Excellent hotel near Khao San Road”

Our stay at the New Siam Palace View was our second place we booked in Thailand. I'll will write all the details and our experience as best as possible. At arriving at the New Siam Palace View, we check-in at midday for our 3 night stay. The staff was very nice, friendly and very helpful. They ask for our passport to get a copy and 500 baht, a refundable amount. Just a security deposit in case the person breaks something or something is missing from the room. They gave us our passports back, the key to our room, a few vouchers for fruit shakes and two vouchers with the Wi-Fi information. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly. Never had a problem with it. We then went to our room and it was small, comfortable and the A/C took a few minutes to cool the room but after that it was very nice. The view from our balcony was, well, old buildings. No river view and the balcony was very small. We didn't care about that. The bathroom was basic but with everything we needed. It had a closet with a safe, tv, a small desk with mirror and a fridge with cold water bottles. After eating so much Thai food we decided to give a try to their breakfast and it did not disappoint at all. It was very good and their fruit shakes are good also. You can get a good breakfast at the lobby for 100 or 200 baht. For us, the location was excellent because it was very close the Khao San Road but really quiet. It was peaceful at night. You couldn't hear any noise from Khao San Road at all. So if you want a place to get a good night sleep but be near all the action this is the place. There is a shortcut to get to the Khao San Road from the hotel and while you are at it you will walk through local markets, stores and restaurants. The other reason we like this location was because it's close to all the temples, landmarks and touristic spots that are nearby so that's a big plus for us. Excellent”

We stayed at the hotel from 25 April to 28 April 2017. The hotel isnice with a lovely swimming pool and lots of trees around. It was extremely clean and tidy and so quiet at night so we had very good sleep. The hotel location is great. It is just 5 minutes walk from the Khao San road, 5 minutes going by tuk tuk to the Grand Palace and some other important temples, 3 minutes walk to the dock to get on the boat for a travel along Chao Praya river. Another plus for the hotel is that the receptionists were all always willing to answer any questions. They showed me the way and helped me successfully book an one-day tour to Pattaya with Mama tour, a travel agent on Khao San with reasonable price and excellent service. At first I chose a guest house on Khao San road then finally changed into New Siam Palace Ville. I was more than happy with the change as after coming I saw that Khao San was so noisy at night. I must say that I am totally satisfied with the time there.

Great price/quality level”

We stayed in this Hotel for 2 nights last week. Clean room and it had enough space. The location is just perfect. The hotel is situated in a quiet alley but in 2 minutes you're right in the middle of the area where all the bars, restaurants and shops are. The only disadvantage of the room was the AC to me. It cools really good so that's not the problem. The AC was blowing right in the bad and there's no option to change the fan of the AC. The swimming pool is so good. Very clean water and it's so nice to chill out there for a while after an active day out in Bangkok. The staff is very helpfull as well. We were flying back home at night and it was like 36 degrees. So a shower before heading to the airport would be nice. Although, during our stay the new hotel lobby was still under construction, the staff arranged a shower facility in the nearby Siam 2. Apart from the AC thing, we would choose this hotel again the next time.

Just what we needed”

We had one night in Bangkok before flying out and New Siam Palace Ville provided a value for money, clean and well located place to stay. Couldn't have asked for more. They even kept our luggage after check-out as our flight wasn't until the evening.

perfect location”

the location is perfect near the river, the palace, wat poh and khaosan road. The pool is nice and clean and good to use after a hot day of visiting. The restaurant is still under construction but it is possible to order breakfast from another siam hotel when you have a tour early in the morning. We would go back to this hotel.

Exceptional”

The lobby is simple but homey. They have 2 lifts, one on each wing. We were given a room with a pool view. The pool is clean and doesnt smell like chlorine. The superior double room is not too big but the size is enough to accommodate 2 large luggages. Wide selection of food for buffet breakfast. Location is good. Walking distance to the Grand Palace, Khaosan Road and Phra Arthit boat station if you dont want to get stuck in traffic. There are several small restos near hotel too. Ride Grab going to the hotel.

Great staying”

It’s lovely to stay with new Siam palace for just 1 night. The location was an excellent also breakfast was great!! Just one thing that air conditioning was too loud that interrupted our sleep. Overall a great hotel. Cheers

Good base to explore Khoasan & Bangkok”

I was already staying at a different hotel nearby when I chose to move across to New Siam Palace View. AS I booked my first hotel for 2 nights only and was unable to extend, I scouted for a New Hotel. I picked this hotel because it has Palace View in it's name and it advertises a swimming pool. Upon checking in, I realised that my room, like most of the rooms does not have any view of any palace - just windows opening out to a small balcony looking out to the balcony of another room opposite your room. The pool was more like a dip-in pool and was fairly crowded. I did not get to use it. The hotel aircon was preset to about 24 degrees & cannot be adjusted lower. I am ok with that except that the it was noisy. Poor choice of aircond for hotel. Overall, my stay was what would be expected of 2-star accommodation. Most of what Khaosan has to offer are within walking distance from the hotel.

Quiet option near Khao San Road”

Location-wise, this hotel is a great place to stay should you want to be close to the chaos that is Khao San Road but far enough away as to be able to sleep. The Grand Palace and nearby attractions are walking distance away, even in the heat. The room is as you would expect for the price point that I paid at, although I was informed that the rate was going up as of June 1, although this would include breakfast. However, the new rate is probably not one I would pay for the hotel especially as there is a woman selling some decent congee off her cart right next to the hotel. There is a pool, although we didn't use it, and a lift to take you and your luggage up to the room. There are printing facilities downstairs too if you need to print boarding passes etc. The staff are friendly and helpful but the hotel does have a bit of a sterile feel to it. Especially in the corridors. For what I paid, I think it was good value but it was probably at the limit of what I would be willing to pay for this type of accommodation.

Good value”

The new Siam Palace Ville is a well run hotel in the Khaosan rd area. The breakfast is good, rooms are clean and comfortable the pool sets it apart from a lot of the other hotels.

Great Location - best value for money”

We have been in a 4 Star hotel the week before and can definitely say that the New Siam was comparable and even better then that one. The staff was very friendly and professionell, the rooms super clean with everything you needed. The Location is great because you are super close to everything but still far enough to have a silent sleep. Kao San Road is a 5 minute walk and Rambuttri just around the corner.

Nice new hotel”

The hotel is in a very good condition, but at the time of my stay there was some construction work done, which hasn't bothered me at all. The location is great for visiting most of Bangkok and especially the Khaosan Road, which nightlife couldn't be heard at all. The staff is outstandingly nice and the rooms are very clean and equipped with all you could need.

Good find ”

Me and friend have just returned from a 3 week holiday in Thailand. This hotel was our last stop and we were happy to have found it. The hotel is new and like the other reviews advise is still under construction, however we had a room on the 5th floor and were not bothered by any noise. The hotel is new so therefore clean and the location is great, just around the corner from khaosan but away from all the madness. Hot shower, the only problem is it lacked facilities such as a kettle, coffee, shower gel, shampoo etc. I didn't like that there was only a sheet on the bed but later found a fleece to add to the bed if needed. Oh and they only clean your room is you ask them and they don't mention the 500 baht deposit that they require in arrival. The balcony was small and we didn't have much of a view however for the price we paid I would defintely stay here again. There is also a pool on the ground floor but it doesn't look like it gets much sun in the day time.

Great for many rrasons”

The hotel is located in a great spot. Close to so many of the great street vendors on the way to Koh San Road and walked to the Grand Palace with ease. Accessible but also quiet. The complimentary breakfast rocked...so good! Pool was clean and a great way to cool down after walking around in the day’s heat. We were able to store our bags for the day we had to check out as we had booked a night train to Chiang Mai. Felt the staff was very friendly and accommodating despite other reviews. Would highly recommend!

Great-Highly Recommended”

This is a new hotel which is only a walking distance to Khaosan Road. The room was spacious and super clean. Pool has been cleaned & maintained everyday. Staffs were genuinely helpful and kind. We had an amazing stay at this hotel and would love to come back here.

Great location if your destination is Khaosan road (5mins walking distance), but far from every other attractions. Hotel is very clean but you have to ask room cleaning service every morning, otherwise they don't come clean your room (not even new towels are provided)! Also, the structure is quite open and you will see lots of bugs and stray cats! I didn't mind it but a big cockroach in elevator was quite scary! They have pool and it was nice!! All the staffs are very nice and friendly, laundry service was good too but clothes got extremely shrunk tho... lol Breakfast is amazing ! I would recommend this place for couple nights! 호텔 시설 전반적으로 좋고 스태프 친절해요! 조식이 분위기도 좋고 맛있었어요! 호텔은 깨끗한데 구조상 벌레가 많이 나올 수 밖에 없는 곳..이고 저는 바선생 만났어요... 작지만 풀장이 있는 게 장점인 것 같아요! 그리고 처음 쳌킄읺핧때오뱈밭디퐈짙 있어요! 카오산 로드 5분거리인건 좋지만 그랩 불러 다니기엔 다른 볼거리들과 꽤 멀어서 택시비가 많이 듭니다.. 숙소 이동하시거나 할때 하루 이틀 지내시는건 추천이요! 이틀정도 묵기에 가장 좋을 것 같아요! 그럼 모두 즐거운 여행하세요:)

Agréable séjour au New Siam Palace ville”

Habitué des New Siam depuis des années, celui ci ne déroge pas, personnel très serviable, sympathique et souriant. Situé dans une rue à l'écart à 1 km à pied de Kao San road, une belle piscine, un super petit déjeuner et des chambres petites et fonctionnelles. Tout à portée de pieds, le fleuve, les bus, les massages et les restaurants.

New place”

New place and still working on it. All of the New Siams are great for the budget traveler. This is the newest of them and I assume is priced low to attract a following. It worked with me!

Clean, great location and pool”

Comfortable bed, very clean, great pool. Quiet location but close to Royal Palace and Wat Pho. Western breakfast good value and coffee very good. Excellent Thai restaurant just across the alley that employs disadvantaged youth. Hotel was under construction at the entrance but no big deal.

Good Location”

This hotel is well located. 7 minute walk to KhoSan Road, 15 minute walk to grand palace. Good eating and drinking spots plus a 7-11 within 5 minutes. Easy to get a Grab. Pool was nice. Breakfast was decent and convenient. Our room was clean. Appreciated the balcony. Good water pressure. The wifi was not very strong so that was a bit frustrating. Nice staff and we used our 500baht security deposit to pay for our taxi to the airport. Glad I had the 500baht available upon arrival. Was a bit surprised they asked for that. Not sure what $15US would cover...
