Lampang Province hotels & places to stay

Every time I go to Lampang, I always stay at Wienglakor. Why? I'm impressed in the way they keep up their appearance and quality of service. The hotel always looks elegant and peaceful. A place you can sit and relax and rest cozily. Everything is well maintained and beautifully decorated. Staff are friendly and helpful. And its location near Central Plaza Lampang is a plus.

To appreciate the Baan Suchadaa properly one needs to know a little about the owner, Bas, and his wife Khun Da. Bas is Dutch and after a long and very successful career in Europe he travelled extensively The Far east and eventually decided to move permanently to Thailand and build a brand new, authentic Thai Hotel. After a long process they settled on Lampang eight years ago and found a suitable site, on the edge of open rice fields, about three kilometres outside Lampang. They have created an absolutely beautiful, Thai/Lanna style hotel with three main buildings with fine, steep, red tiled roofs. These are beside a lovely ornamental lake and alongside the lake are two equally beautiful bungalows, each housing two fabulous, themed, luxury bedrooms. Each room is in its own style but no expense has been spared to make them superb. Beyond the main buildings the Infinity Pool rests just above the lovely views across the open fields. One can relax outside the main 'Clubhouse' building to share drinks, food or just relax in this oasis of peace. The food was superb and Bas and Da simply could not have made us more welcome.... nothing was too much trouble and after just a few days we felt like genuinely true friends of theirs. All the staff shared this warmth and this has to be one of the most special places that one could visit, to relax, recharge, have peace and enjoy a perfect romantic break. This is a very 'Adult' hotel and Bas does not really want children at his hotel, which, given the incredible style and attention to every detail to make this a very beautiful place, is quite understanding. This was one of the most enjoyable stays that we have ever had and The Baan Suchadaa is a reason in itself for visiting Lampang. The distance outside Lampang is no problem at all as 'Kalinins' are easily found and take about five minutes from the town to the Baan Suchadaa. Thank you Bas and Da for a wonderful stay.... we will be back!!

Lovely modern hotel... With all the amenities. Bed comfortable, pillows could use a little improvement but ok, clean, good air conditioning. Bathroom large and clean, hot water can be really hot if desired. Seating area in room and desk. Adequate parking during of visit. Handicap accessible. Elevator. Can not comment on breakfast as we ate elsewhere. Staff could use a little more English. Easy to find, large signs on road. All in all one of the bettet hotels in Lampang.

I've walked and gone everywhere and had very gooood sleep there for 3 nights. Thank you for the front girls staff. They were very kind, professionnal and helpful. They helped me a lot. Thank you so much. The room was clean. it's near the center by 5 minutes by car i think. In Lampang i recommand to rent a scooter to go everywhere. the airport is at 10 minutes by car and the train station at 5 minutes i think. You can go to Chiang Mai by train or bus. it's cheap. I recommend this hotel.

Great little hotel in a great location. I've been to Lampang before but this was my first stay here and it probably won't be my last. Modern room - lots of powerpoints, quiet, walking distance to the weekend night market. Only possible negative was the breakfast was basic but that's what you get at this price range and there was nothing wrong with it. To those in other reviews that complain about the beds being hard - so are most beds in Thailand and Asia for that matter. The bed wasn't particularly hard compared to anywhere else.

I love this place. It is unique and cozy along the route to downtown also a good place in between the northward way from Bangkok to Chieng Mai. I took only 10 minutes driving to Pra Tat Lampang Luang, an unseen amazing landmark of Thailand. But you may take longer during the festive seasons (New Year, Songkarn, etc.) Service is excellent although the staff may have very light knowledge about their city. ABF is acceptable but not outstanding. It looks like another planet by night. Not recommending to hang out in rainy season as you have to fight with mosquitos. But if you love unique and cozy place, comfortable, flagship location to a hip county in Lampang. I prefer to recommend this hotel.

If you are in Lampang, stay here! The location and facilities here are the best and so relaxing. You will feel like you are at home. The breakfast is very good and includes a green salad on the side of your eggs and toast. The staff is very helpful and informative. Overall, we were very satisfied and feel that we could have not stayed at a better place or paid a better price in all of Lampang. Thank you!

We stayed 3 nights at Hop Inn Lampang. We were a bit confuse at first since there are 2 Hop Inn hotels in Lampang in a very close proximity of each other. Regardless, the checkin was fast and there was 100 baht deposit for the key. Hair dryer can also be borrowed for 100 baht deposit as well. The room was nice and clean and wifi was fast and good signal. Carparks were spacious and can park many cars. The most downside of the hotel was that on the first night we stayed at the hotel, there were drunk group of people staying on our whole floor and they were very noisy until around 5am!! I did report it to the reception but seems like its impossible to stop those drunk people from being very noisy since they were drunk and all. The second night was nice and quiet tho. Then again, third night (Friday), there was a night event markets so it was very noisy again but only until around midnight which was bearable. Overall, if it wasn't for a very noisy environment, I would love to be back to the hotel again.

I have been to Thailand many times and have been in Chiang Mai for the first time in Nanbang. I am honored to stay in this hotel with room 306. The 4-day stay is very good! Every service staff is very good, help the aunts to clean up, smile and say hello every day, ask if you need to clean, work is very serious! The breakfast is very rich, each one is delicious, the restaurant service staff is very good! The two beautiful women working at the front desk will also greet each day when they come in and out. They ask what they are doing today, and they will take the initiative to tell where to play, so they become good friends. Although there is not much time for further exchanges, if I have the opportunity to come to Lampang again, I will definitely stay in this hotel again, thank you very much for every service staff, I look forward to seeing you next time!

This hotel is several separate buildings on a large piece of land that is directly next to a major highway. The noise from the highway is not a problem unless you are staying in the building that faces the highway. One of the buildings isan ice cream and coffee shop. There is a medium sized swimming pool. The breakfast is asian food only. The location of the hotel is only a few minutes from downtown Lampang and the street market but you must have a car. You cannot walk from the hotel. Do not stay at this hotel unless you have a car and dont mind driving to get anywhere. The beds are also very very hard as the mattresses are really just thick fabric. The bathrooms are big but the rooms are medium to smaller in size but the place is clean with bright and cute decorations. It is really a thai only type of tourist hotel. Because of the smimming pool, pastry shop and large area to run around it may be a good place for a family with small children but others will feel trapped.

For the price this was a wonderful find. Even better as a basic breakfast was included. It's a fairly new hotel, caters to long term rentals too, but the rooms are a good size, good bathroom with most toiletries included, good airconditioning, friendly and helpful staff at check in, and plenty of power points in the room for recharging etc. It is a good few kilometres out of town so you would need your own transport, and Lampang is one of those places where I just have no clue about navigating around. That said it's a really comfortable night's stay, great bed, and a bit of breakfast included. Highly recommended if you have your own transport. I would stay here again for sure.

Lada House is as nice as the people who manage it! They welcomed and helped us in whatever we need and over. They let us use their bicycles, very convenient way to go around Lampang. Although breakfast was not included in the room, tea, coffe, toast and fruit were available in the morning. I can only recommend Lada House, I would go back there if I should visit Lampang again.

The owners were extremely welcoming and helpful. They went out their way to help us find the best deals with trips and taxi. We were impressed by their passion and warmheartedness. We will definitely stay at Le Neuf Nakorn Lampang again next time we are in Lampang. P.S. Don't follow Google Maps if you are driving. Drive inside the alley next to the auto parts store. It is much easier.

This hotel is well worn but clean for it's age and long use. Our room was good and for the price it served its purpose as we were only two small blocks away from the Saturday night market. Also, he hotel is only a five minute walk to a very good pizza and Italian restaurant where we had one of the best pizzas in Thailand at an eatery run by an American/Thai couple. The bed was decent, the linens good, and plenty of hot water with good pressure in the shower. Also, the towels were thick and made of 100 percent cotton which is sometimes a rarity.

I read reviews of Siri Hotel after I'd already booked it and they put me off staying so I think it's only right that I point out that this place is very reasonable and the rooms are really big, with great showers and a comfortable lounge area as well as a spacious bedroom. I don't really know what people expect for the low price, but I thought it was absolutely fine and I dare say I'll stay there again in the future.

Asia Lampang Hotel use to be my favorite hotel in Lampang. Unfortunately it no longer is. The points are; 1) I was put on 5th floor, but the elevator is only for the first 4 floors. 2) No bell service to help carry luggage . I had to personally grab a luggage trolley by myself to move all the bags from my car to 4th floor and hand carry them all up the stairs to 5th floor. 3) Breakfast is worse than before. No more egg and sausage!!! No fruit juice!!! No butter, cheap oily margarine. However, breakfast may not be an issue for people who love to have only rice or boiled rice.

If you like small, family-owned hotels, with beautiful grounds, tasteful traditional-style decor, a convenient location, and helpful staff - at a very reasonable price - this is the place for you. The hotel is located on Wang Nuea Road, a residential street which has a characterful non-touristy street market on Friday and Sunday nights. The hotel is set back from the road. It is a garden-swathed building with wide awnings which keep it pleasantly cool. There are couches, tables and chairs for hanging out and enjoying the peaceful environment. An antique television set, shelves of reading material, and traditional textiles contribute to the homey atmosphere. At breakfast, one can enjoy a nice jasmine tea from Chiang Rai. I had a deluxe room, which was spacious and had a beautiful view overlooking the lush garden. The floors are wood. The bed was very comfortable with all-cotton sheets. There was a large-screen TV. The bathroom is wet-room style and had hot water. The owner of the guesthouse is friendly and speaks excellent English. He had great tips on places to visit, which was very useful because most guidebooks don't have enough about Lampang. He even made a map showing all of the restaurants in the local area which he personally tried to make sure they're ok! The guesthouse is within walking distance of tourist sites such as the major temples and the traditional commercial area (Chinatown) near the river. You can also borrow a bicycle for free from the guesthouse. I originally booked to stay at Auangkham Resort for 1 night, but liked it and Lampang so much that I decided to stay for two. I highly recommend Auangkham Resort.

Very visually beautiful hostel that my kids loved. Bunk beds were very comfortable and the quality of the bedding waa excellent. Breakfast was a bit odd for a UK palate! Toast fine, bananas fine but little biscuits that I have seen people in other hotels have with milk (like cereal) but memmoth did not provide milk. Would definitely stay again, though little of interest in the town for our young children/teenager. If you are in lampang...this is THE place to stay :-)

very clean rooms. every piece of goods selected by owner and design very good, high quality. relax and enjoy with delicious breakfast. owner is very kind and helpful. i wish they will earn more and more because they work nice. their aim is make customer comfortable not making money. they know how to behave people. if we will stay again in Lampang, we no need to search any hotel because u cant find better than this. 10 star.
