Traveling to Ireland? Find Kerry County hotels

I stayed here with my daughter during a short trip to see the Ring of Kerry. Siobhaun and her team treated us like family and could not have done more for us. We were made to feel welcome straight away and the team paid close attention to details, such as offering us extra teabags with our tea in the morning in case it wasn't strong enough, and giving us a table away from the band for dinner so we could chat. They even replaced the mattress on our bed when my daughter complained it was lumpy. What other hotel would do that? The hotel itself is lovely and clean, and very well located only a 15 minute walk from the town centre. There is ample parking and the food in Casey's restaurant is lovely and all local. We will definitely stay here again!

My husband and I stayed at the Sneem Hotel last friday 13th and Sat 14th of July. From the moment my feet walked over the treshold of the Sneem Hotel , I knew in my gut this was going to be a wonderful break for us both. The fantastic kind and organic welcome we recevied from the receptionist made me feel we were going to be spoilt and this was so so well received and appreciated too. Where do i start,,, our upgraded delux bedroom with a huge balcony gave us a beautiflul view of the lake and mountains, and a sense of peace and tranquility. Luxurious bed and room fitted out so modernly and an amazing space to for us both to unwind in. The food was exceptional i had the tastest steak ive ever tasted. The Staff for me is always very important, and they were outstanding, so extremly kind and attentive to our needs. Sneem village is a little gem of a place to visit and walking distance from hotel. Kerry people are so so friendly and you feel so very welcome. I

The hotel is excellently positioned for access from the airport, Tralee town and Killarney town. It has superb parking, scenic mountain views from the bedroom and very helpful reception staff. The food is very well cooked and presented and has a large varying menu to choose from. It has excellent facilities for guests and it's beauty parlour facilities are to be recommended.

Breakfast served to us on the morning of 15th June was literally thrown at us. My breakfast was a"blob of scrambled egg and a lump of smoked salmon" no garnish (lemon , parsley, tomato). The scrambled egg my husband had was placed on two uncut slices of unbuttered bread. We asked for toast which was presented to us one slice on top of another and again uncut. There was no effort whatsoever to present food nicely. The food was so badly presented that it nearly turned by stomach.

We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel's charm. First of all, the location is perfect - right in the middle between the town center and train station. Killarney is quite small so you can reach everything by foot anyway. The exterior of the hotel already screams classic luxury. The lobby/reception area is quite small but there's enough space to relax. The room itself looks old but is still very beautiful and up to modern standards. The main assets of the room are the whirlpool bathtub and the huge bed (you might only get this in a 5 star hotel). Service was very good (our hair dryer was broken and it was replaced instantaneously). There is also a SPA and swimming pool but unfortunately no kiddie pool. BUT the BEST part of this hotel is the dining area: sleek and artistic interiors, dark but pleasant and the food was GREAT. Will definitely come back.

Such nice people run this B&B. We had a spacious room with great sheets and towels and other nice amenities like tea and coffee in our room. Walking distance to parks, a museum, tourist center and shops. Breakfast was included and was wonderful. Check in was easy and the staff were all friendly and very helpful. Drop off luggage and go to the parking garage just a few minutes walk away for best pricing. Great value for the money will definitely stay again.

Would recommend staying at this hotel while in Killarney. Rooms were a good size and very clean. It's about a five minute walk to the centre and a short drive to the lakes. You have use of pool etc in the hotel next door which was empty both times we used it. Overall a pleasant stay and would return again when back in Killarney. Breakfast next morning was to a good standard. No faults at all to mention.

We stayed for two nights at Randles hotel with our 9 month old son and very much enjoyed our stay. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and the staff in the dining area were friendly and attentive and very accommodating with our baby (providing a high chair, ensuring he was comfortable). The staff at the front desk were helpful and the night manager gave us some great travelling tips. We had a room overlooking the mountains and it was stunning

We were not happy with our stay in this hotel, we had parking under the hotel for the first two nights of our stay, then on the friday night we had to drive around for an hour and a half in the rain beofre parking became available in the town, then we had to walk back to the car in the morning at 8:30 (also in the rain) to get a new parking ticket. The hotel staff told us there was nothing they could do about this. The first night we ate dinner in the Hotel Bar and Grill, the meal was well below the standard of edible. The lamb was very overcooked when we asked for medium and the burger was not cooked properly with raw mince in the middle. No staff at any stage asked us if the meal was okay, just to mention a few things, we had to walk out. There were other problems also including no wifi for the first few nights.

we chose this hotel because of its easy location on the road from the ring of kerry on the outskirts of killarney. the location was a plus, as the outlook from our room fitted in with the beautiful natural features of the killarney national park. the hotel was very classy and certainly catered for upmarket clients with lovely bar and resaurant. staff were helpful, though just a little aloof. they gave us assistance getting our luggage up the stairs to the second floor.

Due to a bit of a mixup in our booking, The Ross Hotel was already closed for the season, so our reservation was transferred to their five-star sister property, The Killarney Park Hotel. For the confusion, they also upgraded us to a Junior Suite, which was a truly lovely room. HUGE bathtub, with a TV to watch while you soak, lovely sitting room with fireplace, big windows and a balcony overlooking the gardens. The service here was EXQUISITE. I can hardly remember having had better service at any hotel anywhere in the world, and I've been to a lot of them. The bed was large and luxuriously comfortable. Literally my only complaint was that the comforter was not down, it was some other thick, heavy material that did not breathe well at all. So, unfortunately, even though the bed was the best we slept in during our whole time in Ireland, we didn't sleep very well due to feeling stuffy and overheated by the comforter. Still, no matter, the breakfast spread made everything worth it. I've never eaten so many croissants and biscuits and cheese in my life! My boyfriend was eating their smoked salmon (lox) and he said it might have been the best he'd ever had. Wonderful experience overall.

I took a friend away, as part of her Birthday present, I was very happy to drive up , parked the car just in front, as we had heavy bags, the staff were so kind ,and the room was just lovely with that beautiful Kerry view. We went to the bar for a drink,just to find our way around, .I asked a few of the staff what was on that night, as we wanted to go out,they were very helpful. I just wish I knew more things that we could have done. I myself have spend many years around Kerry as my Dad was a Kerry man. I am just thinking of how many people stay at the hotels and would love to know all that they could do, I was not told ,only when I had to ask.. Thank You Marion.

From the word go, it was perfection, and it shows from start to finish. The staff here are genuinely warm and professional. Nothing is out of place. Its spotlessly clean, well maintained, retains its traditional character. A wee tip. If you are one of that fortunately dwindling number of smokers, and you can afford it, get a superior room with the balcony on it. Thats because all rooms are non smoking. What else.....theres an outdoor Jacuzzi and a fitness centre. All in all, its the best I've stayed at, and the prices reasonable too.

Booked the hotel based on the Internet description and options. Choice probably due to having been baited and lured by the purportedly "4 Star" ranking. Did not pay sufficient attention to weasel clauses and, what on checking in was verbally told, were bookings actually depending on the elusive concept of availablity. No parking, being offered the choice of "upgrading" to a "better room" which "just now" has become available, three beds in a separate single room booked for an accompanying female friend of ours - surely were disconerting, to understate my personal feelings and which I know from experience is not very condicive to good hospitality business. Location and breakfast excellent, though.
