I and my partner stayed at The Sands for two nights and the best thing about this hotel is the bed and pillows. It was so comfortable to the point we wouldn't want to leave our beds until late mornings. The staffs were alright, maybe it's only to us, but they didn't show much of an effort into assisting us, except for the male staffs. The breakfast was amazing with very large varieties of foods (Thai, American, etc) and they have two restaurants, one serves Thai cuisine while another offers seafood and international cuisine. The restaurants also offer special nights with cheap prices. The hotel itself is very modern designed and it gave us a very home feeling. Our room was Seaview junior suite, everything in the room is just like the pictures on website except for the size, it looks a little bigger in the picture. Since Khao Lak is a peaceful district/town, jet skis or any other types of motorized vehicles aren't allowed as they would disturb the order of nature. Overall, this hotel is great for its price.

The location of this resort is great. Fantastic beach, close to the two main areas in Khao Lak but still keeping it private and quiet. The family room is great with its double rooms makes it ideal for families with little kids who want to have some space. Our girls loved to have their own space too and had all their toys and books in the second room. Things that can be improved upon is: The food - not great for a 5 star resort, definitely needs improving The service - Although the staff are extremely friendly we found ourselves having to chase them to hire water sports equipment, and often had to walk across the resort multiple times to find them. Other than that we had a great time and would definitely recommend this resort

This is my best experience of the service ever! All the staffs are very informative, helpful, and friendly (always smile, and help with everything). The front staffs are very nice, the lady guided and explained me with every useful information about the hotel while taking us to the room. We had such a good room (A 120), which was very well decorated especially with the pool access and the orchids in bed and bathroom. The pool access was very impressive especially that we had a "sea-view" from outside of our balcony (beside the swimming pool). Even though the pool outside the room is a public pool, guesses can still enjoy privacy since there are walls in the pool (at the balcony) that separate each room. So, guesses have there own spaces in the pool right outside of the room. The hotel is located on a quiet, white-sand beach, which is perfect for those who like to relax just right beside the sea. The bar is located beside the beach, and also provides full main courses. Unfortunately, we did not have a chance to try the massage or the spa. My partner loves movies, and the hotel provides free movies for borrowing. Everything was almost perfect for the accommodation & services that I could hardly find the flaws, and I would like to rate 5 stars and above for this hotel unlike other 5 stars I have visited previously that were not as good as Apsaras. Well, at least for some suggestion to the hotel, I would only required the upgrade to LCD TV instead of 29" flat screen TV. However, this was not really matter since we mostly enjoyed swimming and the hotel surroundings rather than to stay in the room and watch TV. I do recommend for those who like quiet private beaches, but not too lonely because it seemed that there are a lot of (returning) guesses all the time. No wonder why many people are likely return to this place, and I would consider this hotel again if I plan for a trip to Phang-Nga again. Best place, best value!

We stayed at the Leaf Oceanside for 14 nights in a Leaf room. From our arrival at midnight, everything at this resort was excellent. Our room was spotlessly clean, nicely decorated and the bed was very comfortable. We know from previous experience that beds in Thailand are notoriously hard but this bed was one of the best we have slept in. Plenty of cupboard space and drawers, 3 large mirrors, lovely balcony with chairs and hanging rails and a nice view of the garden and the Leaf pool and hills in the distance. The bathroom was great with a huge shower, plenty of room for two in at one time. Breakfast was a lovely buffet, with enough selection to please, fresh fruit, yoghurts, bacon, ham, sausages, eggs any style, continental salads and cheese, and delicious Thai dishes which were different every day, lots of breads, croissants and danish pastries, with tea and coffee. We have read lots of negative comments about the breakfasts, and can only say that some people are obviously very hard to please, and should probably book 5 star resorts and pay a lot more, to get what they expect. We felt that this resort was wonderful value for money, and were extremely happy with everything. The staff were very pleasant and we found them attentive, and quick to try and please. The pools were sparkling clean, and being low season, there were plenty of deck chairs and umbrellas to go round. The pool towels were the best we have ever seen, super long, so that they covered the deck chair end to end. The gardens were well maintained and very tidy and pretty. Unfortunately for us, we arrived during the tail end of a cyclone in the area, so had lots of rain. It was very pleasant to sit on our balcony and read and drink coffee, and enjoy the tropical downpour. We loved the balcony for the privacy it afforded us, and preferred the Leaf rooms to the pool view rooms because of the privacy aspect. I must admit when looking to book this hotel I wondered why there were not many reviews. After recently staying here over xmas week I now know why. I think guests want to keep this amazing resort underwraps! If your looking for a serene, peaceful holiday on stunning grounds and want to get away from touristy Khao Lak than this is your place. The resort was amazing! It is a boutique hotel hidden on the pristine white beaches of Bangask. As soon as we saw the beach my first comment was that the pictures on the internet do not do it justice. Its miles and miles of clean white beaches and blue waters. The best bit is that there is hardly anyone on the beach. (A welcome relief for the overcrowded beaches of Phuket). The resort grounds are surrounded with lush tall great plants and the infinity pool is stunning. The staff is very attentive to your needs and extremely friendly. The rooms are very large and spacious and most importantly very comfortable. With all that said I do want to give a heads up. This resort is designed for couples.It is 20 minutes outside of Khao Lak so I do suggest to hire a car or motorbike but the hotel will happily order you a taxi too if you do need to go into town. As for food we found the hotel breakfast to be very plentiful and the food delicious. If your looking for a great value for money resort and for some peace and quiet this is your resort! Excellent!!! The first impression was airport pick-up (booked directly with the hotel). It costed us only 500 THB more for roundtrip airport transfer compared to hiring car/taxi from airport or other service company and it was worth it. Hotel staff waited for us at the airport, helped us with luggages, transported us in a nice comfortable vehicle, and have refreshment available during the trip. The hotel has been well designed and set up to give space and privacy to every unit. The room itself (we were in Duplex Grand Pool Villa) is very large, with reasonable sized pool, and well equipped with everything we expected from a five-star hotel. The mac mini systems in the living room and bedroom is a good fun. There are many design ideas and details we like very much and even plan to have them at home. Minibar is included in the room rate and replenished daily, or whenever you asked. The only problem in the room is the fridge, which will never make anything cold enough to drink. No need to complain or try different settings, just ask for ice bucket. Staffs are very friendly and attentive. Majority of them do not speak English well but they always try to communicate and satisfy guests. I speak Thai, so there was no problem at all. The room was always kept clean. Service at the restaurant was really good. Everyone was always willing to help, and they remember us, what we like, and what happened the day before. Breakfast was good, not a big buffet but sufficient and with good quality produces. Food at the restaurant was good, small menu tailored for international guests. There is nothing to complain about food quality and service but it is quite pricey. Overall - a great place for holidays. Very comfortable and relaxing.

This hotel was the perfect place to relax! Coming into the hotel, it felt like it was in the middle of nowhere, but upon arrival we were greeted by two friendly bell boys. We had a welcome drink on arrival and check in was quick and easy. The room was a Delux room with a balcony (no private pool access) and it was huge! The bed was a super king or equivalent. We also had a couch and coffee table, beach bag with towels, full closet with clothes hangers etc. The facilities of the hotel were brilliant - plenty of pool/sun desk space, two swim up pool bars, breakfast with a view and a fully equipped restaurant and day spa. It made it easy not to leave the hotel. The hotel also had free bike hire so you could cycle to the local shops and restaurants outside of the hotel, plus you could rent a scooter/motorbike for a fairly cheap and comparable rate per day. The only thing I could fault was the food - it was a bit average. I'd definitely recommend coming for relaxation and to unwind.

Sensimar is a nice hotel with 4+ star facilities and a great staff. But you should be aware that it is not an independent hotel but rather part of a German chain based in Hanover Germany. It is a high volume tourist mill filled with middle aged tourists most of whom are there on package tours. We were there at the end of the season and it was still very full. Breakfast was very crowded, staff asks you for "vouchers" for your other meals, expect to sign away your first born child for a beach towel. The night we ate the buffet dinner, we actually had staff come by in the middle of our dinner and put a little sticker on our sleeve like we were dining in a cheap cafeteria somewhere instead of an elegant resort. And you can forget about getting a glass of water with your dinner. Water is available for breakfast because it is included with your room and cheaper for them to supply bulk water on their dime, but any other time they make you buy bottled water because they can bill you for it. It is too bad that the facilities which are well maintained, the rooms which are beautiful and the staff which is friendly and helpful is marred by the package tourist mentality and policies of hotel management. It could be a really elegant place if they treated their guests graciously as well. If you are looking for a relaxed uncrowded independent experience and personalized treatment, you would be advised to select a smaller more intimate hotel. The entire Khao Lak area including the Sensimar is currently suffering from salt water intrusion into their aquifer. All of the water, pool, shower, tap is salty. They claim that the water district is working on another well but for now if you are going to Khao Lak, plan on being salty the whole trip.

I highly recommend this to anyone who is visiting Khoa Lak. We visited at the low season – it was quiet and sunny and a great period to relax. We were torn between this hotel and its sister hotel The Oriental Resort which has a swimming pool which is length of the hotel, it turns out that they are both on the same complex and guests can use the Oriental Pool. The Bandhari offers a great swimming pool too. Bandhari is luxury at its best. It’s not a modern hotel, but instead it has a rich, traditional, warm Thai design and feel about it. We stayed in a Thai Chalet – the rooms are huge, the beds are lovely and the living space is huge, the bathroom is great too. Our balcony overlooked the feature pond and gardens. Our room felt very private. The beach is literally across a small road, but we barely visited it as the resort was far too nice and we didn’t want to leave. Breakfast is excellent. Staff are very attentive – poo and her colleague at the front of house are also very friendly. The cleaners are also very thorough.

We stayed for 9 nights, our room was very spacious and clean. You can tell the hotel has been revamped recently, but they put a lot of effort in it. Our room was in the main building, facing the pool and featuring a large balcony with additional racks to hang wet clothes and towels (pool/beach towels were provided). Breakfast was simple, but enough and tasty (mix of continental and local thai/asian food). The hotel is located near the beach (second row), and within easy reach of restaurants, bars, massage parlors, a pharmacy and a doctor. There's a local market 3 days a week, and local taxis are readily available near the hotel with the destination prices clearly written on a board. If you want a pre-organized tour to visit any island or national park or go elephant riding, you can chose from a multitude of providers (since there are mostly German couples in Khao Lak most tours can optionally be booked with a German speaking guide). If want to explore on your own there are plenty of places to rent scooters from. If taking a taxi from Phuket Airport I suggest to pre-book one online (one-way ~1,200THB, max 3 ppl), it proved easier and way cheaper than trying to get one upon arrival.

i stayed at this resort for 5 nights with my family (2yrs old boy). i stayed other 2 resort hotels after la flora resort in nai yang and rawai, and i'd like to recommend this resort for a family stay at very reasonable cost!! they do not charge the baby cot & 2yrs old stay. they have a baby-seat available for the transport (public taxi never have baby cot!) with 300bahts (this gave us a peace of mind in the crazy thai traffic). breakfast - available from 630am to 1030am with various salad, fruits, asian food, eggs, many kinds of breads & corn flakes. my kids is very fussy with food but we always could find something he can eat. rooms - big enough however our room booked via agoda was located on the same building as the reception, so it was a little noisy but was not too bad. the beach was a little bit too much wave and could not get in at all (maybe because of the season?) but we enjoyed so much with the hotel pool which has excellent ocean view! many families with young kids were staying so did not need to worry too much to be noisy at the hotel pool, as they also have beach chairs available on beach for adults. staff - kind and friendly to kids. very flexible. baby-sitter could be arranged on spot ( one of the hotel staffs came to look after my son during his sleep) at 300bahts/hr. others - beach was beautiful but a little bit too big waves and not for swim for small children. i only saw a few people swimming in the ocean. but play with sand is good, and a bar is available on the beach. restaurant food was very good and reasonable price but the drinks are a little bit expensive. overall - excellent resort, and more than 100% of cost value. we enjoyed so much. one little thing i worried about this resort was tsunami. i think staffs are all trained and are aware of the procedure, but not much high-land around the resort. also not sure why but many of shops & restaurants around this area were closed down and looks a little bit run down.

khaolak emerald beach resort & spa is located in khao lak on the private beach of khao lak phang-nga facing the andaman sea. we booked “superior garden view room” (upgraded to “grand family room”) for total and stayed there with my family for 3 nights during my business trip on congress being held in same resort. it is ideal retreat for older couples and families with children allowing for a tranquil vacation. our room has been kept clean and staff has all been very friendly and considerate towards clients. the drawback was that we were accommodated on the 4th floor and it was quite difficult to climb with our 1.8-year-old baby (there is no lift in the hotel). another problem was the electricity. i happened several times, once in the afternoon which last few hours and again at the evening time. during the evening time generators were switched up to maintain electricity in the hotel and it was too noisy in our room! there are two swimming pools: one on the beach and the second with rotational tube water slide near the lagoon (family lagoon pool). there is also small sandy playground with slide and children's outdoor toys for small babies. my baby really loved to play there and it was quite difficult to pull her away afterwards. there are two restaurants: “beach club ocean grill & bar” on the beach front and “lagoon restaurant & bar” serving western-style and asian breakfast buffet. our breakfast was included in the booking but need to say without much variety. however lunch that was served in “lagoon restaurant” on behalf of organizing committee of congress was really excellent. especially i would like mention amazing dinner on monday (17 oct, 2011) with thai style seafood cuisine (crabs, shrimp, squid, and mussels) served on the beach during sunset time and thai cultural show organized by organizing committee of congress.

We loved Sentido Graceland. The staff are all friendly and helpful. The facilities were excellent and the hospitality shown was great. Our Pool Access Suite was spotless as was the pool and the resort grounds and gardens are very well kept. We knew the location was more isolated from Khao Lak town than other places we have stayed but were happy to book our spot on the complimentary shuttle bus when we wanted to visit town. A tip for anyone wanting to pay an extra night to have super late checkout if you have a late-night flight.....make sure you include it in your original booking. I made an extra booking for 1 night (which the hotel confirmed via email a month before would be fine) but it caused issues. I had to explain it again 3 times during the stay (each time reception agreed it would be fine) but on the final day I still received a phone call after midday asking us to vacate and I had to explain it all again. I was then told I should have told reception about it. We were able to stay in the room but our access cards were deactivated anyway. We worked around that by not leaving the room together until we checked out. All this to say I am sure there would have been no problem if I'd had the foresight to include the extra night in the original booking. The food in the resort restaurants was excellent and we also had many excellent meals at the beach restaurants next door. I also had a few loads of laundry done via the vendor on the beach - it was relatively cheap with excellent results.

My stay at the monochrome hotel was one of my favorite experiences of any hotel that I stayed at in Thailand. The service was excellent we had a small problem with the shower in our room and immediately the repair department came down to fix the shower with a smile on his face it was done in a matter of minutes. The staff is friendly and always willing to help with any situation with smile. As soon as we checked into the hotel for our stay we were automatically upgraded to a better room than what we had booked on Agoda. My only complaint was with the restaurant connected to the hotel , the food was mediocre at best and the farang chef was walking around conversing with customers bragging about how good his food was and saying most people don't know what real Italian food taste like. It was absolutely embarrassing the food itself was presented well but a 12-year-old could cook spaghetti just as well. Our waiter on the other hand was excellent spoke good English and was very helpful very friendly and gave service with a smile.

We spent two weeks and over Christmas at the X2 Khao Lak and I can honestly state that this is one of the most charming places I ever stayed on a holiday. Room: we had a villa which is definitely a large, bright and comforting space. Entry in living room, super large bed, big bathroom with rainshower and bathtub and many amenities do leave nothing to be desired. Housekeeping comes twice a day. Big extra beach towels free at the reception (nice for trips as well). Facility just great, with just several rooms you always have a lot of space and free seats in this small garden, with a little pool as well and a nice sea view. You feel more like in a private villa. Beach is beautiful and not crowded. If you want a big hotel with large facilities, that is not the place to be. But if you want a luxury, quite and private atmosphere, X2 is your choice.

we have visited khao lak ovber the last 4 years and this little hotel is the best by far, location a bit out of town but no big issue as tuk tuk readily availble. this hotel is small and quaint sert in beautiful tropical surrounding with the beautiful beach right on your doorstep, we stayed in a deluxe room overlooking the pool, room huge plenty of room , cleaners do a fantastic job, breakfast was plentiful i dont understand why people moan about this your not in 5 star all inclusive. i will definatley come and stay at the bayfront resort again , thanks to all the friendly staff and hopefully see you all next year yours sue and jon

my best friend and i was looking for a mini getaway from phuket so we ended up with khaolak. there are not so many 5 stars hotels to choose but this time we really want to try jw marriott out. it is also our first jw stay ever so we really have no expectation before the arrival. it turned out to be perfect since check-in eventhough weather was not friendly for us. we enjoyed the pool for almost 3 hours in the rain in which we didn't care. the staff at the pool bar were so friendly and kept us company with genuine conversation and smile. we tried out the thai restaurant for dinner since we heard the negative comments from out friends about mediteranian one. the atmosphere at the restaurant was great, it was packed with guests. authentic taste but for sure, pricey for thai food. the breakfast was awesome. egg benedict was done nicely and i went for the second one within 5 minutes. smoothies were freshy made. nice coffee and tea service. bread, danish and pastry were ready at all times. nice selection of thai and indian vegetarian selections. the full glass wall view to the ocean at the restaurant was perfect to start your morning. you get everything you want here at jw marriott. an absolutely right choice to choose!

The hardest reviews to write are the ones for hotels that were everything you could have wanted and more. Purely because adjectives to describe perfection are limited and overused. This is precisely the case with C&N Resort. In all my travels throughout Thailand this was the one destination I had not planned to go to. It was a mistake, but one I have had the luck to be extremely glad I made. If you're after a relaxing, 5-star getaway with excellently prepared fresh food grown on the premises, friendly service that goes over and above the call of duty, quiet and clean surroundings and air conditioned beach huts on unspoilt fine white sandy beaches (that are swept by hotel staff in the morning!), then I cannot recommend C&N highly enough. Every facility offered was of the best standard, the huts were simple but stylish, safe and secure with all mod-cons necessary. No mini-bar, but believe me, you won't need it. The hotel restaurant serves excellent dishes and I took to asking the waitress to just bring whatever she recommended for the night. Their signature cocktail, the C&N Sunset is also pretty sensational. But be prepared to relax! It's a small island, not much going on unless you like to walk (a scooter will take you 'round the entire island in a day). This is no party island. It's for grown-ups that enjoy a peace and quiet in a sophisticated setting. If I could have extended my visit and stayed here for the entire month I would have been one perfectly content woman. Go - before the hordes ruin the heavenly tranquility. A taxi from the north of Phuket on Highway 44 to Nam Kem Pier, past Khao Lak, cost (+/- 1.5 - 2hrs from Phuket airport - estimate +/- 68km). From pier take ferry or long-tail to Kho Khao Island and tuk tuk to hotel .

Best beach in Khao Lak without a doubt ! It may be a short ride into town, but what is really in Khao Lak town ?? Not much that we were interested in ! The night market is in Bang Nieng (excuse the spelling) which isn't far and a great place to visit, but I wouldn't want to stay there, Kantary was just brilliant ! to be honest, it is a bit rough around the edges, it is so close to being 5* but is to Thai ! lol. It needs a lick of paint and a spring clean in the communal areas, but if your not super posh you'll love it ! The people that work there are lovely, whatever you give them in time and friendship they will give back 10 fold !! the food is quality and happy hour in the bar 7-8 is a added plus ! plus if you want, you can have a short walk down the beach to White Sands Beach resort, which isn't a touch on Kantary but the food has a more local feel to it and there is another restaurant next door which is great too ! try the bananas in coconut milk ! one of our fav's ! The pool is great the water sports equipment is cheap and you'll get a free lesson from the staff !! I needed it, when trying to remember how to windsurf ! excellent ! We hired a moped for the time we were there, We went to all the beaches and quite a few hotels and all in all I think weighing everything up, for the time of year we were there (I say that, as things might be different if the hotel was fully occupied) We loved the fact that we had pool to ourselves (sometimes!) and the staff had more time to talk etc. hope the review helps, we stayed 10 nights Nov 4th - Nov 14th 2014.

As we were going to Kao Lak on honeymoon, we thought long and hard before booking here, we didn't want a large five star hotel with oveaattentive service as we just wanted to be left alone, to rent motorbikes, with midnight swimming to be a plus and at the same time we wanted something quite Thai and exotic that enabled some sort of privacy. We also couldn't afford one of those individual villas so when we came across Gerd and Noi bungalows, at the fraction of the 5 star hotels and the villas it seemed to be what we were looking for. I was cautious that the lower than usual price was going to disguise some sort of drawback but I am happy to say it didn't. It was good value for the price and the photos on Agoda actually don't do it justice as it really is a charming place and being the size it was, it never felt crowded with families or kids, despite us staying during peak season. The Gerd and Noi website photos are a better reflection of what it really looks like, it looks more like on the website. Service wise, you could compare it to a family run place, very friendly but you're left to on your own unless you ask for something.

We really enjoyed our stay at Chongfah, we had a seaview bungalow which is located right on the beach, you can enjoy an evening drink watching the sunset. The staff were excellent, perhaps the best staff at any hotel or resort which we have stayed. We had a very enjoyable peaceful break, the only draw back was the weather (it rained a lot) but no one has control over that. We would recommend this resort and we will are planning to return in the future.

Fantastic hotel, up there with the best we've stayed in. It's definitely worth paying extra for a poolside villa, they are stunning and it's great to step off your terrace straight into the shallow, warm pool. Breakfast was really good too. Only thing was the communication before we stayed, I emailed several times and phoned twice and didn't get any response. It was all ok though. No security deposit needed on checking in, I did have to pay 100 Baht for a glass that I broke from the room (not complaining, I was washing it and it slipped out of my hand, I'm clumsy)! Check in was efficient and fast. Staff are a delight. I asked about a late check out for our last day as the taxi wasn't picking us up until 16:00, no problem and no charge, I couldn't believe it!! Highly recommended, would definitely return.

difficult to locate but once there is well worth the trouble. staff meet and greet in numbers, check in easy, welcome drink in reception, room large, modern, spotless. this would have to be the best i have stayed not just in thailand but all my travels in total. breakfast was a choice of full a full menu bottomless coffee, served in room for 20 t baht, breakfast is free. only downside is the isolated location and internet charges, ( t baht/hour)more than i pay rent per day on my phuket house, suited us, rained the whole four days but hotel has a large dvd library (free). about 20 minutes from khoa lak town and then not a lot to do, free shuttle to town or the beach. staff were great and it felt good to leave a tip to show our appreciation.

This was our second visit to Thailand, last year we stayed at a 5 star resort and was quite isolated. We much preferred staying at the Mukdara as it was very conveniently located. On the one side you have Bang Niang beach.where we took a morning stroll after breakfast. In the evening you can also watch the sun setting whilst enjoying cocktails or a beer, happy hour helps knowing you can buy one get one free. you are only a short stroll outside the front of the resort to a good selection of bars and restaurants, and shops where you can get everything you need. There is a local night market where you get clothes shoes and the usual tourist items, and then there is the food. Wow market food was incredible very cheap and real quality I recommend you visit if only to try the food. The grounds at the Mukdara are impeccable and the ground staff do a excellent job they are always busy pruning and tidying etc. I would say the staff overall are brilliant very helpful and cheerful. I would recommend using the hotel transport to and from the airport it is a very enjoyable and relaxing experience and compared to airport prices much cheaper, I would also say safer. We stayed in a deluxe villa which we booked ourselves through agoda and was a very easy process. That said I couldn't get the airport transfer going there despite requesting a form from them which I didn't receive but other than that I booked through agoda as they were £100 cheaper than anyone else. Our villa was brilliant and the outside shower was an experience not to be missed. We came here for the chance to relax and unwind which you will do with no problem I would definitely recommend staying here and using agoda as the booking agent.

This was our second visit to The Kib at Koh Kho Khao this year. We wanted to come back to this nice and quiet island. The people here are friendly and nice, so are the staff at the hotel. The hotel staff make us feel welcome and do everything they can to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The food in the restaurant is excellent and nicely presented.The breakfast is very good, with a good choice of fruit, eggs, omelette, bacon, ham etc.etc. However in our last stay, november 2009, the food they served on the beach was not the same. Something failed with the logistic. The fish was grilled at too low temperature and the rice cold. Too long to wait for the food. But still - it is nice to eat on the beach, with the feet in the sand - looking at the stars and the sea - so if not everything is perfect - it is still a perfect night. The rooms are quite big and comfortable. We had a de luxe room - and it was very nice. Cleaning every day. The hotel has a very good spa with very nice and reasonably priced thai massage, which we will recommend. From the bar - have a drink and watch the wonderful sunset. Most of all - enjoy the smile and the nice conversations with all people who work and live on Koh Kho Khao. They are special!!!

The staff make this a 5 star hotel they are attentive without being overbearing. They are willing to help with no matter being too trivial for them. I mentioned that I had a dietary requirement and did not think to much about it. At breakfast and evening meal the chef had made me home made gluten free bread and cakes, some of the best I have had. This was all done with out any prompting. We stayed at the end of the monsoon season and went out for a walk and got caught in the rain, the staff were there waiting with towels for us upon our return. These are just a few examples which made our stay just a bit more special. The restaurant is superb with fine dining, the all day breakfast is something to behold. The grounds are extremely well maintained and are beautiful and tranquil. The hotel has easy access to the beach. The room we had spacious and well appointed. All in all we had an enjoyable stay here , despite the rain! I would describe this as a luxury hotel with superb staff.
