I stayed at the Panviman for the second time , this time I opted for the junior suite for my four night stay and it was superb. Big comfortable suite with large double bed , flat screen TV, large comfortable couch and very nice lighting . kettle and espresso machine for my caffeine hit . mini bar with both soft drinks and alcoholic spirits . Huge bathroom with both shower and large bathtub . Huge balcony with a longer and table and chairs ideal for sitting and having a coffee while taking in the beautiful mountain views . Breakfast had a great selection of both Thai and western food , the whole resort is kept spotlessly clean , the grounds are huge and very will kept . The staff are very polite and very helpful . Plenty of viewpoints to visit within driving distance of the resort . A 7/11 is within 5 minutes drive and as many fresh fruit stalls line the roads leading to the resort as anyone could ever want . I will definitely stay at this resort again and would highly recommend a visit . 10 out of 10

Nice hidden gem in the woods of chiang mai ”
A quiet hill resort for retreat if one love nature and views of the nearby mountains. This resort features many different accommodation types to choose from for people with different preferences. Room facilities are top notch and also kept very clean. The outdoor pools are large and scenic but can be quite chilly during rainy weather. There is also an outdoor warm jacuzzi pool, gym and a meditation cave which are nice features. Tried their Thai food in the restaurant which is savoury and authentic.

We stayed at the sky mountain junior suite for the mountain view. Note that as of May 2023, the shuttle to the city is no longer available; it stopped since the pandemic. Grab cars are not easily available here and Grab will ask to cancel ride from the airport unless we are willing to pay 2x the fare amount or around 1200 THB; we chose to head to the airport transfer booth and it cost us 900THB. We enjoyed the sounds of nature - bird calls at dawn break, and cicada, crickets, tokay gecko (which can get *really* loud) and possibly owl at night. This may not be for everyone; our neighbour was screaming expletives that starts with ‘F’ at the gecko in the middle of the night. We stayed 4 nights in late April to early May and during this dry season, there were small wildfires in the nearby mountains in front of our balcony so insects started to come into our room. We didn’t mind this as this is part of a nature getaway experience. Spa was great and there is option for indoor air-conditioned room or the outdoor pavilion beside the pond for Thai massage. Front desk staff spoke adequate English and were extremely helpful and attentive. Staff in general was polite and would greet guests when meeting them. Room service and the buggy (they call this ‘club car’ here) were always quick when we called. Be aware that the hotel is spread across a vast land area with steep slopes so travelling on a buggy from a place to another is necessary. And the experience can be a tad thrilling when the buggy climbs up a 45 degree slope.
