Two friends and I stayed in the triple bedroom (not the dormitory), so it was more of a hotel experience. It was great value for the money. The location is excellent: it is right next to the train and bus stations, which makes it convenient for coming in and out of Hualien, as well as for visiting Taroko Gorge. The downstairs reception area is cozy, and the staff is friendly. There is an onsite washing machine (paid) with detergent provided. There is a dryer, but you can also hang dry your clothes. Shampoo and soap were provided, but not toothbrush and toothpaste, so remember to bring your own. We had a private bathroom, which was clean and well-stocked -- my only minor complaint is that there was no divider between the shower and the rest of the bathroom, so the entire floor would get wet after someone took a shower.

Super affordable with such near location to train station and bus to taroko gorge. Call taxi at discounted fare rate if you get the number from hotel. Staff is always friendly and ready to answer any queries!

Awesome for solo traveller or big groups ”
I booked the family room for 8 - they gave me an entire room for solo travellers - enough space for all 8 of use. Bunk bedded / double bedded. Tv is from a projector where our group hang out. Room has three bath and three toilets so not a long wait for washing up. I definitely recommend this property and will stay here again.

Best stay in Taiwan!”
My cousins and I stayed in 5 places in Taiwan (across different cities), and this was our favourite! The room was clean, spacious and was super comfortable. Staffs were super nice too, and it was the only hostel we stayed in where we got a tour. Parker, one of the staffs, helped us get around Hualien and even ordered a taxi for us. One of them even rushed to help us get our luggage (no lifts, btw) down the stairs. Location was strategic too, and nearby there are mochi shops you can frequent for souvenirs. Would 100% return and recommend!!

booked a private room for two for two nights, one of the beds is elevated (loft style) which I think is a great use of space. room is clean, toilet smells nice, easy access to free coffee, tea and water is really thoughtful. staff are warm and friendly. location is close to the train station and souvenirs, a few hundred meters away from a major street of restaurants. would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Really nice place for such a price paid. Location was very convenient as it is located right outside the train station. Night market is also only a walking distance away (half hour or so). If your legs are tired, you can also call for this cab company (QuanJia) which charges a flat rate of $100twd within a certain area of Hualien. Place is well maintained and clean, facilities are also pretty decent. Staffs were extremely friendly and also gave alot of recommendations on where to go and what to do!

Super convenient location which is exactly 3 mins from Hualien train station. Hostel is very clean but family room is located in front portion so is abit noisy due to vehicles along main road.

We enjoyed our stay even for a while. They allowed us to check in very very late by providing us a prompt instructions. The bed and room is sooo clean. We love it! We'll surely stay again to this hostel when we get back to Hualien.

The place was very clean and elegant, located tess the 5 minutes walking from the train station. They offer free coffee and tea. The most notable thing was the smiling, kind, wide- herated staff, especially Emily. They helped me finding delicious foods around, deciding where to travel in Taroko park and even reserving a permit for Zhuilu trail. If a friend of mine travels in Taroko I will definitely send him to Mini Voyage.

Good place if you need access to the train station”
Had the misfortune of being in the mixed dorm with a group of inconsiderate students... Perhaps there could be reminders from the hostel to tell other travellers to have basic courtesy. Never experienced such bad bunkmates in other dorms before 😟 Other than that, the hostel is very comfortable and very near the train station. A pleasant half hour walk to the city centre too. If you don't need to have access to the train station everyday, staying in the city centre will be a better choice.
