Best hotel on Phi Phi!”

Who we are: a family of 4 (2 adults, 7 and 14 year old, we like luxury hotels, but will settle for lower end accommodation if CLEAN). After a bad experience in Koh Lanta (Baan Puteri resorts ... don't go there!) decided to land on Phi Phi and look around BEFORE booking. We checked out the west side of Ton Sai bay (simple, clean, cheap but a LOT of boat motor noise all day), then Cabana Hotel (very nice but HUGE + commercial), Phi Phi Inn (really beautiful Miami style, but reaked of mould (both at pool level + on 2nd floor). Then all the way to west side of Loh Dalam bay to the little rooms for rent there, which are of good value + clean, but not safe for kids (steep stairs) and the bay is not as nice there (there is huge construction going on, tractor noise, dust, etc). We walked east along the bay + landed at PP Princess. It was PERFECT: spotless rooms, clean smelling linen, beautiful pool, ON the beach. Despite location, very well soundproofed rooms, EXCELLENT breakfast!

Great place to stay”

We stayed 2 nights at PP Princess Resort in early June 2017. We had a deluxe triple room with one large double bed and one single bed. Beds where nice and comfortable. Big bathroom with all amenities but the water pressure was quite bad. Breakfast was nice and had a good choice of different options. The pool was nice and clean and the beach is right in from of the resort. We were not disturbed by the ongoing parties around the resort at night. Overall a great place to stay. The island itself is totally stripped of any charm that you find on other islands in Thailand. Phi phi is nowadays a concrete jungle for young americans that want to get drunk, party and have a tattoo. But if this is what you are looking for and you do decide to visit this island I can definitely recommend PP Princess Resort.

Beautiful hotel and fantastic staff”

The PP Princess is one of the best hotels located within the Tonsai area of Koh Phi Phi. The hotel is exceptionally clean and the breakfast delivered to your bedroom each morning is a nice extra touch. The hotel is set directly on the beach and is one of the only hotels on the island with a swimming pool. Location is very good, 5 minute walk from the port and located in the middle of Phi Phi's bustling resort. The staff are very welcoming and extremely helpful, English language is also well used. I will highly recommend this to family and friends and will visit this hotel again.

EXCELLENT”

We came to PP Princess as part as our honeymoon and travels around Thailand. Not expecting much and after reading (too late) about the construction work that was being carried out we were a little worried when we departed Phuket. How wrong we were! The walk from the pier took probably under 5 minutes from the helpful staff who came to meet us which we didn't expect. We did walk through the area where they are constructing, what we were told, a new pool area but this is all guarded off from the main PP Princess hotel and we were very impressed with the hotel. We were yards away from the pool and the room was immaculate. It was a huge room and we couldn't fault it at all. Had a great stay and the breakfast was very nice also. It's very close to the nice side of the beach and it's close to the main centre of Phi Phi. Would stay here again without hesitation.

Fantastic Experience”

My boyfriend and I went to Koh Phi Phi from Bangkok with no hotel arranged. Upon a recommendation from someone we met on the Ferry we booked the Princess for 3 nights. The rooms were very big and clean and the infinity pool is spectacular with a great view and very close to the beach. It is a mix of couples, families and solo travellers. It is close to the bars and night parties on the beach, but far enough away that you don't feel overwhelmed by the noise or busy part of the main strip. We ended up booking 2 extra nights at the Princess before heading to Chiang Mai. I would highly recommend the Princess. While you can get cheaper accommodations on the island, if you are looking for a beautiful hotel for a relaxing experience that is close to everything the Princess is the best hotel you can stay at! Totally worth the money. We will definitely come back!

Highest Quality Resort in the Best Location”

While there may be some higher end, more luxurious hotels on Phi Phi, there are none as good as PP Princess situated directly in the main town area. We really liked this since it was easy to catch boats during the day and go out at night. The resort area still manages to maintain quietness and privacy despite being so central, however, and when we were looking for a peaceful lounge by the pool or a quiet night in we were able to find it here. Noise from the town at night was not a problem at all! Highly recommend!

Nice, modern, comfortable”

Overall the Princess Resort was a really good place to stay. The room was very new/modern and comfortable. Great location, only minutes walk to the main street, ferry and beach. Breakfast had a lot to choose from and all fresh and well prepared. Only downside is the noise from beach parties at night - probably to be expected on an island like Phi Phi but we weren't quite prepared. If you are planning to be up partying every night anyway then i'd definitely recommend the hotel and rooms were outstanding. But the noise went till around 3am every night so be aware. The swimming pool was nice, good location but lacked any umbrellas or form of shade. Was also full of a lot of drunks with really loud techno music playing all day. Again - probably more of a party atmosphere but not a place you want to hang out if trying to relax.

Exceptional”

We enjoyed our stay at PP Princess. Location is excellent. Beach side hotel but on the quiet side. Close to pier. Breakfast has a great variety. Love the balcony set up; great to have our coffee in the quiet morning. Price is a bit high but compare to Phi Phi Rental properties which are the nothing the same as shown on the photos is worth every bit of it.

Nice hotel in the heart of town”

We stayed two nights. The PP Princess is just "ok". As other reviewers said, the bed was very hard and not very comfortable. The swimming pool was very cloudy and didn't seem clean. The included breakfast was great with lots of choices and espresso coffee which one can make for oneself. The staff was friendly and helpful. We booked a private boat for the day through the concierge which worked out great. We had checked prices in town and the one the hotel offered was reasonable. It was hard to find any hotel on Phi Phi that got good reviews for the price the PP Princess offered. All in all it worked out ok even though we didn't sleep well on the beds.

before deciding to stay at PP Princess I confess I was afraid due to the not so exciting reviews that the hotel has, but due to location I decided to book it and was very surprised because I had no good expectations and all were surpassed, as soon as we arrived at the pier a receptionist who carried our bags to the hotel, friendly receptionists at both Princess and Charlie's pools are great, great location, shower and beds ok, room and amenities ok, sometimes the shower temperature fluctuates but this is normal in thailand, Wi-Fi ok what could improve is the breakfast good options but the food is cold becoming unappetizing, overall I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Amazing Views. Gorgeous Pool. ”

This property was beautiful. Being a solo traveler, I definitely didn’t need as much space. I spent most of my time exploring by boat during my time in Koh Phi Phi. I would highly recommend PP for groups and couples who are looking to lounge by a gorgeous pool and relax. Yet, be close enough to nightlife and all-things Koh Phi Phi.

Great location”

A group of 7 of us had a really good stay at the PP Princess Resort. The location of the hotel was really great as it was so close to the beach but also so close to great restaurants. The view from the infinity pool was exceptional and the renovated rooms were really nice. My only complaint is that we got charged for drinking a beer from the fridge however we hadn't actually drank the beer. When we brought this up to the hotel staff they still charged us for the beer, but we had a ferry to catch so didn't have time to keep disputing it. Overall, it was a really good stay and I would recommend it.

Convenient and Clean”

I enjoyed my stay at the PP Princess, mainly because I ended up falling in love with the Phi Phi Islands. My hotel room was ready early, was very clean and accommodating. The pool was fantastic with good drinks. It was an easy walk to everything - beach restaurants, 7/11, restaurants in town, etc. My only downfall was that this island is very touristy and geared toward a younger crowd, when we arrived at the hotel there was a long check in line but it seemed to go quickly...

Really nice hotel!”

We loved the hotel! We went to Phi Phi in our honeymoon, so we were not 100% sure about staying at Loh Dalum, which is the “party beach” (and where the hotel is located), but we took the risk. The thing is that the hotel is really nice (good structure, really good and comfortable room, super complete breakfast, awesome pool), the Loh Dalum beach is very beautiful, and the hotel is really close to the main village, with a lot of restaurants, bars, stores, markets.. We loved to walk around the little streets full of life after a day at the beach :). One of my concerns was the noisy from the parties, but inside the rooms you almost don’t hear anything, and we had no problem at all to fall asleep, for example. One comment that’s worthy for people who dislike loud music at all: almost everyday, there is a sunset pool party at the hotel, with a DJ and everything (the party ends around 7:00 pm). We enjoyed the music and the party, but it may be a problem if you are looking for a quiet place.

Great option at the heart of the island”

PP Princess is the best option in the island. (+) Arriving by boat, we had the glad surprise to walk just a couple of blocks and arrive at the hotel which is near all the bars/restaurants and in front of the beach as well - location is perfect. The infrastructure is quite new and very well maintained - good rooms, toilets and amazing pool. Breakfast is also great, delicious and with many options to choose from. (-) The check-in experience is not the best because English is very limited from the receptionists and because they have a stupid policy to retain 1,000 THB as deposit IN CASH - for some reason they do not block an amount from your credit card like every other hotel and if you did not withdraw local currency by the time of check-in this can be a pain. Overall, I would definitely stay there again. The pros far compensate the cons.

great hotel”

this is the 2nd time I have stayed in phi phi and this hotels location was perfect. not far from the pier but so close to the beach and beach bars etc. lovely infinity pool. didn't use but it was stunning. breakfast was great. live cooking station. lots of choice. rooms were nice. clean. No iron! it is loud at night but last time I stayed really far out and could still hear it. don't let it put you off you can deffo sleep through it. but don't be a boron get out and party! Just watch the hotel because we paid 1000 deposit and upon check out they said they we had lost one umbrella costing us 500. I explained that no I had not touched it. she said it was raining so you must have. we had ponchos we didn't touch the umbrella. wasn't going to risk it for 500 fee! upon stamping my feet they said they would check cctv. they made us wait ages but eventually gave us the full 1000 back. So my only advice would be check all items every day and make sure they are there.

Great Spot and top facilities”

This was the first time we had stayed at PP Princess (we normally opt for the budget option of PP Charlie - which is fine you get what you pay for but can access all the same facilities). The new pool is amazing! Nice to have an option away from the "party pool". Breakfast options are awesome. View from the room is really nice. I would always (and do) recommend staying here. Location is close enough so you can venture to the beach at night but far enough away that you can't hear it.

Nice stay! ”

We had a nice stay at PP Princess. It's in a wonderful location overlooking a lagoon, and right by great night beach parties if anyone is interested in that. They had a really nice infinity pool we enjoyed using as well. The only issue we had with the hotel was weak wifi that kept going in and out (seems to be an overall issue in most thai resorts). However we would definitely stay here again the next time we come to the island.

Beautiful, comfortable place ”

I truly enjoyed my 3 days at PP Princess hotel. I had a very private, beautiful room, overlooking the bay and a small pool. Only short walk to the large main pool, pool bar and reception. Hotel staff was very helpful and kind. I enjoyed the breakfasts and had 3 delicious dinners at the hotel restaurant. It’s very convenient to be just few mi Utes walk away from all key places on the island: pier, stairs to the view point, little village. I can truly recommend this place and I’d like to thank for making my stay so lovely.

The perfect spot”

I think this is the best place in the area. Beach front, and placed perfectly in the middle near everything: markets, beach parties, pool parties, ferry pier, etc. And it by far has the best, most clean pool. A beautiful infinity pool looking out to the ocean. The rooms were clean, staff was amazing, would highly recommend. Keep in mind that this is a party area of Phi Phi and there will be some loud music sometimes late at night. I hate reading reviews complaining about music noise. Get yourself some ear plugs and have a good time.
