The Burgus hotel in Braga was one of the very nice surprises of my Portugal trip. The location is very nice, clean and cozy. We enjoyed our stay very much so that we decided to stay another night! The room was fantastatic with a big bathtub. Breakfast was ok but not so much choices and nothing special. We totally recommend this hotel for a trip to Braga if one has a car. As the hotel is outside the city center, it's better to have a car which you can park for free at the hotel.

We only stayed one night but loved every minute! Everything was beautiful , the location magic, staff very friendly , room a very high standard, wifi excellent , breakfast overlooking the scenery & pool was amazing. So nice to stay at a place where you get to meet the owners & hear the story behind the venue. We can not recommend it highly enough !
So basically this is pretty much next to Bom Jesus which is beautiful in every regard. That is the saving glory of this hotel. However the rooms are very dated. It seems almost like a dorm/hostel type and the bathrooms are old. Very old. If its just for one night lile me then it isnt too bas. Anything more than that you are better off saving and staying at a hostel.
Wonderful location! Hotel is in city centre (5 mins walk from Café Astória where u can have a nice dinner if u arrive at Braga on a Sunday like me). Turn left and walk for 20 mins u have d train station (I used Braga as base for day trips to other cities). Turn right and walk for 25 mins u have Braga Parque (shopping mall with good eateries).

This is a nice hotel for traveler who want to stay in clean and green forest. The old church " bom jesus" is very closed to this hotel. Even though it is hard to reach this hotel by walk, we can go without a big trouble if we take a bus and a tram.

Beautiful home, clean room and bathroom. Very helpful owner. The only issue was the barking dogs at night, which kept us up, even with earplugs. Therefore, we had to close the windows even though it was quite warm, which made it hard to sleep. Other than that, everything was great!

great stay at an historical house, fitted with traditional furniture but with all the basic requirements for a very pleasant stay. The room are very large and the breakfast was superb. Very quiet. Warm welcoming from the owner and staff, all very friendly and talkative . Very close to the city historical centre, a must see. Definitely recommend .
