It is a very good place to stay if you want to spend a lot of time at Vinpearl park or play golf. There are a lot of things to do for children: amusement park, waterpark, aquarium, games center, etc. All of it is included in the room rate. Good point about these places was that there weren't many people, especially comparing to Vinpearl park in Nha Trang. So you just come to any roller coaster or water ride and without waiting use it as many times as you want. The rooms were ok, comparing to five-star hotels in other countries rather simple. But everything was clean and new. The prices at the bar are overpriced. The restaurant food was delicious and of a large variety. One of the best locations in Phu Quoc island: beautiful territory, very nice beach area and a great-great pool. Not far from hotel is Turtle island known for its coral reef. I recommend going there for snorkling.

Based on the postive experience of a friend we booked a three nights stay in Premium Deluxe Sea View. The room and bathroom are huge with an enclosed balcony and an amazing view about the resort and the ocean. Every single staff was very friendly and helpfull and was very pleased to make our stay as best as possible. The breakfast buffet was outstanding (incl. unlimited sparkling wine), the pool and beach areas are very beautiful as well. Only the spa and restaurants are comparing the the local available options quite "expensive" (but still cheap considering that you are actually staying in a 5 star resort), so better have your dinner or massage outside if you want to save some money ;-) we are definitely recommend this beautiful resort and would come back at any time!

What a great resort. The rooms are amazing, the spa is incredible and the staff are awesome. The setting is pure bliss and the hardest choices for you have to make is wether to lie by the pool or the beach. The only issue (very minor) is the range of food and the price. Breakfast however is brilliant. It’s still a new resort and as such is relatively quiet so get in before it becomes too crowded. It’s true when people say they didn’t want to leave because that is exactly how we felt. All round amazing and one of the best places we have ever stayed.

Nam Nghi is a brandnew five star resort located on a penisula in the north-west Phu Quoc. It features beach villas where you can enjoy both the sunrise and the sunset. The minibar is richly filled with soft drinks, chocolate, French wine, whiskey and Remy Martin, etc. It's also worth mentioning that the TV system not only includes HD cable TV channels, but also on-demand categorized HD Bluray movies which is something none of the other five-star hotels can offer in Phu Quoc. The pool area is ideally placed just in front of the private beach area and offers comfortable sunbeds and a pool bar. Opposite the penisula, only some 200 metres away, you will find an exclusive, beautiful small island with another private beach and a restaurant which is currently under construction. We would love to experience a dinner there once it's finished. The staff is service-minded and will make sure you'll get a pleasant stay and the uttermost of your vacation. This is the place to go whether you want a few days break from some work in Vietnam (like in my case) or you are going for some regular vacation. The resort has done an excellent job in preserving the original nature which gives an extra touch to the overall experience compared to other five star resorts on the island. The beaches in Phu Quoc are not like in Maldives or French Polynesia, but if you've already been at those resorts a number of times, Nam Nghi is the place to go for a divine excursion into the best of what Phu Quoc has to offer.

This hotel is absolutely gorgeous and it provides a comfortable, spacious and beautiful room to return to after a long day out. Really enjoyed our stay at Seashells especially because it’s located less than 5 mins away from the lively night market, making it really convenient. The only reason we gave staff 4 stars was because some of the concierge staff could not communicate with us and we had to wait a really long time for someone who could assist us to come around. However, while waiting at the hotel lobby, we were unexpectedly served free brownies which was a definite plus point. Also, the cable tv keeps hanging and therefore the facilities did not get 5 stars as well. In summary, this hotel is definitely worth the money and we’ll definitely look forward to staying here again if we return to Phu Quoc.

Having toured the entire island and looked at all the hotels. I can say that Shells is the best value for a 5 star experience. It is located near enough long beach that you can easily go there. But far enough away that the pollution and noise of the area does not ruin the tranquility of your holiday. The beach staff, cleaning staff, restaurant staff and general support staff are the friendliest I have ever experienced. The service is amazing. The reception and staff that help with cabs/bags were OK. (not great, but also not bad). The cost of food and drink at the resort is very competitive. So you can happily eat there a lot and enjoy the resort. Gym/Spa is also not bad. Great swimming pool. The breakfast was also good. The food is well prepared and clean. The resort is kept clean. They do a really great job. You can charter a private boat for 5 hours from An Thoi to see the islands in the south (get there by taxi and get the taxi to wait for you - tell them to turn off meter, you can arrange that with reception of the hotel). When you arrive at An Thoi - the boat seller will approach you and sell you boat services. We paid 1 million dong for the charted boat for 5 hours for 2 people to visit the 3 furthest islands.. They asked for 1.2 million dong originally. (remember haggle) They will give you life jacket and snorkelling gear. Bring your own snorkelling gear also works as theirs is a little dirty. Also 100% visit Rach Vem. We had seafood (1kg of seafood) hotpot there for 300k dong - great meal/clean. For everyone info - local price of coconuts is 10k dong, 20k in tourist areas. Don't pay more than 20k. Please haggle for everything you buy. Foreign tourists should pay the same as Vietnam tourists. The beach at the resort and the island beaches you will visit is probably all the beaches you need to visit. A lot of the others have rubbish on them. The beaches on the south islands are the best - emerald blue. The snorkeling was ok, not super great. Probably Ph

Well we did alot of ummming and arrrrring and read lots of reviews about where to stay. As far as i am concerned we picked the best!!! I couldn't fault it. When we arrived they up graded us straight away for no reason at all. We had a beach villa over looking the sea. It was a lovely room with everything you could wish for and more. It was very clean and the bed was extremley comfortable. The beach was very clean compared to others that we walked to. The food at the beach and pool bar was good nothing special but it was fine. If anything the food was a bit expensive but thats what you would expect when eating at the resort. I was un lucky enough to become ill whilst staying there(through no fault of the resort i must add) They were very good in arranging a doctor to come to my room on two occations. He was quick to arrive,very nice and cheap too. Breakfast was lovely with lots of choice. Staff very friendly and helpful. As someone else has said there isn't very much to do on the island and not alot at the resort so it was early nights for us too. However there were DVDS in the room which was a really nice touch. I would highly recommend the resort and if i were out that way again would stay there. We got a really cheap deal as well booking with Asia rooms. It was clean everywhere, the pool was lovely(sometimes a shortage of towls at pool and beach) They did treatments, massage etc which i didn't try but everyone that i spoke to that had tried really enjoyed. Loved it!!!!!

A bit far but there was airport shuttle to pick up. However, reception need to have more alignment. Before I arrive I need to repeat to pick up mom at airport several emails seem they confused and provide wrong information. We came from different destination and seem they have hard time to understand for pick up and booking requirement. Once my mom arrived at shuttle parking place but need to wait almost 30 mins for pick up. One we all arrive hotel , need to repeat same information and requirement again and again. Hotel room booked for 3 but slippers, water etc only provided for 2. The Villa is perfect for family with individual pool. We all like big public pool as well. Over all so great even expensive.

More than just a good 👍🏻 friendly staff, extremely friendly, they advised us to have dinner at The Crab House, yessss, I love it...!!!!!! Soooo good!!!!!!! Sooooo tasty!!!!!!! Worth a try!!!! After dinner, lets find Chuon Chuon Sky Bar. Here, you can have any kind of drink you want, coffee, smoothie, beer, wine with some snacks or even main course. I didn’t try the food but drink and it was good. People come here not because of the drink or food, but the view. Yes, it is rooftop bar. And you can see the wonderful Phu Quoc by night. My friends came there in the morning and showed me their pics, also too good to be one of the most attractive place for tourists. Few words about the resort, flowers/trees are planted and cared well. We enjoyed fresh air, beautiful view, sunrise and sunset everyday. So memorable! They opened the resort 5 months ago but they bring the best of the best service to customers so that’s why I give them 5 stars, if have more, I’m willing to give moreeee than that. They deserve it! For sure! 💯💯💯

I think this should be a 4 stars or 4.5 stars hotel Instead of 5 stars hotel. As for the location is a little bit far from the central or downtown of Phu Quoc. The hotel offer free shuttle to and from the airport for free. However, it will charge you money if you want to go to night market. We decided to rent a motorbike which is easier for traveling purpose and transportation. As for breakfast buffet is good with variety of choices. Swimming pool is very nice. They have two swimming pools. One is the infinity pool looking beyond the beach. I think there is a problem with the water line lead to my room. It has yellow stains for almost 2 days. For that reasons, I cannot give it a 5 stars. But overall, this hotel is great for vacation, relaxation or honeymoon.

this resort is almost where it needs to be. i made my reservations just a few days before i was to arrive. the only rooms they had available were very expensive. so, over two days, i kept looking for nice spots on the island, and could not find anything. then, luckily, on the night before i arrived at the island, a room popped up for around $165; a bargain compared to the same room a few days ago. i booked. everything about the hotel was very nice accept for the staff. the staff is very nice and trying very hard; however, if they want to be a 5 star or ever 4 star resort, they need more training and learn to speak basic english. i read this over and over not only on this site, but another site as well. i would not pay the prices they really want; however i would pay what i did pay. although i say the staff is trying very hard, that statement is a little misleading. the beach chairs are very close to the pool, and they have a few guys just standing around...no energy and no "pep". from the beach i ordered a beer, and it took about 30 minutes to arrive! at a real 5 star, or again 4 star resort, they are almost running with zest and enthusiasm to give you great customer service. at this resort, i would say about only 30% of the staff has that type of attitude. this, from my perspective is a management problem. they need to find people who are enthusiastic (or at least look/act the part...) and train them on high level hotel/resort customer service. if they do that,i think they can get the prices consistently they are seeking. finally, i would say the stretch of beach they have is pretty nice. i think they should invest in some water "toys" for families and individuals: tubes, snorkel stuff, sand toys etc. i did not see any of this type of stuff. oh, and i forgot to mention the food, it was very good. they give you two meals a day, for the price i paid, i thought it was a bargain! if i had paid the prices they really want, then, i would say it was just good.

Very good experience in sol beach house, will definitely recommend to others! Free airport shuttle service, smooth check in service, spacious, modern and clean room. All room types facing sea view (subject to avaibility). 5 stars international buffet breakfast from 7-10am. Free activities like yoga, aqua fitness, gym, ping pong available. Friendly staff to call taxi/book tour/even carry your luggage to your room! Beachside pool is amazing! I can stay in hotel all day long! Cons: the hotel situated 15minutes from the town area, around 140k dong/way. Free shuttle service is provided but in limited time schedule. My room was not supplied with towels but the staff responded fast to send me the towel. Overall it’s a very good stay experience. Will come here again!

When we booked Thien Hai Son online with Agoda, we intended to only stay there one night, as by local standards it is a little expensive. However after spending the first night there we very quickly decided that it was good value and asked if we could extend our stay for the rest of our time on Phu Quoc. This request, along with everything else, was attended to with a minimum of fuss and a warm friendly smile. The hotel has a variety of accomodation, including general hotel rooms and also beachside bungalows. The first night we spent in a "mountain view room" and the rest of our stay was on the opposite side of the hotel in a "seaview" room. The rooms were the same except for the view, but were spacious and airy with plenty of closet space. Perhaps one of the only criticisms I could make of this hotel, is that the the ensuite bathrooms are in need of renovation. However they are clean and functional and provided with a full array of toiletries. The hotel also has quite a large restaurant where the included buffet breakfast is served and that is also a delight, with a wide range of Eastern and Western dishes to choose from. I can recommend the seafood pancakes. However I think the best part of the hotel is the private beach, which is equipped with plenty of sun beds and some sporting equipment for the more energetic. The beach is also staffed during the day with attendants providing towels and generally maintaining the area. The beach area is also served by a seperate bar and cafe, which is an ideal spot to relax with a cold drink and watch the sun go down over the sea. The hotel also boasts a very large swimming pool. One other thing that may need to be considered by those with limited mobility, is that the hotel, although only three stories, does not have an elevator, so a ground floor room may be required. And at the end of a wonderful stay, the staff will happily transport you back to the airport for your outbound flight.

Lovely resort, was upgraded to a bungalow as the initial room I booked was overbooked. Was right on the beach. There was a little issue at the hotel but they fixed the mishap. Room was large and clean, liked the area location. Was a lovely resort. Staff on the beach need a little more training ok basic things in English like when I asked for salt and pepper or chilli sauce they didn’t understand and it was frustrating being a 4 star resort. Also they brought food but then forgot cutlery. So I had to chase these things.

After our 11 day trip through Vietnam, we couldn’t believe our luck when a chance booking brought us to the Mercure.. we literally walked through the hotel elbowing each other going 'We've done VERY well here..!'. The hotel is still new - the pool is gorgeous with a swim up bar and the beach is good. No issue getting loungers at either. The sea was calm, but they do have jellyfish signs. We only saw one (which was dead) so I don’t think they're that much of a problem and we swam several times a day with no issues. It’s shallow and you can walk out a good way before it comes up to your waist. The restaurant is good - we ate from the Vietnamese menu as the western on was twice the price. The food was always very well presented and portions very big! Breakfast is really good too - tonnes of choice and we ended up eating tonnes. For our 3 night stay, all of our food, beers, cocktails etc all came to under £90, so that was good value! The staff are good - I think we were almost the only ones there when we arrived so they were very attentive. We asked for chopsticks in the restaurant and they were pleasantly surprised I think! The hotel doesn’t organise day trips itself (yet) but the staff gave us a leaflet of local trips, and booked us onto one. We went down to the south of the island and went snorkelling and fishing. Highly recommended and cheap as $17 each. I think the operator was Johns tours (?). They pick you up at the hotel (probably a bit late as they’ll do all the other hotels in the town first as this is one of the most southern ones). The rooms were great - we had one of the bigger ones at the back of the complex, the bed was HUGE, and the bathroom great. Fab aircon, which was what you wanted after a day in the sun (note: factor 30 is NOT enough for English skin!), and we had a large balcony looking towards the sea. The weather was great - some clouds but enough sun to laze about in. It rained only once at night - so I recommend April!

The hotel itself bypasses all expectations. A truly wonderful experience - room, facilities, service and location are 5 star ++. Unfortunately, all is let down by F&B. Food is nothing short of a disaster. Over 6 nights we had one good dish because we persuaded the chef to prepare something different for us (they also did not charge...thanks). However, with the sole exception of breakfast the food was truly bad and on one occasion we ended up on the toilet for most of the night. Also, if you like Schweppes Tonic with your Gin, well, it may be on the menu but since the hotel signed an exclusive with Pepsi you can only have Everest Tonic - perfect if you like it sweet :-( For a truly 5 star hotel.....hmm. c'mon JW, I know you can do better. We are looking forward to going back...once the F&B gets sorted.

I brought my parents who are 70 and disabled to this hotel and we had an absolutely wonderful time! You can take buggy to anywhere in the resort and the staffs are amazingly friendly The best thing is you really feel how they care about you. I am a vegetarian and my sister is gluten intolerant. The staffs showed us the things we could eat on the breakfast buffet on the first day. My sister even had gluten free cupcakes and bread everything. Definitely the best resort I have had stay in. Thank you"

We really enjoyed our stay here! The location directly on the beach is wonderful! We had wonderful romantic sunsets, clean beach, beautiful garden, comfortable sun-lounger. Everything very cheesy beautiful. But: At the breakfast they ran out of bread and eggs some time. The hotel could take more care about the furniture (spots on the divan,...). AC was not working once - and repaired in between 2 hours. The location, the view, the beach compensate for the not perfect meals. NO muggy smell! The best: 5 minutes walk on the beach and you arrive at the best bar of the whole island: Rory`s! It´s run by an Australien couple. They serve great cocktails and it is the only place to stay longer than 24:00 pm. Also the atmosphere there is perfect (direct on the beach, campfire, chill out-chairs, etc...)

Ancarine beaxh Resort is one of the best hotels I have stayed. The staff is so super friendly and also the manager of the hotel. We had a deluxe room with sea view and the room was so beautiful and very clean. The hotel is directly at the beach and the beach is so great. Further, the breakfast is perfect! You can chose your omelette or scrambled egg as it will be directly cooked. There is a huge choice of fresh fruits also. We stayed for dinner also at the hotel and the food is very good. We can recommend to try the seafood hot pot. So delicious! Further, the hotel has some dogs which are so cute and it makes your stay unforgettable as it is all very nature based and animal friendly. Just perfect for people (us included) who likes nature and animals :) To sum it up, the hotel is soooo great and you will not regret it if you book it, actually it’s better than described. We had an unforgettable stay there and will come definitely again!

Beautiful rustic style cottages just like we wanted. Clean. Lots of beautiful vegetation and tropical fruits trees. Very well maintained site. The infinity pool is superb. Book a superior cottage, it’s worth it. We like walking on the beach and Thanh Kieu has the best beach setup with lots of sand. Other hotels have practically no sand space on the beach. I would come back here anytime! Loved it!!! Cons: - the resto service is lousy. Eat Vietnamese choices only. They have no idea how to cook Caucasian dishes and charge expensive for crap. Walk out the hotel down a bit and there are better restos. The Spice House in the Cassia next door is amazing. - be careful with the tours proposed by the hotel guy that walks around. He proposed a tour of 10 spots of south Phu Quoc for 2,500,000 Dongs. But we had already secured a private taxi for the same for 600,000 dongs. - if you don’t like mosquitoes, this type of hotel is not for you.

It was our 1 year anniversary and we loved our stay! The resort is nice and clean. The staff are super friendly and always smile at you. We chose Premium Delux Ocean View because it has a bathtub. I recommend this room if you like to be in the tub to relax. These rooms are located on the backside of the hotel (from the beach) so you may hear the noise from the street but it has the best view of the resort. The pool was spacious just like the pictures. We looooved it! It can be crowded during the happy hour but it was really nice to be in the pool and looking at the sunset (one of the best I've ever seen) and drink beer. Breakfast was the best!!! The coffee, pho, fresh veggies, and fruits... There were many selections, a good mix of Western and Asian cuisine, and also hot and cold. Wish there were more local food though. Thanks to Brian, Kai, and Dino for taking good care of us and recommending good places to visit. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to go back there again!

The best hotel experience we had so far. Premium quality in the whole resort combined with super friendly and proffessional staff. Amazing indoor and outdoor playground for the children. The only negative thing we had was regarding the ventillation of the restaurant. You walk in and you could see the steam and smoke from the kitchen stands where they prepare the food. The smell is so bad that you can even feel it in the lobby two floors above. We had to change clothes and have a shower after every time we ate there. If this is fixed, it is truly an all 5 star hotel.

Pro: -clean -staff is friendly despite they cant speak fluent English but still tried their best to help us in arranging everything, including tour and taxi. - love the environment - private beach - best sunset view -separate bathtub and shower - they food taste good - quiet and private - provide free airport 2 ways transfer. Cons: - breakfast variety not much but taste good. - a bit distance from the busy area but it doesn't bother us as taking Mylin (green color taxi) or Saigon (yellow color) taxi is fairly cheap. Getting to the town cost around 50-60k dong. Overall we had a great time at Anja. Will definitely come back next time~

My review depends on what you want in a resort. If you want a remote location away from all the crowds, towns, restaurants, etc. then Sea Sense is the place for you. It's on the northern part of the island and if you want to go into Duong Dong you must take a taxi each way, which costs about 150,000 dong or $6 dollars. The hotel offers one shuttle into town at 2 PM and one return shuttle at 4 PM. These times are nor conducive to eating lunch or dinner in town and forces you to eat at the resort. The food at the resort is tasty, but nothing great. If you stay, book the Beachside Villa and not the Sea View Villas. They're located up on the hillside and though they have a nice view, you still must walk down to the ocean. The Beachside Villas are right on the ocean and offer great views and access to the beach. The rooms themselves are very comfortable and well air-conditioned. The solar heated hot water is very annoying since it's very hard to adjust the temperature, and even when you're able to do so, the water pressure is so low it's like being under a dripping faucet. The staff works very hard to please you and do a really good job despite the tyrannical management by the owners. The owners are truly difficult and I witnessed them yell at staff when guests are around. Sea Sense would be a Class A resort if the owners cared about pleasing their customers, which they do not. But it's the owners decision not to offer golf cart service except during check in and check out. It's also their decision not to offer transport into town throughout the day. They could partner up with Sakura restaurant, the closest and best restaurant around, but it's really too far to walk. I will agree with others that the bar, though nice, makes the worse drinks. It's not just the cheap alcohol they use, but the nasty mixers. The pina coladas and margaritas are just bland and bitter. If you drink, stick with the Saigon 33 beer. It's the best option on the drink list.

We booked this last minute after a recommendation from our hotel in Hoi an and book 7 nights. As a new hotel I couldn't find many reviews but decided to take the gamble and it certainly paid off. The rooms and staff are exceptional and catered for our every needs. We only ate at the hotel once as there is such a great choice of places to eat in the local area. As a seasoned traveller this hotel is currently rated as a 3 star I would say give it a year it will be up there with the 4 star hotels on the island. If you looking for a peaceful place to stay in a fantastic location at a great rate I would highly recommend daisy resort.

The bungalows were very clean, spacious and tidy. The staff was friendly and helpful. The resort is situated in beautiful location with about 5-7 minutes walk to the beach. We would love to stay there again, highly recommended. PS Only problem was when there was a group of holidaymakers partying around the pool until very late hours (well past midnight), which was right next to our bungalow, the staff did not react despite resort rule book stating that the noise should be kept to a minimum after 10pm, so it was difficult for kids to sleep.
