Where to stay in Clare County
Clare County hotels & accommodations

The restaurant staff when we arrived were not very attentive and in one instantance not very nice. We had been traveling all day and just wanted a casual dinner and drinks. The restaurant was not busy and a couple of folks we were with had to wait almost 25 minutes to get a drink and dinner seemed very challenging for them. Breakfast staff in the morning were very nice...

We stayed here the first and last days of our Ireland vacation. Our flight arrived at 8:30 AM, and they were able to accommodate an early check-in so that we could shower and nap before heading out for the day. This hotel room was in an older section of the hotel, so the shower took a little bit of figuring out, but it was fine. The tub seemed old, so I bathed my 21...

The atmosphere and cleanliness impressed. Rooms newly decorated and very tasteful! Lovely atmosphere in bar and dining room in morning. Didn't get to try the wildflower restaurant as was closed mid week but will definitely try it next time. Other good pubs and restaurants within a short walk! Smell in bathroom was only minor glitch and as more rooms ate to be refurbish...

Absolutely beautiful room with a bay window overlooking the coast. The staff were all very kind and attentive. Enjoyed the interior space and property with castle next door. Took the evening free tour to learn about the history of the area. Will definitely return.

Let me get to the most important part of this review: Be sure to have dinner at their bar/restaurant. Don't miss it!!! They give you a coupon to taste a half-pint of the local beer, but that's only the start. We had the best meal of our entire trip in Ireland at this restaurant, which was totally unexpected. It was the second best steak I've ever had in my life (the be...

Mike and Mary could not have done more to make our stay memorable and enjoyable. Warm, friendly, informative and extremely helpful. Would recomend The Courtyard in a heartbeat and would definitely stay again. Ideal location for Ennis, Adare, Limerick and, of course, Bunratty Castle. Access to Shannon Airport quick and easy.

Innkeepers are very friendly and full of great information and tips about the area. Plus they are great chefs-breakfast was excellent. The inn is very clean and tidy. Great location for a trip to the Cliffs of Moher and/or Aran Islands. Plus convenient to lively pubs in Doolin - the Capital for traditional Irish music in Ireland!

We were touring Ireland and decided to stay in Doolin for one night. Our accommodation couldn't have been better. The host was very welcoming, the room was very comfortable and watching the stars at night was fantastic. The location was excellent for us due to the fact that it was secluded. We loved the live music in the local pub too. We would definitely recommend thi...

It was a very special experience for our little bubba to stay in a tent. Overall it is very nice. However the cover of the chairs was quite dirty with many spots. Kitchen and toilets were clean. The cot was arranged for our baby but was in really bad condition. They tried to put four pillows as subsitute for mattress but it was too soft and uneven for bubba to sleep ...

It was a really nice stay! The price is far beyond decent, the room is cozy and clean, so does the shower room- shower gel, shampoo, hand wash gel. The bed and room is nice decorated by owner's style, the bed was comfy and warm. Also a lot of effort of folding the towels as a heart between two swans. There are four options of the breakfast,my salami was tasty and fresh...

It was very good experience to stay there even though we spent only 1 night. Our room was on the top floor and we could simply see the Inisheer and the Cliffs of Moher just in our room. Moreover, we were really impressed by their hospitality. Our car had a puncture which our trip could've been messed up but the hotel staff kindly helped us where the nearest garage in D...

Everything worked; The parking of the car outside the hotel, the reception, the conteents of thee room. Actually we were in this little town of Lahinch just to visit the cliffs of the coast. It was beautiful enough but aactually it is possible to find the similar and even more beautiful ones on other places. It was hardly worth the trip!

It’s an excellent choice if you’re looking to stay locally around the Cliffs of Moher. The staff is very friendly and offer great ideas for exploring this most wonderful area of Ireland. . The one caveat is the hotel is on the main road into town. If you are a light sleeper you may want to request a room on the backside of the building. That being said, I’ll be coming...

We stayed at the Bunratty Castle Mews B&B for two nights as a base for a day trip to the Rock of Cashel and Cahir Castle and for the banquet at Bunratty Castle. The B&B was walking distance from the castle which allowed us to enjoy our evenings at Bunratty and Durty Nelly's all the more. Our host, Dolores was fantastic! She welcomed us and made sure that we had ever...

Stopped in to Kilkee as part of a trip along Ireland's west coast and stayed overnight at the Bay View. Although I wasn't there long (arrived late and was off the next morning), I had a nice stay. The room was comfortable and well appointed, although a little on the small side. The hotel was also well positioned looking down to the gorgeous bay from the dining room. A ...

O'Connor's Guesthouse had an ideal location in the heart of the lovely village of Doolin. Our family of four found our room to be clean, quiet, and comfortable. This was the largest room and bathroom that we have ever seen in a B&B. All of us thoroughly enjoyed our breakfasts, and my daughters were thrilled to see horses just outside our window. Charming and top-notch!...

The O'Brien's are perfect hosts--helpful, gracious, and charming. These folks know how to run a B&B! Our family of four had a lovely last night of our Ireland trip here, and a delicious and filling breakfast with fresh baked scones and brown bread. The house and rooms are spacious, clean, and quiet. The location is very close to Bunratty castle and about a ten minute d...

Beautiful location with views across farmland, over Saint's Island and across from County Clare to County Limerick. B&B itself has been beautifully decorated and furnished with great attention to detail. This is a family business which is friendly, helpful and cordial in every instance. The house and the owner is nice, location is a bit far and you have to have the car to get there otherwise it will be too difficult. The food was lovely and I really the hospitality however the activities that were mentioned in the website such as Horse riding or picking the fresh hens will not available anymore.

This is, by far, one of the best places we have ever stayed at! Lorraine is a top class hostess and very sweet. We stayed in room #4 and it is the most beautiful room with a huge bed, jacuzzi, small pieces of chocolate in the room every day including coffee and tea. She even cleaned the room every morning and made the bed! The breakfast was gorgeous! Full Irish break...

I had a disastrous arrival to Ireland - falling in the car rental parking lot and getting bloody, battered and bruised, even knocking out a tooth! The kind owner graciously awaited our late arrival after visiting doctors, and provided a list of dentists for us. The room was charming, modern amenities with gorgeous antique furniture, a striking combination. I would b...
