to another building. By chance I got the nice view room, it's better to have single bed than double bed, coz the room is super tiny no place for the luggage otherwise. I love the common place in the lobby, there are tables, chairs, sofa and a big piano. I love also how the put the TV in the room, I can watch it on bed and also when I was having shower. And it's super close to bars and restaurants. highly recommend to solo traveler!

Tiny room but clean and bright with a lovely view from the window. One downside was the plug points without any adapters - USB ports would be better. Also, I unfortunately left a vest in the room and it was not recovered by staff. The downstairs lounge area is very nice for relaxing. Highly recommended stay!

I've stayed in this hotel for a week, as I was really pleased with the location, and the cleanliness. I was planning to split my time in HK between Cental and TST area, but I just decided to spend the whole week at Mini Hotel. Great location in Central area, close to many restaurants, cafés, shops and ferries. I've changed 3 rooms as I kept deciding to extend my stay. All of the rooms were clean, with hot water. Very safe area. Helpful staff. Cons: No laundry service, small rooms but the hotel isn't named 'mini' for no reason. No water bottles in the room. There's no heating system, so it was quite cold in January, but you can just ask for a blanket/ small heater. I'd definitely stay here again.

Good Location”
This place is in a really convenient location, the only downside is you need to climb the stairs to reach it from the subway. The weather was cool, but on a hot day you will be sweaty for sure. The rooms are as pictured, I don't know how much the outside window reflects but I always lowered my blind when in the bathroom or shower area. The staff was very friendly and quick to check-in and out. I would stay here again.
