BEST HOSTEL IN HUALIEN”
R A Guesthouse is superb! I will definitely give it 200 points if i could! Firstly, the room and private toilet were HUGE. Decor of the room and lobby looks really new and chic (industrial theme). Secondly, the location of the guesthouse is nearby the shopping district (Zhongxiao Street & Zhonghua Road) about 5mins away and 12mins away from Dongdamen Night Market. Thirdly, the staff is really really helpful. We have only met 1 staff Yu Yu during our 2-days stay there and he was so helpful. Starting from when we checked-in, he explained to us in detail how to get to the nearby shopping areas. Our room was on the 3rd level and there was no lift in the guesthouse. He gladly carried all four of our luggages to our room. I briefly mentioned it was my friend's birthday during the booking and they prepared a tiramisu cake!! I later heard from my Taiwan friend that it was from a famous cake shop!! Everything was PERFECT!!!! Will definitely come back again! Ohya, breakfast was delicious too!!

Very friendly and helpful counter staff and lady boss. They insisted to give me a box of very nice local biscuit as a token of compensation for dripping condensation water in my room. The dripping problem was rectified almost immediately. There was no inconvenience caused at all. Top customer service. The whole layouts and design of the guest house are very creative with every small details nicely planned. The room is very neat, clean and comfortable. I like the location of RA which is located in a quite neighboyrhood and yet is easily accessible to the night market, famous miao kou tea house easily. A small eatery outlet named Lao Cai Fan round the other lane sells a very nice noodle with thick gravy is a must try. Overall I am happy I made the right choice staying in RA Guest House for the 3 nights in Hualien last week before the typhoons visited Taiwan. I will be back here next time in my next visit in Hualien.

cute clean hotel in hualien city”
This little hotel (or b&b) is very well designed and clean, the double room was very comfortable. I love the self serve coffee area in the lobby where you can make your own drip coffee and tea. The lobby is also air conditioned so we can bring food back since some food places in hualien doesnt have aircondition. The hostess who was there on 7/24 was very friendly and circled many places to visit on a map for us.

Exceptional guesthouse”
This is the best guesthouse I have ever stayed in. It is located in a quiet old street just about ten minutes walk from the centre of the city. The receptionist was friendly, helpful and sincere. He took time to explain the places of interest and the favourite local restaurants and shops around. We enjoyed making our own coffee and having snack at the lounge. There were even free bikes for hire. The room was spacious for our family of four, spotlessly clean, chic and functional. There was no lift which was not a problem for us. We will definitely stay here again if we visit Hua Lien in future.

Clean and comfortable guesthouse ”
The guesthouse is located at the area where convenience for shopping and easy access to famous local foods. There are free bike for rental provided by the guesthouse. The map provided by the owner with the highlight of nearby attraction and food store is great. We stay at 4th floor with no elevator but as we carry light luggage, is not a problem for us. The room condition is clean and well maintained.

It was a pleasant stay. My children liked the guesthouse. Walking distance to night market is rather long but it is good to explore around if you do not mind walking a lot.

Great boutique hotel with clean room and self service coffee making machine. Nicely decorated in style. Lift not available but friendly staff ready to carry your luggage till the top floor. Bicycle rental available to explore nearby area.

Awkward reception but overall okay...”
Easily recognisable building situated in a very quiet alley. Location is okay, basically 10-15mins walk to any landmarks such as the night market, main food street or the A-zone. They operate like a backpacker hostel style where everything is rather self-service and there is no staff after 8pm. Reception staff was okay but conversations had a rather awkward vibe? Not sure why. The female staff was much better. However I will not stay at this place again if I do visit Hualien again. There are other better ones...

Very enjoyable stay”
We enjoyed our stay very much. There were loads of stuffed toys in the room that the kids loved. Easy walking distance to the pedestrian shopping area. Would like to stay here again.
