Big, Clean, Beautiful and Convenient Hotel”
The hotel is big, spacious, clean and convenient. Shopping downstairs is really a big deal for us, especially since shopping in Bangkok is really cheap! The hotel is in the 11th floor of the Bobae shopping mall--called as the biggest wholesale shopping mall in Bangkok. Aside from shopping, it is also near the main tourist sights as the Grand Palace and various temples. Moreover, The hotel is big and beautiful, it is designed as a Palace, with high ceilings and beautiful astonishing decorations. the room is big and clean, bathrooms have bathtubs with hot water, perfect for dipping your tired body after a day in Bangkok. Breakfast is really great-- with a good selection of food and the food is really tasty! thumbs up for their chefs! Although the bad side is the pools closes by 6pm, they should make it at least 8 or 10pm :( there are 2 pools, one in the side of the Prince Suites (where we stayed) and one is in the main building with beautiful decorations and such. Although the former pool is better for laps while the other is better for relaxing. There's also 2 jacuzzis where you can relax which doesn't close unlike the swimming pools--but I'm expecting a hot tub jacuzzi not a cold water one :( the staff are responsive except that when I called they always hang up on me... I don't know if that's the tradition in Thailand where they hang up to the other person in the line after they talked (since in our country, we always say goodbye :) ), I think the staff needs to learn more about English and some courtesy. And also some of the furniture are outdated but I guess it adds to the antique style that the hotel would like to possess... But Overall, I enjoyed my stay in Bangkok because of the wonderful Prince Palace Hotel. It is indeed a palace, with a lot of grandiose halls, beautiful decorations and amazing location. All I can say is that I will definitely stay there again.

Great hotel ”
the prince palace hotel is a great place to stay during your stay in bangkok. it's actually located very high up the building itself, which is fantastic when you want to escape the busy, bustling streets of bangkok. the swimming pool area is gorgeous, and the staff that work the bar are always incredibly polite and courteous. the rooms have all the facilities you would expect from a high-end hotel, including room safe. the location is good, although most tourist areas are not within easy walking distance. there are however always a steady stream of taxis and tuk-tuks (remember to barter!), so getting to places such as the grand palace is quick and quite cheap. there is also a river ferry that can take you to a department store if you're into shopping. the nearest train/subway station is a 15/20 minute walk along the river, which connects to other transport links such as the skytrain. the breakfast is very good, with an broad range of food to suit everyone. i would definitely stay at the prince palace again, especially with such low prices and the high quality of service offered.

A real Palace…luxurious but a bit impersonal”
in july 2011 i went to thailand with my family, i.e. two adults and two children (5 and 12 years old). we stayed at the prince palace for one single night, just before our flight back to belgium. we chose the prince palace because it has a swimming pool and because rooms were offered on agoda with a 50% discount (otherwise it would have been out of our budget). the prince palace is a huge hotel and a real labyrinth. fortunately there is staff at each corner to help you to find your way. the hotel is a real palace with impressive, well decorated halls and passages. there are 2 swimming pools. we were in a suite (we booked a 2 bedroom suite but were upgraded to a 3 bedroom suite). the suite was luxurious, spacious and well equipped (air-conditioning, fridge, wardrobes,…). breakfast (included in the room rate) was good and varied. there was a good choice of western and asian food but restaurant was crowded and it was hard to find a table. hotel is located in the baiyoke tower. during daytime the district is very animated. there is the pratunam petchaburi market, which is the biggest cloth market i have ever seen…you can spend hours and hours in this market and buy cloth at very good price. at night there is much less animation and if you want to eat outside the hotel (restaurant in the hotel is quite expensive) you will not find any restaurant in the neighborhood. to eat, the best is to go to kao san road or soi rambutri (10 minutes by taxi or tuk-tuk) were you will find a great variety of restaurants at good price. the prince palace it a bit impersonal and i would chose a smaller hotel for a longer stay in bangkok. but staying one night in a palace (at this price) was a great experience and the family enjoyed it.

Home sweet "home"”
We always go to the Prince Palace Hotel when we are in Bangkok and now it almost feels like "coming home". The staff is enormous friendly and wants to help. We have two little children of 3,5 years and 11 months and nothing was too much for the staff. We got a twin bed (two separate beds) without a problem even though the price of these rooms is more expensive than one bedroom. The area of the hotel is also quite unique with a local (food) market on the opposite of the river. The only thing is that the swimming pool is quite cold so the children could hardly swim in the morning because it needed to be heated by the sun first. This was in May. Next time we will book the Prince Palace Hotel definitely again!!! Good value for money!

Good Hotel”
First of all i'd like to thank Prince Palace Hotel for our nice stay in Bangkok. We booked for 2 nights in this hotel for the last leg of our Thailand trip. Here is my honest review of the place: - Helpful and great staff (from bellboys, front desk & house keeping) - Once we had trouble on our 1st room about the air-conditioning, we were transferred/upgraded to another room - Check-in was fast, front desk staff speak fluent English & super approachable. - Large spacious rooms - Extra bed was set-up instantly (this is with extra charge) - Rooms are cleaned everyday (change of towel, bathroom essentials refilled) - House Keeping & maintenance was quick to help - Area is close to a lot of shopping stalls (single and wholesale bargains everywhere) & turned into an EARLY MARKET (stalls are up as early as 5:30AM) - This is a pretty old type of Hotel so don't expect much - Centralized airconditioning in rooms so some may not work well - A bit far from Central Bangkok - 15-30min car ride

One of my faves”
We read several bad reviews but took the risk and didn't get disappointed. Prince Palace Hotel is an old massive hotel! Well maintained room, super clean, awesome view of the city, as well as super polite and friendly staff. It's located 15 mins away from Grand Palace by motorcycle taxi. We didn't use public transportation often, but when you need there are some bus lines and water bus just in the corner of the street. We aren't sure if people in the past made the right review about breakfast, if they did, the hotel management definitely improved the variety and quality of the foods already. This hotel provides buffet breakfast (6-10AM) with lot of options, from local, American to European breakfasts. You can watch the chef cooks your omelette. Cereal, and fresh milk are available. You can even toast your own bread (feels just like home). Speaking about facilities, Prince Palace Hotel has 2 swimming pools (Tower A and C), fitness centre, sauna-jacuzzi-spa (Tower C). In room, you gonna get complementary drinks (2 bottles of mineral water, 2 sets of tea and coffee), a tv cable with international channels, and even your own safety box (too small for 13 inch laptop, but you can put the laptop on bigger safety box at receptionist, it's free). A minus, you can only use the wifi in public places. Fortunately, they provides kind of living room with comfortable sofas in every floor. Not gonna lie, this hotel is one of our faves, would definitely come back. Regards, @drjungems

Very nice hotel with mostly friendly service”
We stayed at Prince Palace Hotel for one week. Mostly, our stay was very very good. Upon arrival, we were only given 2 breakfast tickets for each day, although we had 5 people. We didn't understand this and then had to pay for any other extras that would eat. We also were not given free access to internet or to the fitness center. They told us that because we'd booked the rooms for such an inexpensive price, were were not given these amenities for free. Once we moved to our 2 bedroom suite, were were given 4 breakfast tickets which was perfect. The fitness center and wifi was never free and cost a lot of money. Overall the staff was very friendly and helpful, always greeting our children as well. The day were were to leave, however, we asked for a 2 hour extension on our room so that we would not have to go to the airport too soon before our flight. The manager at the time was VERY rude and argued that we were asking too much and had to leave at the original check-out time. This was not a good ending to an otherwise very good stay. If we were to travel to Bangkok again, we would have no problem staying here again. The location was very convenient and all taxi drivers knew where it was, which made it very easy to get to and from many locations around the town.

Beautiful and large room with classic furnitures, ”
At first the reception lady gave us a room already occupied by other guests, but to me that was understandable because the hotel itself is so big with 3 towers (tower A, B AMD C at the same building) and sometimes they make mistakes by having problems to check available room. The lady realized her mistake and decided to give us a bigger room(deluxe suite) with beautiful view of Bangkok city. The room was spacious and clean, with some old and classic furnitures but I didnt really bother because I see those as antics and its nice to see some classic touch by the hotel and it has been well maintained. Besides, cleanliness is more important. Staffs were very helpful and quick to offer services, im suprised they could turn up for less than 2 minutes whenever I needed room services. The entire decorations are amazing, beautiful pool and bar. Affordable and my 2 night stay was really great. Would rate it 8/10 and recommend it to everyone. Transport wise, its easier to get unless you want to get out after 10pm there's not much to see around but thats different story as you can always stay right at Khao San road where its busy and loud. Prince Palace is right at the city center of Bangkok but its located in a pretty quiet area.

Great, affordable hotel with nice service”
we are a little bit surprised that they let us checked-in very early in the morning around 0700 hrs. of february 1, 2012, although i do requested it before our arrival. there is really no problem as we checked-in, excellent service, as we feel very comfortable with the staff on our first step of the hotel, everything went smoothly. the location is just great, near the temples, market, police station, shopping centre big and small. easy way to the big shopping mall only 50-60 baht by taxi or 10 bath for boat ride. boat ride from hotel to mbk is only two stops, around 10 minutes or so, cheap and fast ride. i'd like to take this opportunity to thank mr. suksan in helping us negotiate our outside city tour. we had a great time in bangkok. i am very sorry i was not able to give some tip to mr. suksan except for the 100 peso bill as a souvenir. again, thanks a lot to the staff of prince palace hotel for job well done.. see you again in two years.. pitz caluag

Pleasant stay”
Me and cousin, from Singapore stayed in Prince Palace Hotel for 5 days! Door bell staffs in e night shift were so helpful. The moment they saw us drop at the lobby, they greeted us and quickly help us with our things!(i rmmbered, we reachd there with 1 cabin luggage each. But still!) they'll carry all the way up until the lobby area, even press for you the lift! Even untill our last night! We had 30kg weight of luggage each. Shopping! U know! Lol! Even the night guards in Tower C & D. Greet and smiled at us, again, helping us with our luggage. Housekeeping too! Kept our room tidy. Aircon working good, water heater too. Comfortable bed. Only the pillows were too soft Elevator no ventilation. Stuffy. Only the receptionists, no welcome greetings, very hard to communicate too! Breakfast platter, should seperate halal & non halal. But ya, so far, im happy. And that was my first time in Thailand! Majority of the people there are very polite & helpful. Oh! I miss Bangkok. Definitely retu

Prince Palace Hotel”
After we were not satisfied with the Elegance Suite Hotel, we changed to Prince Palace Hotel. The hotel is very nice, big, and the rooms are great. The only problem for us was that the windows did not open at all (very high building). So if you smoke, you must sleep with your own smoke. Otherwise, everything was fine. Maybe the staff at the reception should speak better English. WiFI is not available in all rooms. This was very bad, and it was also very expensive in the lobby. All their services are very expensive. Normally the taxi to the airport costs 400 Baht, but they charged 1000. The breakfast was so great. TV channels have only Thai language. Even the Discovery Channel was in Chinese or Thai. Outside is the Bobae market to buy some things, and 7/11 is there also. But no sky train or underground available near the hotel.

Fit for a Prince”
We have stayed here before and found it up to usual high standard. We had a 3 bedroom suite with breakfast included. Fantastic views across Bangkok from restaurant. Good choice of Thai and Western food available. Eggs of every description, cooked to order, sausages, fried potatoes, grilled tomatoes, beans, toast, croissants, Danish pastries, cereals, and several Thai dishes, that changed daily. Juice, tea, coffee, water etc. attentive staff. Spacious, clean suite on 26th floor. Fridge, cooker etc, plus plenty of complimentary bottled water. Fantastic view across the city. Low season, so we had swimming pool to ourselves. If you want taxi or tuk-tuk, go out of hotel area to main road, and get one there. Don't let the concierge get you one - he is on huge commission. The Prince Palace tries to be a high end hotel, but doesn't quite manage it, but for value for money, you won't go far wrong if you choose this hotel. If you like Indian food, get a Tuk-tuk to police station end of Khao San Road, and look for The Rainbow restaurant - excellent, and if you are a seafood fan, T and K's on Yaowarat Road, Chinatown is a must-try. Tables in the road, but very good, fast seafood. Follow this with a wander through the markets - all down the little lanes - fascinating stuff. I defy you to identify it all. Great place for a few days.

you cant beat the prince palace for outstanding value for money”
we have been to Bangkok countless times and can honestly say you won't beat the prince palace for value for money anywhere in Bangkok. yes the rooms are a little old in design "but so what", the rooms are clean and very spacious and offer everything you need for a comfortable stay. the hotel facility is also very good and the rooftop swimming pool is excellent and offers wonderful picture oportunities for pictures overlooking the city in the distant horizon. breakfast is a good buffet offering enough selection for all tastes. the location is also very good as it is just 10- 15 minutes walk to siam square and about 20 minutes to koah san road. TRUST ME: stop looking and get booking this excellent hotel.

Very nice hotel and conveniently located”
We had a wonderful visit to the Prince Palace. Our room was very spacious. When we first arrived, our room was not clean, but every other day it was well cleaned and picked up. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, because we ordered the room via Agoda and received such a great discount, the hotel did not give us some of the amenities we thought were automatic, such as free wifi and use of the fitness center. After much debate, we were given a price to pay and get daily tickets to use for the fitness center The wifi was quite expensive and only worked well in the lobby, not in our room. Upon checkout, we asked for a two hour extension due to our flight, but the hotel manager was very rude and did not allow us to stay. Overall, we had a great week at this hotel and would return there again. Despite several inconveniences mentioned above, we were treated very kindly and so were our small children. The hotel is well known so we never had problems getting a taxi to and from the hotel.

A Grand Hotel”
We arrived late at night after a full days travel and were quickly taken to our well appointed and comfortable room from where we were able to order a delicious meal from room service which was delivered promptly. The views from our 21st floor window were fantastic. Seeing the sights of Bangkok was exciting but hot and it was good to return to a swim in the pool with the option of drinks by the pool in the evening. We ate at the Japanese Restaurant twice, at the poolside bar restaurant and had Room Service and all meals were a treat. We felt very special staying at the Prince Palace Hotel.
