Emilia-Romagna hotels & places to stay

Great hotel, great service, great breakfast. Bare in mind, location is 25 minutes by car from city. There is only one local bus line (line 93) to city centre, and it only transits few times a day! Awfull! Once, it did not show up at all. We ended up using taxi every time, making our trip a lot expensive. Only use this hotel if you have your own means of transportation.

Ideal location near station and market and pedestrianised old city full of interesting sights and sites! Found a great restaurant to eat (Donatelle) serving the best pork I have ever eaten in huge portions for 8 euros. Hotrle room immaculate aned well equiped thouigh the kettle was not automatic at least it had one. Wonderful bathroom and very comfortable bed. Be aware that the goodies by the kettle are highly expensive and not free though the tea and coffee is. A shame there was no milk or coffee machine or hot chocolate provided for the price and no free biccies either. No other hotel facilities like a pool or exercise room. perhaps they should invest in something in the basement area.TV only 32 inches and no armchair in room so compared to English and Welsh hotels not as well equpped hence the 3 stars for value. Breakfast varied and good with both continental and scrambled and boiled eggs too. Still being so close to the station and the best parts of town meant it was fine for our needs.Very helpful staff on front desk though why we had to ask for extra shampoo with three of us in a room was a mystery. Surely 4 star hotels should ensure there is enough for everyone?

the una bologna hotel really earns its four-star rating. it is a modern hotel with with great design that conveys style and personality. while all the furniture seems brand new, perhaps the carpeting in our room requires renovation. standard rooms are very comfortable. the bathrooms are spacious and feature a nice bathtub and amenities. lighting is great. the room comes with tv that offers prgramming from multiple countries. smoking rooms are available on request. one of the best features of the hotel is its location just across the street from bologna central train station and a couple blocks away from bologna bus depot. after very good breakfasts in other italian hotels, we were a little bit disappointed by the offer here. staff were always professional and fluent in english. in general, we were very pleased with our choice!

Great staff very friendly and helpful, at the reception and the restaurant. Beds are confortable and room is very clean. We had a triple room with kingsize bed and sofabed. Even the sofa bed was really good. But a little bit small but you can take that for granted. The price is very cheap compared to the rest of the hotels. The pool is very big and great. The breakfast is also good enough and they do their best to get you anything you ask for. Thanks!

Prompt and very friendly check in. I was lucky my room was available in the morning after 10am and they were so nice to let me use it straight away. The room was standard for one person but had a double bed in it so presume this one is mainly used for solo travellers. There was plenty of room for me. Bathroom and shower were a bit tiny but nice set up and unless you are an obese person you should navigate there easily. Everything was clean and nicly decorated. No tea or coffee facilities though, only mini bar Bathrobe and sleepers are also provided. Sheets were nice and soft. No English channels on tv as far as I could see but no issue if there is so much to do outside. Short walk to the beach. I decided to go Spiaggia Del Sole (#86-87) tjat seemed a bit nicer to the one next to the recommended by the hotel Bagno Guilia 85 that. Both seems to be fine and can't really go wrong over there. Bars, restaurants and other shops are just around the corner. And plenty of busy streets for strolling especially in the evening. As the hotel is just off the main street it is in a quiet and very convenient location. Breakfast served overlooking the pools was sufficient and standard continental affair with a few small hot options. Pool were lovely to use and relax. Hardly any kids and only small ones since the hotel has special hours for them to swim. So you can be sure it will be a relaxing atmosphere at other times. Wifi worked fine anywhere in the hotel. Getting to the hotel from the airport by public transport can be a challenge as there is no easy way for pedestrians to cross a busy road in front of the airport so as many others I found my own way. Then finding a bus stop in town was not difficult but it was along a road with no pavement for most of the time. So if you have large bags definitely take a taxi.

This is a nice hotel with clean, modern rooms. It's a little out of the center of town but close to the highway and airport. For my purpose (business) ideal. Staff were very friendly and the breakfast was pretty good with a nice selection. Price wasn't too bad either. Parking readily available right outside or if you prefer they have underground parking as well (that costs thought). A nice feature all hotels should have: free WiFi!! Definitely can recommend for anyone who isn't desperate to stay in the centre of town.

Almost everything in Bologna was booked during my travel dates so I ended up staying here, which is outside the city. It was also a bit too expensive for what it was, but I think that reflects the prices in Bologna at this time. The rooms were very clean and the staff was friendly. They helped me with a lot of questions. Also they have ample car parking and I had rented a car for part of my stay. There was always some sort of conference going on while I was there, so this is a popular hotel for that. Breakfast was very average. The one thing I did like was fresh squeezed orange juice every morning. Train connections are infrequent, looks like hourly, but there are buses to Bologna. Just give yourself enough time to get where you need to go. And if you have a car and intend to visit other places in Emilia Romagna, this is a great location as it's close to the A1 highway.

Our stay was good. There were nice gardens and smoking area at back of hotel. Front exit of hotel is straight into high density people area but you quickly find your way to quieter places. Lots of restuarants close by and easy walking distance to Old Town attractions. All the trademarks of Italian culture and commerce are here. Bologna isn't a cheap place for dining. Couldn't find a supermarket close by.

Free parking right in front of the hotel and we could even see our car from the balcony. We stayed in a Junior Suite- love the double bed and showers, were extremely comfortable & relaxing! And the ever changing LED lights adds on to the romantic ambience! Plenty of walking space even with our 2 large luggages. We enjoyed Hotel Lungomare but sadly, not Cesenatico. Did not see it at it's best as it was low season (We were there on a Mon night in late Oct).

We spent 12 nights at this lovely hotel (2nd time booked this hotel). We enjoyed our staying - very relaxed with great experience! The location is very good, 5 minutes’ walk either to the train station or to the centre with all the shops and restaurants. Very good size room, clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast. Really like the idea of simply cocktail light dinner in the evening. Swimming poor on top of the hotel roof is always another option if one of the days not so much interested to spend at the beach. The staff are fantastic: friendly, kind and professional. Ines - the Hotel Manager was helpful! So as her team - thanks to Nermina and her other colleagues, they all must be mentioned – very kind and wonderful staff. As always, we really enjoyed the hotel and had a wonderful break in Riccione. We definitely recommend this hotel without any hesitation.

We had a great time in Italy. Nice and kindly staff. morning breakfast was little bit poor. need to be everything prepared. nothing there milk as usually, egg or other breakfast staff. should be **** hotel but this was the minus for that. always ask for milk or cofee. other minus - not much people in there speaks English :). on the breakfast specially. lady cannot talk but it's important I thing.

Art nouveau hotel. Old world classy. Comfy bed, big bathroom. Very clean. ...Internet speed? Not so good, it runs less than 1G. ....My only real complaint is as regards the advertised free breakfast, as its not free. Apparently you have to book the super duper suite to get that....I considered it false advertising, but not worth fighting over....just beware as they did not deliver on that advertisement....

I was very happy about my choice of this hotel. Staff is very helpful, room are not very big but very clean and comfortable. We had room with sea view on the second level, in spite of a lot of activity's outside, in side of room was very quite. Breakfast had a lot of choice for any fussy eater. Also it was very nice of the staff to offer free water when we were leaving to take with us and happy hour in hotel with free glass of wine

I recently stayed here for only one night, if I return I would definitely stay here again. Alberto Notarie is located right off the main piazza in the historic center. I walked there from the train station in about 15 minutes. I stayed in a beautifully furnished double room, quite large for a typical double room. The room had a desk, sofa, 3 windows, 2 closets, and the bed was very comfortable. The room was more like a suite. Great value for the money. Bath was nicely updated. Breakfast was above average, I made soft boiled egg, pastries were fresh and delicious and the yogurt tasted like it was homemade. Excellent breakfast. You cannot beat this hotel for value, comfort and location. I would gladly recommend this hotel.
