Best place to stay in Wanaka”
Hotels in New Zealand are priced similarly depending on the category so it took us quite awhile and a leap of faith to select Fairway Motels and was it worth it. For the budget conscious, the room came fully equipped with a stove, pots and pans that allowed us to do our cooking and it was so spacious for the two of us. We really enjoyed our stay here despite it being a 5min walk to the town centre but it shouldnt affect your decision.

The owner is nice! She upgrade the room to 2 bed room apartment for me. She is helpful and explain everything to me. The room is clean, the location is perfect. Near to town and lake wanaka. Will be back when I stay at Lake wanaka

Very nice stay”
We had a very good time in this hotel, it is well located within Wanaka and quiet. The studio was big and it had an outside area for relaxing just in front of the room. The swimmingpool, although we didn't use it, was a plus. The lady who runs it was very nice and gave us good advice about the places to visit.

Staff was friendly upon check-in. The location makes its easy to explore Wanaka. Just down the road and you will reach the lake and restaurants. The room was huge and kitchen was well-equipped. It was a great stay!

Staff was friendly and welcoming even though we arrived pretty late at night. Rooms were in great condition and very clean. It is on the outskirts of Wanaka but most people drive in NZ anyway.

Comfortable motel”
We stayed here to visit the Lake Wanaka area and the hotel is well located. The studio we had was comfortably functional and the staff were pleasant and helpful. As with a lot of NZ motels, it was possible to park right by the room, even though it was on the first floor.

Great clean motel with friendly staff. Not too far of a walk to town. Had parking facilities. Great kitchenette in our room - everything you might need (except an oven). Bathroom amenities even had Cotton Buds and make up remover cloth. In the summer months they have a pool. There is apparently a BBQ area but I did not use. Would stay again.

They build the room with guests in mind . everthing is available . No complains . Details of hooks for towel , clothes , heater in shower , handsoap is thought off . Kitchen is fully equipt . Most perfect place . The place did not feel small at all because there is a place for everthing and everything is available that you are so comfortable although it was blistering cold outside due to winter . A great place to stay again .

I was travelling on a budget with 2 young teenage children, and greatly appreciated the free room upgrade which gave the children their own room for a night. Location was good, an easy 10 minute walk into town to buy tea and feed the eels at dusk.

Excellent value for money, very friendly hosts, lots of tips, everything catered for, would highly recommend, if you can get a room away from the road, even better, but went quiet late on, with windows open can be a little noisy but only a minor

The place is big, cosy and very comfortable! I like it that the basin, microwave and toilet area is separated from the room by a second door. Shower water is kept warm, and toilet is spacious.

Overall of the motel was great. ”
Room is clean but there are bugs at nights that enter our rooms and one of the electric cooker is not functioning. But it has great scenery and it was just located minutes away from town.
