Convenient and clean hotel close to the airport. We had an early flight and wanted to make sure we didn’t miss it. Hotel had a free shuttle service to the airport. Front desk staff were very helpful and friendly. We were given a room on the first floor with steps (3-4) going up the sleeping area from the bathroom and it was a little hard to go up and down because I had ankle issues. I didn’t mind, just had to be careful.
This was such a great hotel. Some of the friendliest staff I've met in Portugal so far! Room was very clean and spacious, I'm not sure if it's standard for all rooms, but mine came with an accessible toilet (outfitted with a pull cord alarm, grab bars, shower bench) that would be great for anyone with mobility issues...Such toilets in a hotel room are a rare sight! It was easy to call for the shuttle but you'll need to be able to call a landline number, one suggestion I can make is for the hotel to have a WhatsApp-enabled phone so that it is easier for travellers without SIM cards to call. I had a few hours and was able to take the shuttle to the airport again so I could take the metro to the city centre. Loved my stay!
We had an early flight the next morning and decided to stay at OPOHotel. The staff was very helpful, service was great, the restaurant was very enjoyable, beds are comfortable and they provided us a free cot for our toddler. Rooms were big and spacious and so was the bathroom. The best thing was we arrived early for the shuttle bus the next morning and the driver drove us to the airport immediately without having to wait for the other passengers as there was enough time to get back to the hotel before the original pick up time. We really appreciated this gesture. The staff also helped us with all our luggage’s, at our arrival and departure! Thank you!
It is best to leave on an early morning flight or arrive on a night flight. The airport shuttle service is well-organized, and the staff is friendly. The facilities inside are also good! However, there is no ventilation in the bathroom, so it was a bit humid, which was somewhat disappointing! Still, I recommend it.
