15 September 2024,First time staying at puteri wing after the major renovation & refurbishment .Been here few years back.The room is very classy,elegant white and gold classic english design. The lift, lobby.. it is a very pleasant view.The hotel itself is very clean... but the breakfast is a let down for the price paid. Nasi lemak was undercook.sausages was hard,rendang daging was so so ..for buttered vegetables they use cucumber instead of broccoli.limited choice of pastries..for me the breakfast is supposed to be the highlight for a hotel stay. Compared to The waterfront hotel where the price point is almost the same, rm350 and above for a room/night,the waterfront hotel have the best breakfast buffet so far in kuching. And then i want to talk about the hotel reservation & front office staff.when i checked in there was 3 of them.all female staff. The girl who was wearing hijab was well and properly groom with simple make up. Another middle age lady was ok but she is wearing an ill fitted blazer and it does not look good on her. The last one was messy. She look so pale with not even a lipstick on, hair is not comb back and sprayed properly.she has sour face, no smile and that shows her lack of hospitality as well.. not suitable to work as a frontliner at a well known hotel.Riverside majestic should consider to train their front office staff on how to dress well and atleast use some make up or even a lipstick so they dont look like someone who just wakes up from taking a nap. This front liners are the first impression guest will have of the hotel.

Overall, it was a pleasant stay at the hotel. Location is quite strategic. However, there are few things that deterred my stay: - 1. The pillows are way too soft. And no pillow selection (i.e. Memory or Latex pillow) 2. WiFi speed is slow and a lot of bad signal area - in the room area. 3. Elevator is very slow and vibrates. 4. Cabinet door has came off, causing the internal light to lid on. 5. After room service, they had forgotten to return the clean towels.

The hotel's rooms are spacious and well-appointed, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast provided also taste good. Overall, I had a very enjoyable stay at the Puteri Wing and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient base for exploring Kuching.
