I spent an unparalleled two days here with friends, possibly the happiest time in three years! Reinvigorate trip, first of all, the hotel is not far from the ancient town; it takes about 15 minutes by taxi to get to Tha Phae Gate. There is also a 7-11 nearby, but the hotel is separated from the bustling street by a huge green belt, so when you walk into the hotel lobby, the surroundings become very quiet, accompanied by zen music. The hotel staff welcomed us with a unique welcome drink of lotus root juice and cold towels with a faint scent of essential oils. My first impression of the hotel lobby is that it looks very much like the architecture in Ridley Scott's movies, with a religious mystique and a simple style in lines and colors, completely immersing guests in an ancient atmosphere. The hotel, like its sister property in the ancient town, has its design soul centered around a huge ancient tree, and ample light and space have been reserved around the tree. The huge black water pool reflects the tree's shadow. We booked a room on the second floor which has a large terrace, and the room provides various herbal teas and hand-brewed coffee. All the utensils, robes, etc., in the room are traditional handmade items, except for the teapot which is from Kinto; the other handmade items have natural colors, making one feel very comfortable. The room is mainly decorated in white, with most fabrics in their natural cotton and linen colors, and fresh flowers are scattered throughout the room. Next to the welcome card are a few freshly picked gardenias, giving off a refreshing fragrance. The bathroom toiletries are all from the hotel's private brand, with very natural and high-end scents, especially the small blocks of essential oil soap, which I also purchased as souvenirs when leaving. We really enjoyed the afternoon tea at the hotel; we chose a double set of any six items, which actually was just right for three people. We selected half sweet and half savory flavors, and each snack was originally designed by the hotel, featuring local characteristics. The food containers were also thoughtfully matched, showcasing an ancient and natural style; every detail is impressive. For dinner, we chose the hotel restaurant, which comes highly recommended. The prices are slightly lower than those at Michelin restaurants in the city, and the ingredients used in each dish are evidently natural and organic, with some sauces and seasonings being very rich and exquisite. The breakfast spreads included jams made from fresh fruits, and the portions for dishes like beef are very generous. My friend chose a red wine from Hua Hin in Thailand, which was quite affordable considering its quality. Don't miss the hotel bar's buy-one-get-one-free offer; the signature cocktails are very refreshing and tasty! Breakfast is ordered a la carte. We asked the server which dishes in the Asia section are recommended, and they proudly suggested all of them. In fact, every main dish we ordered was delicious. We didn't try the Western breakfast section, but the Asian part was indeed all tasty! The hotel staff must really love this place; everyone beams with pride and enthusiasm when introducing the hotel to guests, and this passion is contagious to the guests. In short, the two-day trip was perfect, with only one small flaw: the music from a nearby bar was quite loud at night and could be heard in the room until late. It may not happen every night, but if someone happens to have trouble sleeping, they should prepare earplugs. We didn't mind this too much.
