“Nice view, poor circumstances...”
Punts Hills is located at the furthest north point of Montanita, so you're away from the busy hustle and bustle but only a 10 minute walk into town. Unfortunately, there's a nightclub that blasts techno/rave music from about 2pm-2am all weekend and has no consideration for any of their guests. There's no way to escape the noise on their property. You can hear the music from this beach (which is down the hill and across the highway). I think under different management the place could actually be a beautiful hotel. The breakfast was 1 scrambled egg and a croissant - so fine - nothing extraordinary .. The day we arrived the hotel graciously sent a cab to get us, it was difficult to check In as not a single staff member spoke English (we're at fault for my speaking Spanish).. The room was very basic and unkempt and their were quite a few different bugs.. The first morning the drain didn't work so one shower flooded the bathroom and room, the second morning there was no water at all.. The beds were hard but sufficed. There is AC this was great and when their was water you could have a hot shower. :) We were given food vouchers for breakfast and two free drink vouchers for evening. We enjoyed a beer and pina Coloda off of a menu we were given when we showed our tickets.. We then had to pay for these on checking out.
