Walking Distance to Everywhere!”
Overall, my stay at the Tumon Bay Capital Hotel has been pleasantly quiet and without any incidents. The hotel is close to a waterpark...even walking distance even. All the malls and restaurants are within an earshot away. The staffs are very cooperative. The only caveat I have is the bare minimum room/bathroom amenities the hotel did not provide, i.e., Welcome to Guam notes, Guam restaurant and places of interests brochures, Room Service, TV (no DVD player) channel guides, NO shampoo or hand/face soaps. No iron and ironing board - I have to rent both for $4.00!!! What the heck!!! One other thing, the bed or the COMFORTER is filled with stains and molds!!! I don't know when were these comforters washed the last time but the abundance of old and new stains coupled with spots of mold cultures will make a grown man puke!!! Good thing I have a pretty darn iron-clad stomach! I guessed, it is the cheap price I paid for the hotel. Serves me right!!! Oh, one more thing, roach and rat poison were sprinkled under the bathroom sink which is moldy as well. Overall, the hotel served my purpose in staying in Guam! Cheap, affordable and so centralized to all the business places I visited while in Guam! Unfortunately, I did not invite any business counterparts at Tumon Bay Capital Hotel, even just at the hotel lobby for the lack of centralized air conditioning. I still agree with the Three (***) Stars but will dabble on the 2 -2 1/2 Stars just because of the molds and lack of room amenities.

Nice hotel and staff very helpful”
I enjoyed my staying at Tumon Bay Capital Hotel. Close to my meeting venue. A place where you get value for your money. Nice and clean but most of all I felt safe and it was like I was home.

"Great location right off main tour area of Tumon"”
First and foremost since this was my first time staying at your hotel my stay was outstanding. My check-in was smooth with a smile and fast service. The room was very spacious with lost of room to get around. The bathroom was spacious as well. I had more then enough closet space for all my stuff. The view of Tumon from balcony was beautiful, I could see all of Tumon and the Oceanside. Vehicle parking is really good as well. Thanks for having me as a guest at your hotel...

great location, great food, great room”
this is a real hotel. compared to other cheap hotels, this is the best so far when it's on sale. the room is big and so is the bathroom. there's big balcony and good night view. it's next to the beach and there's a bar. the buffet breakfast is good and cost us each. we stayed in 3 different hotels in guam to try and we liked this one the most (it's only $10 more compare to the cheapest hotels in guam). there is a water boiler, tea bags and coffee bags. but there's no hair drier in the bathroom and if you want to go to k-mart or other malls, you have to take a bus to dfs(15 mins) and then take another bus from dfs.

Location is very good but a bit old facilities”
Arrived 5am and requested for early check in but no rooms were available (my fault for not reserving the night before). But due to the location, a short stroll and you're at the heart of Tumon Bay. Duty Free Galleria is in front so all the shopping is a stone's throw away. Restaurants and bars are just down the road as well. Public entrance to the beach is right at the road of the hotel too. Staff are very pleasant and friendly. The view is spectacular. All rooms face the ocean and are all presented with unobstructed view of Tumon Bay (Guam's tourist destination). The rooms are however very dated. The toilet and drains are a bit clogged up. I had to take a shower in slippers because the water collects in the tub and its kinda gross. The lobby alone has three sofas that smell like dried up perspiration and the toilets at the lobby...oh God. Cute little flat screen LCD tv (19" I believe) and the aircon is super strong (you can cool the room in a few minutes). If they have a few renovations along the way this hotel has everything up its sleeve to prosper.

Great budget hotel in a posh area”
I stayed at the Capital for 3 nights with a late check out on the last day. As the hotel was not full, they allowed me a 6pm check out for an additional - which was good value. The hotel does not offer airport pick-up and drop off but has an arrangement with a private taxi that offers this service for each way (which is much cheaper than flagging down a regular taxi). Call or email them before you arrive to make this arrangement Overall, it was good to find a budget hotel with huge, clean rooms right in the heart of Tumon. The hotel is located right at the top of a hill past the Plaza hotel and Tarza water park so it's a little bit of a climb from main street. By being away from main street, it's quiet with great views of Tumon Bay. There was free wifi available in the lobby (though not in the rooms as advertised) but it was a little slow in the day. Speed picked up in the evenings after 8pm. For those looking for luxury, this is not the place to stay in - it's a little old and tired with no restaurant attached. However, for those that are only looking for a place to sleep in in the evenings, this is perfect as it's clean, quiet and centrally located.

Great location for the price”
For the price to stay in Tumon you can beat it. Only 5 min to the beach and all the Tumon shopping around the corner. A dive center in the hotel with free wifi. Also, every room has an ocean view. Rooms were clean and very comfortable. I will defiantly go back.

Little old but good location”
Located very close to the center of Tumon - walking distance to DFS Galleria and many restaurants and shops. The hotel is a bit old and might need a makeover but the prices are relatively reasonable so if you are looking for a budget place and still want to be near where the fun is, this is the place to go!

Nice and convenient!”
the hotel is just located very close to dfs, it takes you approx. 3 minutes walking distance to there, it's very convenient to the shopping malls, restaurants and even the tumon bay! i personally like the location of the hotel very much even though you have to walk up a bit to the hill, but i think that's fine with me as i just want to get a place to sleep within budget. the room is clean, neat and with wifi!

Budget Studenty ”
I really enjoyed my stay. The really bad thing is the plumbing. The hotel is an old one. The owners don't see the return on investment of redoing the plumbing. This means that when a lot of people are using the water, it can slow down and even stop mid morning. There are reports of irate Japanese men covered in soap at the front desk. This happened to me once too. Fortunately I had some bottles of (cold) water and poured one over myself to wash off the soap. Yes, there was one bug slightly cockroach like (but not a roach) in the bathroom. It did not bother me. If you want perfection, don't stay there. If you want spacious, pleasant, large, rooms with internet and a nice view, at a price one third of that at other hotels then stay here. It suits students rather than businessmen. The slope is okay for anyone fittish. The slope means that you are away from the noise and bustle. The pool is okay for a lounge and young kids. There is a water-worldy slide thing right next door. There are convenience stores at the bottom of the hill. The mattresses are a bit springy. Again, I would not recommended it to anyone heavy. The TV is big and works. The staff are nice friendly and helpful except for a guy called Ronaldo (realise that you are working in the hospitality industry Ronaldo!) who sits around wearing his ipod, largely ignoring the guests, looking, being unfriendly. The Capital Hotel is a bit like Fawlty Towers, or some nightly let old student apartments, or rather scruffy but, in a tropical resort with views of the sun going down over the ocean. I look forward to staying there again, and I will be recommending it to Japanese students.

Cheap, good location, but barely tolerable room”
The drinking glasses are never replaced, the tub drains very slowly, the bedsheets only reach your knees. The location is just 5-10 minutes near the beach (although you have to walk up a short hill to get back to the hotel) and the price is cheap. Best available deal for a Tumon Bay beach hotel.

Great Room With Very nice view great customer serv”
i was very happy with this hotel. first of all the staff members were very helpful with my inquiries they are doing a great job and was very eager to help with directions to the guam premium outlet and also restaurants. one of the down sides is that the bed sheets seems to be quite dirty as i can find several coffee stain marks on my bed, some dried up yellowish liquid were also on the sheets.

Great choice for our needs”
i enjoyed our stay and would stay there again. the wallpaper is wrinkling and there may be some stains, but the rooms are spacious and well-lit, there is free wifi (rare in an inexpensive hotel!), there is a balcony, the beds are large (queen size) and comfortable, the sheets are clean, the air conditioner is effective, the refrigerator works well, and the location is within walking distance of high end shopping, the slingshot, and underwater world. it's a little hard to find, but it's next to the tazan water park off the main road. it may not be the kind of place to lounge in the lap of luxury, but for a nice place to put your belongings and a quiet place to sleep between adventures, this is a great place to stay.

The Capital Hotel is a bare-bones hotel.”
The Capital Hotel is a budget experience. Its great location is balanced with a minimum of comforts. The lobby, elevator and halls are not air-conditioned. There are no mattress pads on the beds, and the sheets often don't reach down to the bottom of the bed. There is not much water-pressure in the shower, and the water goes out several times a day. However, it is clean, the refrigerator and air conditioning in the rooms work great, and the staff is friendly. If you have to cut costs, this hotel is a good option.

Good basic hotel”
Good basic hotel in central Tumon. Guam is expensive for accomodation. This hotel basic and dated but is cheap.

Great view of Tumon Bay”
only good thing I can say about this hotel is that i has a great view (all rooms face the bay) and the location close in the heart of Tumon Bay. The staff is virtually non-existent and when you can find them they anything but helpful. The hotel is old and not well maintained and the pool was “closed” most of the time and the restaurant is closed all the time. You don’t need an alarm clock to wake early because the dive shop that rents space from the hotel starts loading air bottles about 0600 every morning. Overall the price, the view and the proximity to the action makes this place is tolerable.

budget hotel in a central location”
the hotel was an easy 5 minutes stroll uphill from the main strip in tumon bay. the room assigned to me on the 4th floor was spacious and had a balcony with city & ocean views in the short distance.the room was clean, but some minor maintenance and re-decorations would b required in the near future. taxi from/to tumon bay is very expensive per distance.

great location but fair standard”
Hotel is located in the very heart of Tumoning shopping district. At the same time it is quite as it's slightly uphill and no busy roada are in its vicinity. DFS is about 2 min walk. Beach is about 4-5 minutes walk. The hotel is cheap and very well located. However, we can say a lot about it's cleanliness and maintenance. Staff is not rude but also not very polite. No restaurant in the hotel (no breakfast, dinner...) Beds are so soft so you feel like laying on water bed.

Nice hotel for the price with a great view ”
This hotel is a little old and the staff is only moderately helpful (when they have to be), but every room has a view of Tumon and the bay and it is close to the center of tourist activity. So, expect a hotel commensurate with the price you pay (nothing special, nothing extra) and you shouldn’t be disappointed.
