This hotel is 3star only in name rooms have lovely views of Atlantic Ocean, restaurant food lovely, and the best breakfast in Bundorm. A big mention about the owners and staff John , Marion and jerry could not do enough to make your visit a a enjoyable experience.
We had a wonderful stay at The Abbey hotel. They upgraded us to a suite because we arrived a bit earlier than expected. The location is out of this world. I would highly recommend The Abbey to anyone going to Donegal Town.
I did a last minute booking for my Mum and myself -what a treat-the Reception staff were excellent especially when we asked for a twin having been allocated a double which was an absolutely gorgeous room. Mc Gettigans (hotel bar/restaurant) was lively with really friendly, efficient staff -food was varied and good value. The location is great for touring Donegal-defini...
The stay was fine. I booked a double room and single room as my mother was travelling with us. The only gripe I would have is that in the single room, the mirror had detached from the wall and was propped up. Out of courtesy, it would have been good to have informed us of this beforehand. The view from our double room overlooked a corrugated roof but for the amount...
I have already advised your Reception but the one thing that lets this hotel down is the banging of doors. I had a really long journey & just wanted to get my head down for an hour or 2 but this was impossible due to the constant door banging every 5 seconds. (I counted). Such a shame as every thing else is fine. Clean room, pleasant staff and after having 2 breakfas...
We really enjoyed our two nights in this hotel notwithstanding the "cons" above. It is of a very good 3 star standard and was excellent value for money at the price. The staff are very concerned at the problem they had with drunk people and I am confident remedial action will happen. It is a great base for touring Donegal.
Nice bar areas in hotel and staff v helpful. Most comfortable bed I’ve slept on in any hotel.
My wife and i stayed in this guest house for two nights and absolutely loved it. We felt extremely welcome by the hosts and we're very well looked after. The food was delicious we would recommend to pancakes, bacon and maple syrup! The location was perfect for us because it was peaceful and quiet but only a quick drive into donegal town. We will definitely be back to s...

went for a wedding realy great hotel staff very helpful breakfast good
I will have no doubt in recommending this place to others. Everything lived up to the ratings. I was delighted to get a good cup of coffee which I couldn't find anywhere else in County Donegal. Bravo - keep up the high standard and welcoming staff.
good value for the money
The rooms are a good size and very comfortable. Everything was polished and immaculately clean and well presented. Breakfast was good sized and the whole place is well organised. It is right in the middle of town and the eateries around it are the best best
Good fun!!
Great hotel. Right in middle of town. Parking close by - hotel pays for parking. Pleasant helpful staff. Big clean rooms. Very good food, reasonably priced. Have no hesitation recommending this hotel - 4 star in our opinion.
Amazing stay, will be back. Addition if spa or pool would add to the luxurious surroundings
Quaint
We chose the Milford Inn because of the central location in North Donegal convenient for sightseeing and visiting beaches etc. During our short stay we had to make an unexpected trip to Glasgow because of family illness. We were not charged for the night when we didn't stay. We found that the hotel was only 1 hour from Derry airport. Food and service in the Inn were...
Stayed two nights, got a newly refurbished room, nice and modern, staff were great! Breakfast was ok location is excellent. The hallways, dining area, and lounge were all really dated and smelt old carpet and furniture would have been new back in 1970. All in all a great place to stay if you get a newly refurbished room as reception mentioned that not all rooms have be...
We had a family room, with good wifi, good friendly service and a beautiful hot breakfast every morning. The hotel bar and restaurants food and cocktail menu was superb. Bus stops right outside the hotel for travelling to letterkenny & Derrry. Staff are egar to help. I also fully recommend crana stables.
Could not have been better great in every way
Great nostalgic hotel
no mini fridge in room.
As we had travelled with my 80 year old Gran and a child with Special Needs this venue was so ideal. I was totally blown away with regards to space and comfort not forget to mention cleanliness. Their was excellent views from the windows. It would definately be a pplace I would return to in the morning.
