Charming”
I was not disappointed on staying at this hotel (pronounced as 4 Hoi) and had a pleasant surprise. Pho Hoi Riverside Resort is located on Cam Nam Island on the main river just beside the bridge from the old town. It offers a great unobstructed view of the river and fishing boats from their 3rd storey room balcony, panning from the bridge to the east end of the old town. The all wooden big balcony is nicely furnished with a table and chair for 3 seating. It has a colonial style setting with a well-maintained garden surrounding, fish ponds and a sparkling swimming pool. I was given a free upgrade from their superior room to a villa room on the 3rd storey. The room facing the river is quiet, has a woody setting, and in the morning I was pleasantly awoken by birds chirping around the garden. This hotel must have been spruced up after receiving poor reviews on its building condition. It is just a 5 minute walk to town from this hotel, across the Cam Nam bridge, to the town's main market. Another natural novelty is a push-cart sugarcane juice stall just across the bridge at the 1st cross road junction beside the market, every time I crosses this bridge I would buy 2 cups of freshly squeezed ice-cold sugarcane juice to quench my thirst under the hot weather. Buffet breakfast served was good and plentiful. All staffs are friendly and smiling, especially Truyen (pronounced as Twig) who gave me a thorough introduction to Hoi An with a free map; she even helped me when my tour bus did not show up, thank you Truyen. Phu is also friendly and eager to provide information on the town. I will choose this hotel again should I be in Hoi An. The only faults I found in my room are that the rain-shower mixer does not mix the hot and cold water, it only does either all hot or all cold; the bathroom has no hanger for towel and the Wi-Fi is weak on the higher floors.

The Pho Hoi Riverside Resort, a very good choice!”
The end of januari I spent five nights in the Pho Hoi Riverside Resort. It turned out to be the perfect choice. The hotel is located on a marvellous spot: at the riverside and next to Cam Nam bridge. You only have to walk to the other side of the bridge and you are in the center of Hoi An next to the central market. In spite of the central location I did not experience any disturbing noise, the river makes it a quiet place. The people are nice and polite and the service is very good. I tried not only breakfast, but also some lunches and one dinner. They were all of very good quality. Vegetables and herbs are very fresh and clean because the hotel has a beautiful vegetable- and herbgarden. My room was in the main building, very clean and big enough for two people, with a good airco. Nice swimmingpool, even from the pool you see the river. I would recommend this hotel to everybody!

Riverside Resort that has it all”
Our stay at Pho Hoi Riverside Resort was everything we wanted, the staff were friendly and helpful, our room had everything we needed but did wonder why no towel rails, bed was a bit hard but seems to be the norm in most places we have stayed in Vietnam (not a big deal ). We enjoyed the breakfasts but ate out the rest of the time as there were so many beautiful restaurants to try. Markets are handy but need to learn how to say "no thank you" as it can get a bit much when you just want to look. Loved the gardens and an amazing pool to come back too after a busy day out, was great to be able order food and drinks by the poolside. A fantastic place to stay, we definitely would stay here again. Not so busy in Hoi An, so were able to hire scooter which took us to Ancient Hoi An, Marble mountain, 2 places not to be missed.

The Pho Hoi Riverside resort turned out to be one of the best places we stayed at during our trip to Thailand and Vietnam. From the driver who picked us up at Da Nang airport, the staff were very helpful and full of advice on best places to shop and which tours were best. A good pool, better than average dining room for breakfast and pleasant, well kept grounds that were a pleasure to explore. Happy, smiling greetings from all staff that we met - especially the cleaning ladies, security guys, waitresses, cooks gardners and reception desk people. Nothing was too much effort. We were upgraded to a Villa room overlooking the river and enjoyed being able to sit on our balcony in the evening breeze.

Hoi An is a beautiful city, and the Pho Hoi Riverside Resort is the best place to stay if you want a great price/quality balance. I spent, unfortunately, only one day in Hoi An, and I would have loved to stay more, not only because of the city, but also because of the hotel. The breakfast, inter alia, was amazing.

Great location, wonderful breakfast”
this was our second stay at the pho hoi riverside resort. the fist time we had a very tired room in the main hotel. however, we decided to return because we liked the location. this time we booked the executive bungalow. we enjoyed this accomodation much more, as we had a porch and an uninterrupted view of the river. our bungalow was right next to the kitchen garden and very close to the pool. the pho hoi is very close to the market and shopping strips. we walked everywhere and really enjoyed our trip.

very friendly greeting upon arrival and offered refreshments. offered a list of activities that could be organised through the hotel, no query was too hard. beautiful garden area's, great pool area. buffet breakfast's were fabulous. my villa accomadation was lovely and clean all staff were friendly and greeted me with a smile and good morning/evening. made my stay in vietnam very enjoyable and i would recommend the pho hoi riverside resort to my friends and family.

We loved staying at the Pho Hoi Riverside Resort in the fantastic town of Hoi An. The setting on the river was really beautiful and we loved sitting outside and eating our breakfast in this most beautiful place. The staff were always helpful and the breakfast was very good. The room we booked was in the older part of the hotel beacause it was cheaper. The room was big and roomy and very clean. It was very comfortable for a family of 4.

The location of this accommodation could not be better. Just walk over the bridge and your in the Ancient City. Great facilities including a pool and Riverside bar. Rooms are large and evert morning the breakfast spread was bigger. We organised a sunrise My Son tour through the hotel, which a also good. You can't go wrong with the Pho Hoi Riverside Resort!

3 Nights in Hoi An at Pho Hoi Resort”
First, if you are unfamiliar with Hoi An, know that the the Pho Hoi Resort is just on the other side of a bridge over the river that does not permit car or van traffic. Hotel staff will bring your baggage across, but you will have to arrange that with the hotel. Once, there we found the staff to be helpful and accommodating and the room to be nice. Note: we did not stay in them, but the hotel has some bungalows and some new rooms that are closer to the river than the original hotel and which appear to have wonderful views of the river. We enjoyed our stay.

Great location, definitely can't get better in Hoi An.Away from the busy traffic with great riverside views.Staff are extremely friendly.We have stayed two years in a row for 10 nights both times,plan on returning next year. Bungalow is nice and private, could do with a revamp as the most expensive accommodation in this resort.if I had a negative it would be the tiled pool area is very slippery so you need to ensure you wear you thongs to the pool edge. All in all you can't go past the Pho Hoi if you want a taste of the real Hoi An. Over the two years we have noticed improvements so keep up the great work. Great location with a great price”
Stayed for 1 night whilst visiting the Hoi An city. The resort is situated on the end of the bridge which meant vehicles horns and sounds was quiet throughout majority of the night. The feel and vibe of the resort brings it back to a time of simplicity of Hoi An, with much of the building architecture of pre Vietnam war, whilst fitted with modern amenities. There's even a moderately size veggie patch in the centre of the resort. Shower had great heat and water pressure, though the drain didn't drain as quickly as I would like, resulting in half the bathroom being covered with water, thus toilet trips was with footwear till water was drained away. Was on the 3rd floor with a balcony view to the river and said veggie patch, amazing view in the morning. Resturant was a nice setup with views to the river, and breakfast had pretty much everything covered. The resort is a 15walk to the Hoi An Night Markets. Overall a great nights stay.

Nice place but pictures are a bit misleading”
Did not get off to a good start as thought rooms were ground level from the pictures, which is why we chose Pho Hoi resort for one of our party who finds stairs hard to manage. All 3 rooms turned out to be on 3rd floor of one of the hotel blocks they call a "villa". The ground floor rooms in those blocks are what they call Japanese villas (still have few steps but manageable) but everything up stairs are villas. There are also bungalows in front of the villas which also have a few steps up to the verandahs. Staff resolved the issue quickly by changing our disabled friend to a Japanese villa for an extra US$5 per night (reduced from the initial request of US$10 per night). Everyone was happy and enjoyed the 3 nights we stayed there. We commented on the number of flies around at first breakfast and they must have done something about it as the flies almost disappeared from then on. Restaurant looked a bit pricey for other meals so we walked over the bridge and ate in the old town. Recommend Red Sail Restaurant at 40 Bach Dang, delicious food at reasonable prices and nice draught beer! Laundry at Pho Hoi does not include ironing which is extra. All in all, nice place and would happily stay again.

our trip to hoi an, vietnam was wonderful and it was enjoyable staying in the pho hoi riverside it wasn't really my idea of a resort.... more a traditional vietnamese lodging. our room looked out over the river and was quite spacious. be prepared though, the beds are firm and if you want a soft pillow you will have to request it. the pool was small but clean and quiet. breakfast was included in our package and was a good buffet with western cuisine as well as vietnamese cuisine. the location of the hotel is excellent. it is a 5 minute walk to the main market in "ancient town" where you can find some unbelievable bargains.

Many things about Pho Hoi Riverside Resort to like: Close to Hoi An, good price, wonderful view of the waterfront, nice swimming pool and wonderful staff however one thing really stands out to me and my group. They grow their own food! The garden is right next to the resteraunt. It,s fantastic and the will teach you how to cook Vietnamese cuisine.

Wonderful service but dated rooms rooms”
My 2 friends and I (3 girls) stayed at Pho Hoi Riverside Resort for 1 night. We had a couple of drinks at the Resort's bar by the river. When the bar closed at 10pm, they allowed us to continue sitting there enjoying the night view and cool air. What was so impressive was that the Resort actually posted a security guard who sat there in the dark until 1am to "guard" us. We were not aware of this until we were about to leave at 1am. Only then did we discover that he was there to guard us. Thank you Pho Hoi Riverside Resort for such wonderful and caring service.

A taste of ancient Vietnam”
Just over the bridge is "Ancient Town Hoi An" , the Market and shops, tailors, japanese bridge and cafes/restaurants etc Or one can rent a bike for $ 1,20 per day and drive along the river, see farmers, fisher men, alley ways and people going about their every day life. Wonderful! The Pho Hoi Hotel has a feeling of old Vietnam woth very well looked after wooden structures and carvings, own vege garden and breakfast near the river. The pool is great as well. A great place to stay!

Perfect location, good service, and nice rooms”
stayed in pho hoi riverside for ten days with our three children in the executive family suite. the room was perfect for our family, and the beds were - opposed to many other vietnameses hotels - fairly soft. our kids enjoyed swimming in the pool and playing billard, and we all enjoyed the beautiful garden, and the amazing view of the river floating by outside the windows. the location is perfect - 3 minutes walk from the centre of hoi an, but still away from the most frantic streets.

Top location and very good value for the tarrif”
Pho Hoi Riverside Resort is excellent value for money, accommodation is clean and service friendly, with a fantastic location being only a stroll from the Old Town of Hoi An. The courtesy bus, taxi (Cheap), or small boat(bargin hard for good price!) to the beach and visit the beach resorts. Our room backed onto a laneway which was noisy in the mornings with local traffic and the tooting of horns. Otherwise our stay was a great and ecomonical experience.
