I had a bed in a 10-bed room. No issues. I was able to sleep as late as I wanted. Nice community area on the first floor. Shared showers, toilets, and sinks were clean, as was eating area. I would stay there again.

As a Chinese which come to Thailand to collecting something, the kindly staff they are cleaning the hostel everywhere and it is really clean. I would personally recommend here as a starting point for you to travel in Bangkok if you didn't not care about the mix dorm

Best hostel in Bangkok!”
The location is second to none! Close to a 7/11 around 2 to 3 minutes walk away. Mint Hostel is also close to Khaosan Road, if you don’t know what Khaosan Road is, it’s a must see! There are many temples close to Mint Hostel as well as the Royal Grand Palace, Floating Market and some museums too.

Kind Staff !! Nearby Airport”
The staff were really kind and helpful . Rooms were clean but packed . 24 hrs available water at 1THB per Litre . But I had a horror experience at night , couldn't sleep all night .

I bought tickets from Bangkok to Siam Reap in Mint reception. The travel was very bad because mafia was involved and it was organized from the start to scam tourists.

Free coffee, toast and bananas. A bunk in a room. If that’s all you need then it’s great value. However AC DOES NOT work and the fans don’t do much in a room of 15+ ppl. Hot as hell. The bathrooms could definitely use a bit more attention as they reeked of ammonia from urine. Probably wouldn’t stay again, but let’s get real, for that price you can’t really complain...

Overrated”
Didnt understand the great reviews about this hostel. When you have 14 persons in a little dorm you should increase the cleaning service. They did not so the room was not clean, always had a bad smell but the worst is the A/C who clearly didn’t work properly. Blankets are the one you use in winter. The lobby dont have A/C neither, there was only one toilet on our floor for around 20ppl, shower is next to the lobby so inconvenient and no privacy. There are much better options next to that hostel

It's a Ploy”
So I booked Mint Hostel instead of the cheaper Ploy Hostel because it had better reviews. Turns out it's the same thing and I still got placed in Ploy Hostel. It's just a Ploy to get people to stay there. It's cheap and you get what you pay for. There's a bed, a toilet, shower and towel. There are certain downsides though. The toilet brush was just lying in the middle of the narrow stairs to trip over. No soap and the sink is threating to fall off the wall and onto your toes. Unfriendly staff. Also, I don't expect much privacy from a hostel, but it would have been nice to be able to close the door of the room at all.

The backpacker option”
I stayed one night in a 12 beds dorm. The hotel is small and limited in comfort. Staff was nice. Shower and toilets near the hall and at each level, but not so clean. The rooms are equipped with locker, all bed sheets and towel provided. But my bed was on a window without curtains, on a street... So if you are not scared of dorms and don’t need intimacy, go !

Stinky Carpets, Late Breakfast”
I think the breakfast which starts at 9AM is too late. Stinky carpets that smells like feet. The reception should have been airconditioned since they turn off the AC in the rooms during the day.
